I thought my mouse problems were over but I did hear a noise this morning that could have been the mouse. Also, I found more evidence of what it has been eating. See the Food Thread.
I found my monitor unplugged this morning. Also some close calls but my computer never had to be turned back on. I had to do that several times over the weekend.

Our ceiling fan was incredibly dusty yesterday which had built up quite a bit of dust on it. It's much cleaner now but it was challenging in reaching some of it.

I keep hearing mouse noises but haven't actually seen it.
Several near incidents with the computer and I think the monitor has been unplugged since I posted last. Virus scan went fine but I kept seeing a message about updates which said 0% complete. I hope all the time my computer was on took care of that. I was given a message to close for updates.
No more coming home in the dark but I've had a hard enough time getting up n the morning. Now it will be even earlier. Plus I don't know how to change the time on the clock radio. It's always an experiment. Could be worse, though. The one I have that changes automatically requires a college degree to figure out, and my problem with the older one is I can't see the buttons. The one that changes automatically thinks the change still happens in April, though, and I used it for Paul Harvey and then Mike Huckabee.

I saw the mouse four times. Why won't it go away? There is food and a trap. What is it eating?
I lost some information when I had to unplug the computer because even CTRL-ALT-DEL gave me a blue screen with just a circle. Not a rotating circle. And nothing happened. This was with the comics! And I forgot to finish them. I'll just have to do it tomorrow. I also used CTRL-ALT-DEL with a Berkshire Hathaway newspaper.
I tried reading the online newspaper on Saturday and felt good that it was so short and I got so much read. Then there turned out to be much more. I tried emailing the newspaper to get answers on how much I should read to get all the news that would have been in a real paper and how to get to that e-edition when the day is over. No response! We were promised our questions would be answered and that subscribers would be made happy. I guess that's just fake news.
A giant chunk of ice broke in my freezer when I had trouble opening it after a few days. With some effort I was able to put it outside and it melted.

I saw the mouse several more times.
I'm not getting much help from the people at The Charlotte Observer and they should be ashamed at their claim they would do whatever they could.
I lost Roy when a "Modern Family" marathon aired. I wondered why there were six on one TiVo and four on another. Then I remembered. If there's not enough room for six, it will delete two to record the last two.
And speaking of TiVo, the one I use most couldn't find my newest one. I checked and the WiFi wasn't working. I signed in and things seemed fine, but the problem with the other TiVo continued. Furthermore, the WiFi wasn't working again. I signed in but that didn't do anything, and it was too late for tech support to be called. I had an hour and a half before bedtime and I had missed "The Flash" the previous night when I spent too much time reading newspapers. I concluded the problems could be solved by plugging a cable into the newest TiVo. One of the cables wasn't long enough. I tried the other one but couldn't sign into WiFi on the other TiVo to make sure that would work. And I still got the message about the newest TiVo when I was disconnected from the Internet! By then it was too late to watch anything an hour long. I started to buy a cable but it would have meant driving farther than I wanted to, so I decided to wait until next week. But calling tech support seemed to make clear that the problem wasn't the Wi-Fi, and the Wi-Fi wasn't working.
While I was watching "The Flash" the overhead light bulb was flickering. When it finally went out, I understood. A lamp my father used in the same room after attaching it to the wall had a new bulb in it because I had to put it somewhere.
The time change has been a nightmare. Not only am I having a hard time getting awake in the morning, but when I changed the time on my watch, I didn't get the part pushed back in, so ours later it was still at the same time as when I changed it. I changed it again and it still stopped after a short time. And I did it again. And again. I thought I'd have to buy a new watch. I need a new band, so it's a waste to buy that if the watch isn't working. But it finally is.
More on the Food Thread.
I'm sure I've had computer problems. I got through half the virus scan, and I got a message to close for an update (can't do that since the scan won't restart) and a message to restart for updates (same).
The radio station at the beach wasn't working today but I didn't need the distraction. The one in Wisconsin quit for no reason toward the end of the day. And there was an EAS test one day which means I have to start over. And I don't like hearing how cold it is!

The routers that had been missing, finally turned up! The rental office called us yesterday saying they had two packages addressed in my dad's name. One was partially opened but I could tell it was the routers, my printer decided to be a butt and not let me print out the return label for it, fortunately there was still one in the boxes so after we got our bus tickets from Greyhound so I mailed those off back to Verizon.
We probably won't get any credit for it and the operator actually suggested selling them, good idea but the thing is we don't have time to sell them since we are literally leaving on Tuesday to go to Tenneesee.
Some of our layovers are incredibly long, one is literally 7 hours long! What!? Oh well.

I can't remember if I've heard a mouse during the day, but twice I have heard it going under my mattress and elsewhere in my bedroom.
I tried using the web site to move shows from one TiVo to another. The shows couldn't be moved from the newest TiVo, so if I moved them there already, that's also where I have to watch them. They'll investigate the problem. It's not that much harder to watch shows, but when I get through the procedure is different.
After I made an earlier call to tech support, when I got through the phone was beeping. I was in another room and forgot when it stopped beeping. So I may not have gotten a phone message and I showed up at church. No one was there!
I had the computer almost freeze today and I did lose some information. I had to restart over the weekend but at least I was nearly through when I got the message to do it. Even turning on the computer took a while because of other updates.
I saw Roy but a tractor on my road caused interference with the story of a man who uses horses to plow.
Nothing more from The Charlotte Observer. They should be ashamed to claim they'll do all they can to help people.

Our home phone is acting up on the outside so they're sending someone to repair it hopefully while we're gone.
We'll follow-up on the day after while we're in Tennessee.

I just received a spam call stating my social security number had been suspended. I disconnected the call and blocked the number. We had been warned about people doing that.

I should be sleeping but it's much too noisy with various people coughing, bright lights outside my window and the rumblings of the bus. Also the emergency exit bar for the window beside of me is loose or something since it rumbles and it seems to be muffled when I prop my right shoulder against it.
Ouch!
Also I'm hoping there's no problems coming back to Maryland next week. They're doing a lot of restrictions on public transportation but I still need public transportation to help me get the final part of my journey home. I can take a cab if I have to though. We shall see what happens.

Heard mouse noises at least twice in my bedroom, including at night and this morning before I was even out of bed.
Lost Roy but I'm getting ready to delete some shows. What may have happened is Roy was taped but I didn't see it in time before "Modern Family".
I've had several computer incidents this week but CTRL-ALT-DEL worked. Virus scan worked.
The part in my BRAND NEW refrigerator that makes sure the door is closed fell off. It's the size of the door and made of rubber or something like it. It stays in place when the door is closed and if I'm careful, it won't fall while the door is open.
More on the Food Thread.

The mouse seems quite comfortable here and I don't know what to do with it. If I buy poison it might die in the wrong place.
Several incidents with the computer including having to plug the monitor back in.
The refrigerator door won't close. I can see the light pretty much all the time, even after I pushed it closed, and it runs a lot. My milk wasn't cold one time. I have a brand new milk to open soon and I hope it'll stay good.
Saw Roy today.
My new electric razor does have removable parts. I had a hard time cleaning it and lost one of the parts that does the cutting. I checked the older one and the same part from that works.
However, I keep dropping electric razors on the floor. I used the oldest one, the really good one. I can't get to it because the box of hazardous waste is in the way. Assuming no changes, on April 5 we can take our toilet cleaners (I have two bottles that are 20 years old that I just found last year) and drain cleaners and other stuff like that.
Also see the Food Thread.

Greyhound was supposed to contact me with any changes to my tickets and yet they didn't.
I understand that things are serious about this corona virus but if you have people returning home for essential travel then you should keep them informed.
I had to book a third set which should hopefully get me back around 5:30ish in the evening but we have almost a 7 hour layover in Baltimore.
What!? They never did explain why the delays.

IF YOU HAVE A OPTION (not forced to work) STAY HOME. People are not listening, even our own moronic president who thinks this will be over shortly, so “businesses can resume”. If people would just stay their donkeys inside this virus will stop spreading and we can all resume a normal life, without HAVING TO WORRY IF OUR LOVED ONES WILL BE EXPOSED.

Vent #1 Had to lug our heavy suitcases, a duffle bag and a small suitcase up over 5 flights of stairs. There was literally an able bodied man outside plus our Uber driver but not one helped me! What the heck guys? You can run your mouths and reconnect but you can't help me?! Good grief!
Vent #2 my cellphone needed charging so I left it charging overnight. I turn on my phone and saw I had a text message.
At first I thought it was one of my aunts since I had been texting them on our way back.
Nope! It was some number I didn't recognize with some inappropriate pictures of this random dude's privates and he referred to me as Aya and other b.s.
What the hell?!
I immediately deleted those nasty things from my phone. Ugh!

I saw the mouse again.
The electric razor part that does the cutting on the newest one fell and I couldn't find it so I took another one from the older one.
Saw Roy Wednesday because the morning newscast recorded. The afternoon one was some COVID-19 information.
I need to buy a watch or at least a watchband but that doesn't seem likely anytime soon.
Virus scan was at 72 percent so I had to pause. But when the McAfee logo turned orange I checked. no wonder my computer was so slow! It was finished. But it said I had paused it …
It's a good thing it finished. I almost had to turn off the computer but CTRL-ALT-DEL gave me an error message. Then other weird stuff was happening. But even though I tried to restart the Internet and was told I was not in the right state (where do I need to be? Georgia?) everything cleared up without turning it off.

I saw the mouse several times. I moved that trap where it goes! Why is it not going that way? Or is the trap just not working?
I've had several incidents where CTRL-ALT-DEL was necessary, and one was of course a former Berkshire Hathaway newspaper.
I probably wouldn't have been able to see Roy on Monday with virus-related press conferences.
The electric razor was making funny noises. Maybe the part I took from the other one doesn't fit as well as I thought.
Also see the Food Thread.
I know I'm leaving something out.

I heard mouse noises this morning, and I saw the mouse again earlier in the week. It does EXACTLY the same thing.
I also saw the mouse coming out of the bathroom next to where I watch TV. I tried to trap it in there but it didn't spend enough time there.
Twice today I had to use CTRL-ALT-DEL. Once I gave up waiting for it to work (on a former Berkshire Hathaway paper) nd when I turned the computer on, it never di advance beyond "welcome". I tried CTRL-ALT-DEL and that worked. And was it a coincidence that my Wisconsin radio station quit working? I hope not. Rather than restart it on the TiVo, I started listening on the desktop and that hasn't caused problems. At least the virus scan finished.
I no longer feel like I'm waking up in the dark. This is the old weekend for the time change.
I saw Roy after he recorded twice. Forgot to check on Monday's.
I was so relieved I finally learned to close my refrigerator door enough that the light wouldn't come on. Until I realized the light had burned out from being used too much. At least everything is cold.
My bathroom sink isn't draining fast enough. I need to used store brand Liquid Plumr. Someone already came but he wouldn't admit there was a problem and he blamed the way the pipes were installed. When he worked on it he said it did fine for him so I gave it a chance. If he'd come back and not charge me, I'd let him. I'll just use the stuff I have. And I can't dump it this week. That was postponed.
I dumped the wastebasket under the sink and the reason it was so heavy is it was full of water. I moved the wastebasket so that wouldn't happen. My hands drip when I finish washing them.

In a situation like that, I have always told people they need to move/make space, and they always do.
