I got my TV section last week.

Trash got dumped. Recycling got water in it.

When a refill container for my soap pumps is almost empty, I pour the rest in an old pump. But I lost the pump part.

The mouse came back last night. And it reacts to the slightest movement. It even reacts before I move.

I replaced the pump with one from another pump which I turned upside down.

The newspaper's eEdition got harder to use. Furthermore, I was told to sign in and then sent to a page that gave me an error message. I don't know how I finally got in. However, it's easier now to find older newspapers and to find Parade even if Saturday's paper requires an extra step.

First Roy did fine. I was still on the computer when he was online so I saw him (Chad) there.

No mouse or evidence. No glue traps either. And I didn't go to Lowe's because I was getting my vaccine. Except I wasn't. The sign on the door said they were out and I'm trying to get them all the same place.

TV section came.

I spilled soap in the bathtub when I accidentally knocked over the pump, but it wasn't much and I used it.

Oops. It wasn't Roy. I found this out when I was deleting some recordings. No, there was baseball on Monday.

Mouse came back.

I bit the inside of my mouth several times but somehow it healed just fine.

My Internet has been going out all afternoon and my online radio station has been going out more than that, and it's hard to restart when it does. It's never for more than a few seconds that I don't have the Internet, but it's annoying when it happens so much.

Internet has gone out a couple of times over the past several days but never for more than a few seconds.

Everything is an hour late on the British online radio station until next week. That gave me an hour less to watch TV yesterday but I started an hour late after going to a different church. I am miserable first thing in the morning but I will hate having it get dark so early. At least I don't drive after dark now.

Found the soap pump. I have too many cleaning towels to use in the bathroom.

Mouse came back and won't do anything that gives me a chance of getting it.

First Roy did fine. It was so windy on Wednesday the afternoon broadcast had problems and the morning broadcast was worse. I waited until the newscast was online and watched it there.

Mouse came back. Furthermore, I found evidence on the stove, so apparently (unless it's actually something else) I'm still having to put my cooking pot in the oven to protect it. I was wondering if I was being overly cautious.

A brand new shirt I never wore has a hole.

I stepped in something the first time I wore an old pair of shoes on Saturday so it's already on the back porch. No real reason Saturday is special, though. I've been wearing older shoes then.

I saw the mouse in the same room where I usually do, and earlier I heard noises in the room where the computer is.

I had so much more time to get ready yesterday, but I still look like I need to shave after shaving. I have adjusted to the time change already and don't have more time to do what I need to do. My newest TiVo is consistently at 100 percent which means I have to watch more shows and watch the list of deleted shows top make sure there are still shows to be replaced. My oldest working TiVo has the same problem but it has less space. The good news is that's mostly "Jeopardy" episodes where I'm just watching commercials on the other station and if I do that fast I can delete a lot.

I knew I forgot something. My computer got unplugged three times over the weekend because I pushed it back on what it was sitting on so it wouldn't fall off. Plus my Internet went out a few times. It wasn't that when the Florida radio station went off. That station stays on for an hour and a half. I don't know what is meant my "inactivity".

I stopped at the oil change place but they wouldn't put my information in the system unless I got an oil change. I just got the car and they changed the oil already. The other car's information is in the system but they need to add my newer car. However, there is a problem with a tire and I may not be able to drive that car to see my cousin. I'd rather get the car fixed when I go somewhere and can walk while they're doing it.

My computer got unplugged again but I needed to close the private window for a web site that limits how many comic strips I can see. I didn't remember to check to make sure there had been a scan.

The Florida radio station went out completely. The British station was doing something different from what I like but not too bad. The Florida station is back today.

I got a haircut for the third time since I was told a man will cut down my tree for $300. I found someone's name in a "best of" list and the phone number looked familiar but I called and no one called back.

Dial soap at the dollar store no longer comes in a pack of two. I may be better off going to the store where I get points and using a coupon.

The grocery store where I don't get points has two store brands. I bought the cheap paper towels because the rolls are small enough I can put them on the holder that is not as good. However, they are not identified as choose a size even though they are not square. I'm sure they were. Now I'm stuck using them for quite a long time.

My kitchen was nice and warm. Near the light bulb, I could understand because I used an old one. I didn't know why it was still warm near the oven until I could see light coming from inside the oven--seven hours after I ate lunch! I had put a cooking pot and a plate inside to protect them from mice, which I haven't seen. What a mess, but I think both are clean now. The pot just had hot dog water but apparently that can burn. Don't know what was on the plate but I guess it was slaw. The red light should come on even when the oven is not warming up because I can't tell the oven is still on.

My computer got unplugged several more time and once I had a hard time plugging it back in. The scan now happens an hour earlier and I still don't know for sure it happened.

I worked hard to shave and had to deal with the one which works better but doesn't have its fidget spinner, so eventually it gets too frustrating to keep putting the cutting parts back in place. The more expensive one doesn't do a good job and needed recharging.

Mouse came back, first in the room with the computer, then in the room where I watch TV.

First Roy did fine on the other TiVo but the signal was bad on the one that has been recording it fine. Another TiVo I can't get to work. I listen to Christmas music while decorating my tree (AVP will know how to see it) but no matter what I did with two different remotes, all I ever saw was the main menu. This is a problem since there are other shows. If that's not bad enough, I recorded the music on a VHS tape and that got stuck in the machine. Which causes the TV to turn off so even if I can get the TiVo to work, it needs a TV. I'll have to move another TV or the TiVo, unless I can figure out how to get the tape out. I did successfully save and play the Christmas music on my computer but I got an error message when I tried, and I can't transfer the music (or any shows) because the WiFi needs a password, which can't be entered until I get the TiVo to work. There is no way to connect the TiVo to the Internet any other way.

I smelled something burning on Monday and assumed it was outside. But it wasn't quite the same smell as a fireplace or leaves. It was stronger in my bathroom. The hot water doesn't work. I went to Lowe's and they promised to send someone, but I said don't call until today, and the man couldn't get my email to work. I did get an email and responded, but I got a call and had to tell them no, I wouldn't be at home. In both cases I was given a number which might be long distance. I did get a call today and she asked me for information about the water heater. Well, I don't know how to get that. I was told the person would measure and tell me what I need if I get a new one. Can I take a photo? What do YOU think? I'm still waiting on a call, not the person.

My newer car doesn't have a light that comes on so I can see the speedometer. I haven't asked about the tire but when I do, I'll ask about that. But I don't normally drive at night.

I was on hold for an hour after I didn't get a call back and decided to call an 800 number. And this person said I had to start completely over. And then she wouldn't tell me I would get a call back or anything for several days. That means no hot water all weekend. And I looked at the water heater and there's no clue without measuring it. I am tempted to suggest bringing the one I saw that was the narrowest, because it has to be narrow to fit. What else could they do if it wasn't narrow enough, if I've seen all of what they have? I was switched to another person but told she was at the store. No, I heard a baby. and she couldn't understand me and when I tried to talk louder she acted like I was disrespecting her. I couldn't spell my name in a way that made her understand. One of these days I'm going to try to find a new phone but I couldn't find one last time I tried. The phone company only cares about providing me with a line. I have to supply the equipment. But I'll ask.

Not sure about the mouse. I may have seen it.

Both Roys were online.

I couldn't get my newer electric shaver to start after I plugged it in. The other one will run if it's being charged. Eventually, it was charged enough that it ran, but I was worried it had quit working. I still bought a new one but haven't used it. The one missing a fidget spinner does a better job. I though I would have my picture taken.

No mouse, computer stayed plugged in, not sure about the scan.

No hot water. I went to a different store after talking to a manager, who I told I would give the job to whoever responded first. Well, so far nothing from anyone, and today does not count as a holiday. Still, the man at the second store knew what he was doing, which was more than I could say for the people at the first store. I'm calling both stores in just a minute.

I never called the first store. The second store came through for me. I had to call them, but they put me right in touch with the person who could get someone who could come to my house. On a Saturday! And he got there at the earliest time suggested. But I was right. The old water heater was not as wide as the ones in the store. And the man looked and couldn't find any that were that narrow. If I bought what they had, the door and frame would have to be removed and unlike the last time this was done, those would not be put back. Outside was another option, but more expensive. I could buy a water heater and they could put it in (and the first store had one narrow enough. Well, equal to the old one, but still one inch too side for the door opening. I saw it.) and if it didn't work I was responsible for dealing with the store and getting another one. If it did work, it would still take who knows how long. One final option (but I don't know if it was cheaper) would at least mean the old one wouldn't have to be taken out (just drained) and the new one wouldn't have to be put in that space it wouldn't fit in. No one suggested this when the old one was put in. There is space in the kitchen! However, the total cost is $3000. That's with a discount. The man mentioned my ramp which affected the options outside. The first store sold their cheapest units for $500. How does installation cost that much more?

I called the first store hoping to get answers. I got hung up on for being "belligerent". I don't know why I worded my responses to her questions the way I did, seeing as how I couldn't cancel my first purchase. I have a copy of a contract I signed. I called the 800 number and was told I could get a call back. I did (and my computer came unplugged when I tried to move my phone where I could sit down). It was a much better experience and I explained everything. They were going to contact the store, and while they switched me to installation, something happened and I got hung up on. I did get an email from someone who wanted to install my water heater from the first store. Guess what the response was? I did ask how to find out how to determine whether I would have done better with them financially, had the first store done better.

Oh, and I was on hold for an hour with someone else who sent me an email asking me to use their web site. I said it was too difficult and the way to get mail always was to delete the account. She did. I couldn't sign in because it refused to accept the easy to remember password and I didn't know what I would have to do to get it accepted.

Somehow I got up early enough on Sunday that I was able to shave (no picture, but maybe next week). It seems to be because I've been feeling miserable. It could be a cold. Or it could be something else.

Computer came unplugged twice. One of those times it fell on the floor but if I had been more careful picking it up and putting it back, that wouldn't have happened. Why did it fall? I was moving the phone back. It never fell before but I needed to push it away from the edge, and every time I do that, it seems to come unplugged.

No mouse but I've heard noises that could be the mouse. Some in the room with the computer and some in the room where I watch TV.

I saw Roy online one day but it recorded fine the other day.

Computer came unplugged twice, or maybe more, this week. One of the times was when I came back to it after answering the phone because the man installing my water heater was calling to say he was coming in an hour and a half. There were three or four men and the job was finished after about three hours. I haven't checked with the store I asked first to find out if they would have charged less, but they sure are going to know how unsatisfactory their efforts were, especially if I find out I could have done it cheaper.

I heard noises in my bedroom and some of them were noises only a mouse would make.

I didn't sleep well this week because that cold got even worse. The solution is never to get in bed. I felt better only while up and moving around. I probably shouldn't have gone anywhere this week but I think it helped.

I got my TV section.

Computer did not come unplugged over the weekend.

I have hot water for the first time in three weeks but I decided to go ahead and use a different bank account to pay. After giving the transaction enough time to appear, or so I thought, I heard my available credit was less than the amount I was paying. I needed to talk to someone, so after some effort, I got through to the right person. She said she could see the transaction had happened, and my available credit reflected the transaction that had already happened, but my balance did not, yet. I was going to redeem my Thank You points based on that new balance, because I will have a lot of them. So far I have one Target gift card on the way. I will get more. What I want to use them for is pajamas, since the last electric shaver I got which was more expensive doesn't work as well as the one that was cheaper, unless the store has the cheaper one again. The other stores don't seem to have the pajamas I like, though they're more expensive at Target. But if I can't get the cleaners to repair the torn ones, this is the only option. No more Lowe's.

The cold isn't really getting better. I'm not having as difficult a time at night but I'm not really sleeping better, and yesterday the only reason I went to church at all was the meal. Well, that and the people who wanted me to wear my purple shoes. I had my picture taken for the church directory too, but I made sure I looked good for a group picture I heard mentioned, or at least one of the pictures of Purple Day. Still, I was feeling better more slowly than I expected.

One email service I use had three messages from the email service saying update. When I tried I got sent to a web site that turned the screen red. I forwarded the three emails and was told specifically what to with those.

Light bulb went out in the kitchen and I had to find the new one by turning on the bathroom light. No more incandescent bulbs since I leave that light on all night and on Sunday all day too.

I ran out of the choose a size paper towels. After replacing them, I'm not sure the new ones are Bounty quality. If I'm dealing with choose a size, they had better be.

Water heater passed inspection.

Someone at the phone company said Walmart sells phones. Of course they do. I get told to go there for everything.

No mouse or noises or evidence, unless I did not imagine a shape quietly dashing out of the room where I was watching TV.

I had to replace a watch battery. I was afraid because the watch was cheap it just quit.

I got more Shell gift cards ordered.

My cold gets better during the day but I still have problems at night or whenever I go out in the cold air.

A small mouse was constantly running around last night. The good news is if I can find a glue trap, small mice can't escape.

My cold came back over the weekend but I felt better later in the day both days.

I saw the first Roy online.

I had to stop at the store that did not sell me a water heater since I have to print later this week and that's very time-consuming. I didn't actually have time to do it, as it turned out, because I was very late leaving for home. But it was about time I described what happened and got some answers. I didn't get any answers, since there was no record of most of what I said, but maybe more investigation will determine exactly what happened. I was told it was unlikely I would find out how much it would have cost me to get a water heater from that chain. Someone would have to come to my house and then give me a quote, which of course no one is going to do. I used the rest of my gift card on a glue trap. Well, almost. I have a few cents left. It seems pointless but I'm not going to get another gift card. I forgot to drive past the BP on the way out. And the glue trap looked like it was made from slime from Nickelodeon. It was hard to get out of the box and the mouse ran right across it. I forgot to mention I caught the mouse in a shoebox and it jumped out before I could close the top, though it was small enough it could have gone through the holes, which I don't see the purpose of. I haven't checked to see if the mouse got caught during the night.

I replaced the paper towels which were the wrong size and the Bounty Essentials are square. I hope I can get more.

My new trash container came. I put my trash in the recycling container and once the new container came, I put it there.

We had to cancel our Christmas plans due to my father-in-law's recent health crisis so we are hoping he can start to recover soon so we can have a sense of normalcy soon.

I saw Roy online last night. Eventually I will have to see the Christmas special but it's probably just stories I've seen. I wasn't aware of the special until I watched the Monday story online.

Although I caught and disposed of the small mouse, I saw the larger mouse a few minutes after the discovery, and again one night. I heard noises on several occasions. And I found evidence!

I can't get the toilet cleaner open. Unlike the brand name, it doesn't have directions. I have to remember to look at a bottle of the brand name when I go to the store.

Computer fell but didn't come unplugged.

If it doesn't fit, you must acquit! And I tried looking for other gloves at another store in the same chain, but there weren't any. I was told about a combination Dollar Tree and Family Dollar, but that's just a Family Dollar with a few $1.25 items. I refuse to go there because only a real Dollar Tree has the variety.

Also, when I got six Christmas cards, there were only five. Was the one showing what the card looked like supposed to be one of the six? I tried Dollar Tree and some individual cards were on sale for less than a dollar. With no envelope, and when I used the envelope in the other package, the card didn't fit without being folded. I could have delivered that one in person without an envelope. I only used postage for three and was able to deliver the others in person. I remember when KMart had thirty or fifty or whatever it was for a reasonable price. But I quit sending lots of cards years ago.

No Roy Wednesday.

I saw the mouse in the room where I watch TV and this morning it was in the kitchen. The noise I thought I heard was not bags settling.

I had to watch the 100th anniversary of Disney on the computer. It was new and I missed it because it was listed as "to be announced" and I dismissed that as nothing to be concerned about, until I saw a commercial two days later while watching something I recorded. On the other hand, I had so much to record that night I might have lost something, if I haven't anyway.

I saw the label on the gloves I bought. They were women's, but they still shouldn't have shrunk so much. Furthermore, they are "magic" and can be converted to fingerless. Which I don't want.

I saw the directions on Lysol toilet cleaner. I looked closely and yes, the store brand has them. They just aren't labeled "directions" but you have to read every word of the tiny print.

No libraries open next week. I thought one that I have to drive a long distance to would be, but I gave them the wrong date when I asked.

Paper towels fell in the sink but the ones I use for the sink need to be standing up. I just got out a new roll, though now I'll need one more of those.

I heard a noise in the kitchen and went to check. Actually, it wasn't doing anything that would have made noise, so I'm not certain there isn't another one, but I haven't seen or heard anything since I disposed of that one.

The directions didn't help much but I finally got the toilet cleaner open.

I could have gone to one library on Wednesday but it seems pointless when my cousin can't meet me there. So I'll wait, and I'll wash dishes Wednesday, Sunday and next Thursday. Not washing dishes next Monday will work better because I'll be watching the parade.

Internet went out four times in 30 minutes yesterday as I was trying to listen to a radio show, though the show ended early and the last outage was before the 30 minutes were up. I don't know if this means anything but I was reading the second to last Parade and that requires keeping the ad blocker on.

Football, no Roy Monday.

No mouse but I'm wondering what I found on the stove. Hopefully it fell off something I washed. Because my cousin can't meet today (though the weather made that unlikely anyway) I'm at home for the third day and doing this while I have time.

No Internet problems (well, maybe once or twice) but I had to find a new place for Christmas music. I found it, and songs are mostly good but the same commercial keeps getting repeated. However, only a few of the versions are familiar and I heard some really bad ones.

A few Internet problems and my music went out on several occasions but nothing serious. However, ever since I updated my phone company password my computer keeps telling me my settings are out of date, and nothing I do fixes that, and I don't get new emails on my computer. I have to go to the web site. And unless something changes, the software that lets me get notifications and see emails on the computer will no longer work and I will have to change to new software. I can do that right now but I tried the new software and I don't like it. And I don't see a way to add other email addresses.

I keep hearing noises and this morning I did observe a mouse going under the sink. The door doesn't close all the way without effort and it might pop open, letting the mouse out. If it does, I'll put out a glue trap and hope for the best.

I used my new electric shaver when both needed recharging at once. I had recharged one but it wouldn't come on. So I did it again. That expensive shaver is a piece of junk and the new cheap one works very well.

I stepped on the part that my second phone plugs into. The wire that comes from the wall is too short so I have to use another one and they both have to plug into something. I put the part on top of a box and knocked the box over while vacuuming. I discovered that part got stepped on again so I moved it again. It has gotten hard to plug the wire into the part.

No TV section. It did come on Sunday two weeks ago but not yesterday. I haven't checked today but I'll have to call if it doesn't come. It was online the last time it didn't come at all, so that's just an inconvenience.

See the Food Thread. The only other evidence of the mouse was noises I heard in the kitchen and one time I may have seen a shape rush past toward the refrigerator.

I gave up on the TV section and read it online, since I can. I should call and tell them.

I got a response to my question about email. The person claimed I couldn't do anything because the software had been replaced with the new software and I would have to upgrade. I haven't seen how to use it with the phone company email. So I called the phone company to ask how. I was told to sign out. Amazingly, I have stayed signed in. When I tried to sign in again, the password my computer saved wouldn't work. So I had to change my password again, except I don't think I did. It didn't tell me I was using the same password I had just changed it to. Once I did it, everything started working normally again and I was getting notifications, such as my cousin saying he can meet tomorrow. As for the new software, the person from the phone company claimed I would have to wait or restart the computer. Nothing I can see indicates there is any way to add email addresses, and when I was referred to an explanation of the new software, nothing but praise for how good it was. No directions for how to use it. So I won't.

I don't know if I'm scanning. It won't let me do it manually.

I saw both Roys. I think the first one recorded because I don't recall waiting long enough to see it online. The second Roy, which featured Roy and all the other Roy's Folks we lost in 2023, I did see online.

Also, my newest TiVo decided to quit working before the first of two "Magnum" episodes. I don't understand what causes this. It usually happens right after I disconnect it from the Internet. Sometimes I wait too long to reconnect it but the alternative is buying a second cable for an older TiVo to get program information.

It was too late to record the first episode but there was a second one which, when I tried to record, gave me "Your request cannot be processed". Correcting that requires restarting. Getting it to record shows it was supposed to anyway requires connecting to TiVo.

TiVo messed up again last night. I tried to delete a show and it quit doing anything and I had to unplug it. I had to watch two shows I was recording live until the problem was resolved. By "live" I mean the older machine saved 30 minutes of each show (I was lucky it did that for both when it could have been any show, and because it has an antenna) and I backed up to approximately where the problem began.

Forgot to call the TV section people. Maybe next time.

Bottom fell out of a can of Comet. So hard to get it all cleaned up but if any is left on the floor, I can at least try to clean the floor with it. At least it wasn't a carpet.

I found some missing socks when I was looking for undershirts that got hidden under clean clothes I just piled on top of other clean clothes. Also washcloths. Still didn't find undershirts.

I found a missing shoe while looking for something to put on sore places on my hand. I have something but I was going to use the old tube. Can't find it.

Mouse was in the kitchen this morning. It headed for the back door but hesitated. I made it leave and closed the door. Now this doesn't normally work. Last time I let a mouse live it just found its way back inside. Earlier I've seen something small moving fast across the kitchen but I'm not sure it was real. I see floaters.
