Having a few job hiccups in setting up meetings for my consumer and his mother isn't helping the situation either. Oy!

See the Weather Thread and the Food Thread.
Mouse was out and about so I put out a trap. GOT IM! I put it in the trash but heard it moving around so I put the trash outside. Another mouse dashed out the back door a few minutes later so I hope it didn't get out, but I think that's unlikely. It has to be a different mouse. Trap is out, ready. But it's my last one.
No confirmation the scan happened.
My computer fell when I was trying to get to the phone, but the power was already off anyway. The oldest TiVo did come on afterward so I can move it without wondering if it will.
Emails I am sending myself don't go through. I just don't want to carry around a flash drive when I go to various libraries. The problem cleared up with one but now the one I have been using about 20 years is rejecting emails from the one I've used longer.
More washcloths.
TV section didn't come. Hopefully by Sunday. I'll call.
Roy did fine first time. I saw him online Wednesday.

No mouse or evidence. Trap still set.
See the Weather Thread and the Food Thread.
I have a mouth sore which I've tried several methods to make better. If it doesn't improve one drug store used to sell "bandages". Thye stick eventually after being pressed on the sore.
No TV section. I forgot to call.
"Jeopardy" rerun didn't record. If in fact the episode aired the day after the one from the day before. I forgot to connect the TiVo to the Internet to get program information.

So I did our laundry yesterday but the door on the dryer flew open and the clothes went flying out and despite multiple attempts to dry the laundry it still didn't fully dry so now these items are drying in our bathroom so they can dry better.

I had a difficult time getting the problem with my flashlight solved. I meant to post on the Bunny thread but I don't know how to find it. Actually, the Bunny will just tell me I should have gotten an Energizer product, so here goes. Last week I meant to post on the Bunny thread and forgot. I called the 800 number on the Duracell flashlight. It didn't work. I had to go to the a store and look at the 800 number on the batteries. I couldn't read it so I had to ask someone to write it down. I called and felt good that I could press 1 if my problem was with a flashlight. I was told to press 1 again for a more specific problem I had. Everything was going well until I was told to press 0 for an operator after that other options didn't fit my situation. I was told this was the number for batteries and I'd have to be switched to someone else. That person hardly spoke English and kept asking how many lumens. My flashlight didn't say. I gave her the UPC code and she said she couldn't use it. At some point she said something about buying the flashlight at Costco. I've never even been to Costco. It took me several times to convince her I hadn't bought the flashlight there. Eventually I was asked to take a picture and send it. Nope. That's too complicated for me. Then I was told to go back to the store. I called the 800 number again and was again told I had to talk to someone else about flashlights. I said that person couldn't help me. I explained that AA batteries worked but not D batteries. She wanted to know who made a product that would let me use AA batteries in a flashlight that took D batteries. I said it came with the flashlight. She had never heard of such a thing. I tried giving her the UPC code and was told that's for the store to use for prices. For every 800 number I've called in recent years, that's the first thing they've asked me. She said she was going to switch me to the other person. I said that wasn't going to happen. She did it anyway. I was told to leave a message. That's certainly going to work. I also told these people that if this is what the company was like, I won't be buying any more Duracell products. Well, well. I've posted about this flashlight before. And I couldn't figure out how to change the AA batteries.

This thread has proved to be a valuable resource. The homeowner's insurance company that will supposedly take over needed to know when my roof and heat were installed. Don't know what I did with the paperwork but I have this thread!
No mouse or evidence though I may have heard a noise in my bedroom. I did, however, step in the glue trap and need to clean off those shoes. I did manage to get the shoes not to stick to anything as long as whatever is stuck to the shoes is still stuck.
Mouth sore still bothers me but not as much as it did. The treatment I used to use wasn't at the drug store but what was there was expensive. Mouthwash may be helping.
I called about the TV section and they promised to email me one. Didn't get it. But they couldn't understand when I told them my email address. I can get to the TV section from the web site but I haven't had time. I just want to read articles. My TiVo has the listings and one newspaper I see on the computer has them too.
Both Roys recorded.
I've recorded way more than I expected so it's a good thing I deleted a bunch of shows. But it may not have been enough. Anyway, to do that required watching more than I usually do. This meant getting off the computer early and even before the scan is supposed to happen. Plus I've been watching episodes on the computer, because if they are repeated something might cause me to miss them. Reruns don't get recorded unless I ask for them to be.
One of the shows I lost when the power was out is only available on Hulu so I'm hoping for a good deal. But there's cursing!

No mouse or evidence but I heard a noise in the kitchen. But I stepped on the trap again and have another shoe with paper on the bottom.
Mouth sore finally seems to be better but now it's my left big toenail that hurts. I cut it but that causes the base to hurt.

GOT IM! I heard a noise in the kitchen that was so loud I had to investigate. Mouse was stuck to the trap so I took it out to the trash.
Both Roys recorded. I tried to watch online but I remembered too late.
No evidence of a scan and I'm just not going to deal with it. I have other stuff to do that takes time.
Mouth sore is gone. The toenail has given me a lot of trouble this week because I can't cut it in such a way that what is left doesn't bother me if my shoe is too tight.
I've been itching all week. I don't know whether the problem is a new detergent, but I also put antibiotic spray on several places that hurt and took cold medicine. I would understand if it had been allergy medicine. The problem goes away if I wear something not washed recently.
No TV section again. I didn't wait to see if I got it on Sunday. But I reported an error when I went online and saw the second one I missed. I never got that one in an email because the person I talked to on the phone didn't understand my email address.

No TV section again. I didn't check to see if it came today but it usually comes on Sunday if it's late. That's three times in a row. I contacted them the same way I did for a mistake in the listings.
I got two Comet coupons. I said I didn't want to deal with whatever was sent in an email. But then I went ahead and did it and it was a simple matter to print. Just cost me 10 cents. I thought it would end up requiring use of a phone.
I got my oldest TiVo moved but haven't tried plugging it in yet. I don't see a place to plug it in, and I want a way to turn it off when not using it, since it's connected to the same TV as a newer one and I don't want to cause any problems with the one I'm not using.
My toenail is still bothering me. The mouth sore seemed to be coming back too. But it didn't. I took allergy medicine and I'm not itching as much, but it made me miserable. At least I finished the detergent if that was the problem.

Both Roys recorded.
I lost a filling but the dentist was able to fix it right away when I went to see him. Temporarily. Don't know if the tooth will have to come out.
I took the tree down and now I can move my old computer chair, meaning I can get an old power strip and hopefully find a way to plug in the oldest TiVo. Now will it work?
I used the Comet coupons.
Haven't looked at the TV section online and while I was promised a copy would be sent by email, I haven't gotten it. I did report it and they'll investigate.
I saw yet another of the TV episodes I missed when my power was out.
I waited to long to delete episodes I didn't want last night and when I deleted one by mistake, I had to see the list of deleted shows. There were so few that I must have lost something, but so far I haven't figured out what it might be.
Toenail still bothers me, but I haven't been itching.

$400 for a year's subscription to the newspaper! That doesn't even include the TV section but I've asked two different people to investigate. I haven't checked to see if it came.
Power strip has been moved but it took some effort with all the tangled wires. Most of which don't connect to anything. But now the TiVo doesn't work. I can only hope the other end of the cord is just unplugged, but I wasn't in the mood to remove the newer TiVo sitting on top. I plugged the TiVo into the power strip that was already there and that didn't work. I assume what I unplugged from the newer power strip is the charger for my phone.
Toenail still bothers me but I cut it again and also put a band aid where my shoe has been rubbing.
One Roy recorded fine and the other I saw online.
I was on hold for an hour with the people who have most of my money because I wanted to get the paperwork done to move it when I can take it out.
No confirmation of a scan. I did solve a problem with sending emails. Now I just hope no Windows update cancels that out. If I click on an address, my computer is supposed to give me a choice of addresses to send from and when I select, an email is ready to write and send. Instead, it was giving me a list of Hotmail emails.
I haven't seen "Whose Line" from when my power went out even though the listings said I did (another episode aired twice). And "Only Murders" is not on ABC's site for free. Other than that, I've seen all the TV episodes I need to online. But I keep recording new episodes and having to delete old programs such as movies I probably saw.

Well, the response I got to my complaints about the cost of my newspaper weren't what I expected. The person confirmed cancellation of my subscription. They just don't care. The good news is I really do want a real paper so I contacted them again to say I never said I was cancelling. The TV section is another matter and I got a canned response when I reported it, but maybe they actually will investigate.
The oldest TiVo was NOT plugged in. It worked but I didn't test it yet. I'm not sure whether it is connected to a TV and I'll have to move the newer one again if it isn't.
Toenail feels a little better. I replaced the band aid.

That would be funny in a comedy skit, but not in real life. Were you able to diagnose the problem?

New roof and gutters costing $10,000 did not fix the small leak in the ceiling. Roofers said the problem had to come from the chimney. We had a dispute when I reminded them the original request was for them to examine the chimney because a brick had come loose. I showed them the request which had a photo of the loose brick. They finally admitted they do not do chimney work, but they had never said that and had told me I needed a new roof.

I think it had too many clothes in that dryer and it was top heavy but can't be sure, they took awhile to dry but they finally did without much problems.

Both Roys recorded.
No progress in getting the newspaper to listen to me about paying so much. No progress in finding the missing TV section and since I can see it for free without signing in, no point in continuing a subscription.
Computer had to be restarted twice this week. The first time it wouldn't let me do anything until I told it what I wanted related to updates and then it tried to charge me for them. I couldn't get out of that without restarting yet another time. I don't know whether the scan worked but I tried out a new type of scan. I don't know what the results were.
Still need to move a TiVo to make sure the oldest one works. I could try it without moving the newer one but if the oldest one is not plugged in, I have to do it anyway. I'm debating about plugging in a different TV and plugging the TiVo into that. Oh, wait, that's not the end that needs plugging in. I decided I have enough remotes that I can use a different one for each. That's what I was told is the best way to keep one remote from affecting the machine I didn't intend to change anything on.
Toenail is definitely doing better but ... no, I'm not going to say it. But once the problem goes away completely maybe I can wear new socks without worrying about messing them up.
Tooth is still bothering me and I wonder if I already lost the temporary fix.
I went online to see the missing "Whose Line" but it was one I had seen so I don't know what's going on. Maybe I should check on the next one.
I tried to complain about my electric shaver and they insisted I give them a serial number which is unreadable.
I got my paperwork to take my money out and I'll fill it out when I do my taxes now that I have everything for that. I'm taking it all to the library that has tax forms in case I need even more forms.
No mouse or evidence.
I messed up on getting my tree cut down. The man I was going to ask didn't show up on Friday, but I'm not sure he actually promised to when I called him Thursday. So when someone else was cutting down trees across the street, I asked them. They said $800. I said someone else I had asked said $500. They said $500 was as low as they could go, but they couldn't do it that day. Not knowing what the other man might do, I said okay. The other man showed up and said $400. I went to talk to the other men who were still there. They said they couldn't do $400 and asked if he had insurance. I saw the other man leave, and rather than take a chance on him, knowing the others would do it right away, I agreed to $500. I came home to find the tree down, but of course it cost me $100 more than I had planned. I could have gotten it done for $500 much earlier if I hadn't waited for another man who had charged me $200 (for easier trees), and then there was the man who said $300 but I lost his information and he never contacted me again. Now I just have to hope people who need firewood can come and clean up. My neighbor with the cats has quite a mess on his side of the property line but he has said he'd like some of my wood. He wasn't there when any of these people showed up and I wasn't home when the work was done, so I don't know what the man knows.

Tooth still bothers me.
Toenail stills bothers me and my shoe rubs against my foot just below it.
Still waiting on someone to cut up the tree and remove the parts that don't need that much cutting.
I didn't move the TiVo. I just tested the oldest one and even watched some episodes. What a relief. No matter what I did, I couldn't make it work in the other room, which was never a problem before.
Multiple typos in a post from last week.

I saw the other Roy online.
The oldest TiVo gets messed up when I do anything with the newer one but I haven't found out how to stop that. Hopefully I've found all the shows that ended up in the deleted file before I watched them.
Tooth still bothers me but not as much as the one above it. And my dental appointment is the day my cousin wants to visit. He hasn't given me an alternate date but it's hard for us to find a date that works.
I seem to mess up my left shoe every time I wear a pair of shoes I haven't worn since having my toenail problem. I don't know what specifically causes this. The band-aids stick, but that's the one way to protect everything until it heals. If I could put something like a band-aid on top of everything without it sticking, that might work.
My neighbor who has cats suggested the man across the street would use firewood. I asked and he said he'd cu up smaller pieces of wood. However, he didn't get all of what was on the property of the man with the cats. I moved what I could but I need to ask someone this Sunday. There was one man who was able to deal with the largest wood, though his equipment broke and he never finished. Maybe now he can.
My vacuum cleaner quit on me last weekend and the one place I knew I could get it fixed isn't there any more. There was another place but if I visit my cousin that's a long way to have it in the back of the car, and then if it's what I think it is, I'd have to return, and it would be expensive. It's over forty years old and I had to replace the motor twenty years ago after I didn't change a filter. That filter isn't needed. I bought a small vacuum, which I was unable to find some time back. I wanted one for crumbs. Now, it may end up being my vacuum.

New little vacuum cleaner needed recharging. so I didn't do much vacuuming.
I was using a paper towel to clean the toe and realized I could just wrap it. The sticky part of a band-aid itches.
My left ear is still stopped up despite my taking medication.
I did talk to the man who can cut up my tree and the other man has put what he can in a pile and will remove it.

Had a really bad panic PTSD attack on Saturday night, I won't elaborate but it was hard and I just had to pray for me and my husband with tears in my eyes. On Sunday morning after my husband picked me up from church and doing after a few errands I literally broke down in tears and couldn't hardly talk, he just had to hold me in the midst of them.

Left ear stopped up and other symptoms. Rain doesn't seem to help but causes new ones.
Roy recorded fine Monday and I saw it online Wednesday.
Computer restarted and I had trouble getting to my emails. I depend on notifications for the ones that my computer tells me about but I could still go to each service's web site. As long as I get notifications I'm fine. However, I was able to figure out how to get the lists back without the individual web sites.
I was told we might get together for birthdays but it can't happen because of sickness. I don't know who is sick.
I called the company that sends me my TV sections in order to cancel but I was asked to confirm certain details. No, that's not my zip code. You're still sending it to me there? They don't forward any more because too much time has passed. But they won't forward it anyway if it is addressed to my street address. Hopefully this means the end of my problems.
Toenail still bothers me and various shoes rub against the foot.

Even before the time change my watch stopped and I don't know why. That happened with an old watch when I would change the time but mainly if I turned it back. So far the watch is working again.
I only have one soap pump left. I put it on the left side of the sink rather than on the right side where it might fall off and after that, I don't really want to use it again. I'm not saying it went in the worst possible place. just where I'd rather not use it.
Both Roys did fine.
I keep getting messages from my virus protection but they only mean something if I'll pay even more. Scan supposedly worked.
Computer keeps getting turned off or unplugged. I think one of the times it was because I left it on for the scan and it updated. One time it updated and I couldn't get to mail. But I finally noticed a button where I could switch back to the old software. Meanwhile, if I am typing in an edit window and turn something blue, I'm told to rewrite using Copilot.
My left foot is doing somewhat better. Sometimes the nail itself hurts but I'm not sure how to deal with it, since I can't cut it there.
My ear is still stopped up even though I took something in the middle of the week.

My ear is still stopped up and I've been miserable all day from getting up so early. I just woke up yesterday and today without the benefit of the clock radio, which I changed even though I only get up at that time three times a year--the day the time changes, when I go to the mountains, and when I go to the beach. At the beach or in the mountains I also have to get up earlier than usual to get everything done. Also, I didn't get to take medication which I usually do on Saturday night. Technically, I could do that when I had church services at 11 but ever since we started meeting outside during COVID services have been earlier even though we went inside more than a year ago. And our first time not having a service at all was four years ago this week.
Computer keeps getting unplugged.
My left foot (need to correct the post above) is doing somewhat better but I am running out of nice shoes that are size ten. Because of the problem with the toenail, I shouldn't wear a nice shoe on my left foot but I don't have enough size ten shoes that aren't nice.
My cable went out over the weekend and I can't understand why. The man came today and pressed a button on the remote and all the channels came back. He didn't say what he did outside before he came in, but he must have done something. I did discover one channel working, and some channels had a picture that looked like modern art and some kind of sound.
Regardless, I had to use an antenna to record the Oscars, and I noticed "Abbott Elementary" came on after that. To make sure I got the entire show (when have the Oscars ever not run long?) required recording Dr. David Jeremiah (no 11:00 news on the ABC affiliate I can actually pick up with an antenna). Where have I seen THAT name before?

My ear is no longer stopped up, except early in the day. I finally felt a real difference on Wednesday after taking medication the night before.
Computer wasn't unplugged but I had to actually turn it on this morning. I did a scan and it found issues but when I clicked it said I had to pay. No, these aren't serious enough issues for me to fix. I would like to go back to the regular scans. At the library I clicked on a Facebook message and got a fake virus warning. I should have told them to check that computer, but when I didn't exit what I was doing it eventually froze and had to be turned off.
My left foot is really doing better. I haven't even taken the band-aids off in days, even when they got wet. I wore nice shoes yesterday and earlier in the week, though they were already discolored.
Both Roys recorded fine.
TV section didn't come again and no response when I told them. I can see the Eastern edition without a subscription so I'll just go ahead and cancel because they can't get it done.
I can't pay my phone bill anymore so now I have to do what I do with cable and my cell phone, once I get the time.
I went to the dentist and the tooth likely needs to come out. For now, he'll try another filling. I didn't think the temporary filling would be that temporary.
