Mouse is still making noise at night but never for very long. Might be more than one because I hear noises a long way from where I hear other noises and don't hear one mouse going from one place to another, if it can go that fast.
Earlier in the week something was making a sliding noise rather than a chewing or clawing noise above the room where I watch TV.
Second Roy did fine.
Trash was picked up.
Didn't look at the result of the scan.
My oldest TiVo quit working. I suspected it was what I call the surge protector but probably isn't. Plugging it in somewhere else worked.

GOT 'IM!
It was in the room where I watch TV but I never saw it. I was considering getting out a glue trap but I was concerned it might be my last one and I want to get more. And where would I put it to be sure?
Turns out it got into the box where I keep them, which happened to be on the mouse's usual path. I got up to make sure nothing was getting eaten or near where the mouse was and therefore about to be eaten. The mouse was struggling to get loose. I put it in the trash but because I already went to bed, I didn't put the trash outside. I did the next day.
And no more mouse noises since.
I watched several TV episodes on my oldest TiVo and I'm about to post about it.

I saw a mouse last night while watching TV and put out a glue trap, but nothing yet. I also heard noise in my room.
However, it was worse Saturday night. A lizard! It did leave so I hope it won't be back.
Both Roys had a few glitches but they mostly recorded. I won't be here to watch live Wednesday even if it's possible.
Trash was picked up.
TV section that I need in the mountains came.

Sports on Monday. No Roy? I hope not.
With the holiday I didn't want to take a chance so I got on my computer at home and I was still there when Roy recorded fine and I saw it.
Mouse peeked out from under the bed. That's not where I needed it to be.
I brought an extra pair of pants where the zipper didn't work. Turned out I needed to wear them, and they're torn but no one said anything.
I lost some episodes from an older TiVo when I didn't pay attention. Maybe ... but I did decide I didn't REALLY want to watch. At the time.
Numerous duplicates of "Legends of Tomorrow" (some were manually recorded and should have been deleted) and Carol Burnett (should have been checked). Plenty of room to record as long as I quickly delete what wasn't needed when I get home.

Work hours are very sporadic currently so it means having to stretch my paychecks in the meantime.
Also for some reason my computer's extra hard drive uninstalled and removed all of the files that were on it and when I went to play the newest Nancy Drew game it was uninstalled and when I tried to reinstall they it had expired so I am waiting on an email letting me on what to do next.

Still seeing the mouse, and it went the wrong way. Glue trap is still not getting it.
I'm not about to describe what happened but I have a possible explanation on the Food Thread.
Also, I brought extra pants and it turned out I had to wear them even though the zipper didn't work AND they had a hole.
The Saturday eEditions for The Charlotte Observer are gone, replaced by something next to useless called "Edition". Since customer service is nonexistent, cancelling is the only option if they take away any more print editions. Unless they cut the cost of my subscription by a substantial amount. I'm trying to reduce my computer time. Also, I was unable to see the low and high for Thursday and forgot to look those up on the TV station web site while in the mountains.
I was up to 100 percent but hopefully I didn't lose anything. I know the movie "Perfect" wasn't last on the list of recordings before I forgot to make sure not too much was being recorded and if it was, deleting it before something else got recorded that could cause something to be deleted.

One of the people who are my consumers seems to show up late on our zoom meetings to follow up on his progress.
We have established on the best time to meet and yet he still shows up late and makes me late for other things I could be doing.
Also my husband ordered me a desk finally and yet the delivery guy refused to carry upstairs and so my husband and I had to carry the heavy box without assistance from the delivery guy who has a hand truck all the way from the bottom of our stairwell to our apartment. Thanks a lot jerk!

No mouse or evidence.
Monday the news started late so if there was a Roy it was after I recorded. Wednesday the same sports even was on instead of the 4:00 news but I recorded Roy just fine at 8:30.
Forgot to mention my numerous computer problems in the mountains. Once I ended up with just a white screen. I switched to the other computer and I'll let them worry about it. I had one window that would never change but always had a rotating circle.
I can't figure out how to charge my cell phone. Moving those TiVos caused the charger to be moved but I don't remember what it plugged into.
Trash was picked up.

No mouse or evidence.
I looked in the manual for my cell phone and saw what the device looks like that I plug it into. With some effort I was able to find one of those in the mess next to where everything is plugged in.
I finally got one of my electric shavers charged. It seemed like no matter what I did, it wouldn't. It needed to be off to charge but turning it off and knowing it was off was the problem.
I tried again with The Charlotte Observer but I think I just end up reading articles I see somewhere else, usually in the actual paper. I don't know how to find out what to read to not miss anything. And it gets worse if they ever drop any other days. There is a time to get questions answered tomorrow but I don't know if I'll know how to participate.

Mouse noises but nothing visible.
Monday just sports. Wednesday morning, no recording and I don't know why. But Wednesday's afternoon the recording had only one glitch, even though it looked like the recording as a whole had problems.
I was able to participate when people asked questions about The Charlotte Observer and I even got two questions answered (I found the Saturday weather) but there were questions I didn't get answered and I don't know if someone knows how to answer them if they didn't get answered. I tried the two methods of asking questions but of course didn't get answers. One question I didn't get an answer to and probably won't was what do I have to read online. It was suggested most of what is in the Friday and Saturday online articles (unless something made it into the actual Friday paper) will end up in Sunday's actual paper. So I won't know the answer until after I see it a week later.
The cell phone is back in the car and I hope it is charged.
I got a package delivered by UPS and I'm having no end of trouble trying to return it. I don't want it, didn't ask for it, and I don't want to contact the annoying people who have been leaving messages on my answering machine. The automated voice can't understand me and refuses to switch me to anyone without a tracking number. Well, it's too long and I can't deal with it. I keep hoping someone from UPS will deliver and I'll be able to just hand the package to them to send it back.
So far it appears I can visit my cousin tomorrow. Something usually goes wrong and the last thing that almost went wrong was that a funeral might have happened but it is Monday.

Trash was picked up but see the Weather thread.
No mouse or evidence, though I might have heard sounds. Something that looked like a grasshopper was making a lot of noise and I thought I squashed it but it disappeared. It wasn't the kind of noise that's really annoying though.
Newspaper articles I was keeping fell and I had trouble telling which once were meant to go out and which ones weren't. So this slows the process of throwing stuff out considerably.
I gave up on trying to figure out what articles I can see online are only there and not in the real paper. I will just miss the article if it doesn't show up in the real paper. But having only six newspapers a week is a problem because it is tempting to leave stuff out. For example, no coverage of the debate. Too late for Friday's paper and old news by Sunday.
No progress on UPS. I went out and got the package and typed what I saw under tracking number and of course I got an email back saying I didn't give them a tracking number. I told them either work with what they have or I throw it away. And I'm not contacting the company that sent what I didn't ask for, which left another annoying message on my machine.
I did have a nice visit with my cousin.

Both Roys did fine.
Trash was picked up.
No mouse or evidence but I did hear the grasshopper again. I squashed it and disposed of it. There was another and I squashed it, but it was moving by morning. Nor much, though.
Six newspapers a week will soon end and so will my subscription unless they try hard to get me to keep mine. I'm not spending more time online and I told them so. I have to just stop caring about news. I haven't heard a response about paying less.
Meanwhile, this doesn't affect my TV section. But I didn't get one. And now they require my subscription information to send me a link to the listings. That is as it should be because why subscribe?
As for other newspapers they still aren't there. How can they not have solved any of their problems yet? I can't see TV listings ... oh, wait, yes I can. Because they sent the link. But I didn't even think of that until something came on I wasn't expecting. I still haven't gotten the next TV section.
I told UPS the tracking number I gave them did start the way they said and they should have figured out that a 12 must have been 1Z or IZ. Then they said contact the company. I'm not doing it, and they called me again.
Oil was changed at my usual garage but it was more expensive than it would have been if I had just gotten it done at Take 5 (and I didn't get to have it inspected at the same time since their machine was broken). One difference: I didn't have to carry the exact amount of cash. I could write a check. I know, but I don't want people touching my credit card when they've done that dirty work. The older car I can still take to Take 5 because it can take the cheaper oil.

No mouse, evidence or noise.
No TV section unless it came today. I'm going to have to report it again. I have to have one.
Once my current subscription runs out, I'm not getting the newspaper I have been getting. Now they might find a way to talk me into it, but what is happening is essentially that I'm getting charged twice as much. I repeatedly stated nothing online will count. And I'm better off just reading old news because there's a lot to read. All I want is ads and coupons, and various uses of newspaper, and the ability to maybe cut out a story without printing it.
As for other newspapers, many of the actual papers for two cities are on the site now. No text anywhere and no issues for the other two cities. But that's progress.
Take 5 is going to give me a good deal on an oil change. But now I can't use it on the newer car because it expires August 13. I also have to figure out how to do it. Furthermore I need to redeem my Popeyes points.
No response from UPS. I seem to recall being told to take something to a UPS store and being told where it is. Maybe I'll do that, but then they'll have to take it because I'm not leaving there with it.
Floss got stuck in my teeth and getting it loose made it feel like I would pull the tooth out. I had to use scissors. I don't know how I got the rest out.
I tried using my new electric shaver and thought I had done a good job, but I mostly still looked like I need to shave.

I heard what may have been mouse noises. Also see the Food Thread.
No TV section unless it came yesterday or today. I haven't checked.
A TV series I forgot to make sure would not get episodes deleted on a TiVo that is full does not count as Apple programming when I get a free trial. But this was not explained. I got an error message that was not explained and then couldn't get the video to start. I'll try other methods but I'm beginning to think it won't be free to watch. And yet it would have been simple to just watch it even though I was reluctant. Well, I have to watch it sooner or later, don't I?
I saw a place to deposit packages for UPS but I don't know how to make sure it won't end up back at my house.
Same situation with electric shavers. One won't really do anything but it's so hard to use the one that works.
Progress is very slow on the newspapers I need to see on the web site, but at least I saw actual papers yesterday. Getting the text is still a problem because there is no text when text is all there is, and I certainly wasn't making Xerox copies at 25 cents each.

I saw the mouse and in some places I wish I hadn't. The glue trap got moved but the mouse hasn't been seen or heard since. More on the Food Thread.
The top popped off the one electric shaver that works without giving me problems, so now it too gives me problems as I have to press down on it when using it.
Progress is continuing on newspapers on the web site. No text yet, and some papers have one or more pages missing and I have to keep reporting those.
No TV section.
My trash was picked up but the recycling container blew open and water got in.
Both Roys last week did okay.

See the Food and Gas Price Threads.
Some text has been added on the web site but none for any of the papers for which there is no actual paper. New actual papers seem to be getting added each day now but older ones are slowly but surely being added. I looked at the actual papers, the ones they had, at the library. Some were missing and these included newspapers not even on the site yet.
TV section came but it's a new one and I read the old one.
I succeeded in getting rid of the package at the UPS Store I was told about when I was told to take something there that I didn't need anymore for a TiVo that didn't work.
Trash was picked up but the containers were moved by the crew cleaning up my yard after the tree crew worked on trees near power lines. There was an orange cone which never got moved and I had to call. I got told to call 811 which was ridiculous and was told essentially the same by the person who finally answered after I had to listen to a lot of choices and advice.
Sports, not Roy, on Monday. I'm not optimistic that it got recorded on the TiVo I used to use. Even though I record a few extra minutes, the signal isn't good. Wednesday's was mostly fine.

My feet were incredible pain after a lot of walking done at Comic Con over the weekend but it was so much fun.
Also my mom was supposed to be meeting me at the airport but unfortunately my cousin isn't able to bring her so it just means a delay before I see her again.
We also had a wild experience with Door Dash, our Dasher brought by our drinks but didn't bring by the food portion of the meal so my husband and I had to walk all the way to the Jack in the Box for the remaining portion of our order. It didn't help that our Dasher doesn't speak English and he just shrugged it off when I tried asking for our food part. Thankfully Door Dash issued the refund for the inconvenience but wow what a mess!

The mouse was back for the first time since the glue trap was moved. It ran whenever it saw me and then made a noise that suggests it's angry.
I keep getting calls from the people who sent the package by UPS but all they do is tell me to call an 800 number. Yeah, that's going to happen. I can't block numbers without paying extra and I'm already paying too much.
No one picked up the cone but I got a call saying someone would respond to the request for a work order. No one has cleaned up across the street where no one lives and the sign is still there and farther down the road saying they'll be back. I saw a truck and I should have talked to whoever was driving when the truck was stopped.
No text still with the papers that are only available by text. For one, printing the text is not an option because no one is allowed to see anything without a subscription. For another there is no apparent limit and hopefully I haven't missed anything. or the third there is a limit on what I can see and I can't get beyond it by using private browsing. I can only go to different libraries.

The cone was picked up. See the Weather Thread.
Some text is available but none for one paper and only newer articles for two others.
Both Roys did fine.
I had a scare when I got a phone call from the cable company saying my package had been discontinued. I wondered why I hadn't gotten snail mail about this. Then I remembered it might have been the junk mail I ignored. This one letter was not merely telling me about a great deal. It said my cost actually would go down. We'll see. I would have preferred a lower cost for fewer channels. I'm going to ignore the change unless I end up paying more and then an antenna becomes a possibility. I don't know how I will get one but I'll have to investigate. At least one problem I had read about didn't happen. Someone said there was an upgrade that was not requested and with that upgrade there was no longer a requirement to allow a TiVo to record shows. There used to be such a requirement but now it's up to the company.

No mouse or evidence but I had to put a tiny frog outside. I wasn't sure whether it was a big piece of dust from the vacuum cleaner bag or the new small vacuum. I used paper towels to grab it and it was the frog. Outside it went.
I nearly contacted McAfee about my scan problems. But as Ii started the scan and got the message saying there would be one next Wednesday, it stared scanning.
Computer got unplugged again and one of those times it wouldn't let me go back to what I was doing, and it didn't know my preferences. Don't know what that was about but I had to correct some things.
Trash was picked up.

No mouse or evidence.
Computer fell on one occasion when I was trying to move it but didn't come unplugged.
One of the TiVos did, though, and it's a good thing I saw the blue light flash. I had plugged in the Internet and the power supply came loose and I thought it was solidly plugged back in. Not sure why it would turn off and come back on. But Roy recorded fine.
I want to transfer content from cassettes but Best Buy didn't have what I needed. Was a trip to Charlotte really productive? Well, I saw a few articles. I have another way of seeing them without going to Charlotte but I don't know how well it will work. I feel like the archives in Charlotte will do better. Also, no answers on what will happen with The Charlotte Observer. I went to a branch library instead of the college I graduated from. The Myrtle Beach paper has made its change and I can't get to articles that are supposedly there because, while some more older content is being added, the web site where everything is free is having a hard time keeping up with adding new information. I was getting a message on the newspaper web site that if I answered a question for them I could get free access to all articles. Not today.

Mouse came back and in one of the worst places it could have. Then it disappeared and I haven't seen it since. I saw evidence where I was cleaning my electric shaver but don't know how old that is. I wouldn't think it would be attracted to hair, but somehow the hair spilled out of a bag that once held lunch. Maybe that's it.
I did stomp on a big bug. A large spider got away.
The Myrtle Beach paper's web site gave me free access if I answered a question. I saw a lot of articles. I am not getting updates on the free web site. I did see nice photos if you ignore the fact they were of areas about to be flooded. I also saw the first paper since the change and local news didn't seem to be any more abundant than it would have been on a Wednesday before the change. This doesn't look good when I'm about to go through the same thing. What happens if news took place after the Friday deadline? Sunday's paper has to be delivered by mail on Saturday. Then nothing until Wednesday. So there is a lot of news that SHOULD be appearing. I did at least talk to the mail carrier, and I think it is understood my mailbox has a separate place to put the newspaper.
I did at least get a long response from a librarian this time after I was persistent. At first I was told, as I had been previously, contact the Observer. Well, I did. after two days, nothing.
Second Roy did fine.
Trash was picked up.
I got another of those calls I wish I could block but call blocking costs extra. I got through to the 800 number and started telling the woman how I wanted no more calls. She started her sales pitch with "Congratulations" and wouldn't stop talking so I hung up on her. Then found my computer got unplugged. I had a message saying to let the computer restart so it was the second time ... no, third time ... that I had to go to private browsing. Any time the computer is turned off I have to sign back in to everything.

Mouse noises. I was going to get a Lowe's gift card and get the glue trap that worked before. I'm out. And then I was told the system is updating and I'd have to wait. I haven't called again. I might not have enough points to redeem.

No noises. Old evidence. I hope it was old.
I didn't have enough points but I was so close the man gave me points and agreed to give me the card. I deserved it because getting there was such a nightmare. I was somehow sent to the wrong person and told to call another number. I don't know how I finally go to the right place but it's ridiculous to do everything with a speech based system.
Drain cleaner didn't really stop water from coming up into the sink, but it drains fast. It was draining pretty fast before.
Both Roys did fine.
