We had a cold front come through but it didn't really make a difference.
Lots of rain on Tuesday. And the low was 78. My heat came on early in the morning, not late in the day. I also turned on the window unit. Officially I think the high was 95 but surely not where I live.
And when I went to the college I graduated from on Wednesday, it looked like it would rain any minute but I got lucky and didn't get rained on except very briefly, and it wasn't raining hard. If I hadn't stayed on the computer so long, I might have gotten rained on where I went after that.
93 yesterday.

92 Saturday. The meteorologist said a serious-looking storm was headed my way and even mentioned my town. It turned west and didn't even reach my town but I did hear thunder.
95 yesterday. Ironically, I never turned on the window unit. The more time I spend away from the computer, the more I need the heat to be working, and if the window unit cools the room with the thermostat, it won't turn on the heat. So I'm actually cooler when the room with the thermostat is warmer, if I'm not in that room.
I lost the Wisconsin radio station to an EAS alert for a storm 100 miles away! I decided not to try to get it back because it could happen again. Same thing happened when I was watching Hulu, which is even harder to get back to.

The meteorologist on one station said Monday was the last day of 90 degrees. It had been 90 or higher every day for two weeks.
84 Tuesday and it was cloudy most of the day.
However, the man was wrong. 91 Wednesday. And where I was at 6:00 there was a big line of thunderstorms coming, and at least one severe thunderstorm warning. A tornado warning was issued by mistake. I left the library when it wasn't raining and got rained on briefly. For some strange reason, the line fell apart when it passed over where I live and then started up again.
There was one day when I lost my Wisconsin radio station to an EAS alert but it was a warning for my county, not a county 100 miles away, or a county 70 miles away like today.
93 yesterday and I got rained on a little.
Today it hasn't rained.
And only 80 tomorrow and Sunday.

Actually, 74 Saturday. It really felt cooler. 79 yesterday but it still seemed different. It's warming back up but won't be as hot.
There is a concern about Dorian. I don't want it to rain. But the past two years storms like this have been much worse than that.

The only forecast for here I have heard related to Dorian says heavy rain and wind Wednesday and Thursday. But if it doesn't reach Florida until Tuesday, it could be later than that. Flooding is expected at the beach so my trip there may be delayed.
Tuesday it didn't even make it to 80 because it was cloudy and there was even drizzle. But Wednesday it was 89 which was a surprise. The forecast was for drizzle that day too.

89 Saturday, and normally I turn the window unit on but I forgot. Saturday is a day when I need it more, but not this time. The low was 60. 87 yesterday, and this seems to be continuing.
The forecast I saw on one station says windy here by Thursday but no rain. Another station says no effects, period. The station with "Roy's Folks", which I just saw while holding the antenna carefully, says showers and windy. What I'm most concerned about is that I want to go to the beach in the next couple of weeks. I don't want any more problems like I had last year. It took me three weeks to get down there and even then ne place I like to walk was flooded. It seems unlikely there will be that much rain this time.

No one could be bothered yesterday or Wednesday to tell us what the low and high were. All I know about Wednesday was that it was hot.
And yesterday it was cloudy and probably cooler. It wasn't as windy as it could have been. No real damage. It hardly rained at all, but we need rain.
This weekend should be nice.
If I'm not here early next week I'm at the beach. It will depend on the weather. As bad as they made it sound, it doesn't appear the beach where I go was affected all that much.

93 three days in a row. One of the meteorologists showed us all the highs from last week to show that it was 90 or above most days. When Dorian came through it was 85. I unplugged my air conditioner in case I went to the beach. I've been miserable. The heat could help if I turned it up. But in the bedroom it's too cold when it runs.
It would have been a good week to go to the beach except it's still going to be in the 90s. Not a real problem since I can't walk as much as I used to, but I was concerned about all the clouds and possible rain. Still, next weekend will be worse and what if it doesn't clear up for next week? It has been nice here and if it was nice down there, it might have been the time to go.

95 several times this week. 98 yesterday which was obviously a record. On Monday I saw that it was raining at the beach so I was glad I didn't go. But it may have gotten better there and it doesn't look like next week will be any better. Humberto could make it worse.

94 twice early in the week and then 79 twice. I don't think it was as hot at the beach. It was at least supposed to rain on Wednesday but where I was, no rain. It looked like it might a couple of times.
I couldn't believe where Humberto was.
Lows in the 40s were forecast for today. It stays about like this for several days.

It has been in the 90s all week. Record high 95 yesterday. Before today, at least it wasn't humid. The good news is it might rain today, tomorrow or Sunday. And it might not. We really need rain. It sure looked like it was about to most of yesterday morning.
Never mind. it's raining.

Record high 94 Friday. Record high 96 yesterday. It got cooler on Saturday but didn't rain, at least not here. It was also supposed to be cooler here today. It started out cloudy.
This weather continues until Friday and then it will really feel like Fall.

Record high of 91 tied. Then 99 Wednesday, the hottest ever in October in Charlotte. Another record yesterday with 98. I saw a headline that said Raleigh reached 100.
Fall weather this weekend.
No rain, though. Trees are just turning brown in some cases.

97 Friday. I said there was no rain, but I may have misunderstood what someone said. It did rain during the night and briefly on Saturday. The high was about 20 degrees cooler but that was misleading. One of those days when the high is recorded around midnight. it actually didn't get out of the 60s.
81 yesterday and about the same today.
