If worse comes to worse, find an old-fashioned barbershop. one of those with the sentinel poles out front, and pay the barber whatever he/she charges to return you from your simian heritage. I have one of those, only without a pole, walking distance from my house, but I'm looking for a permanent solution. I looked in the mirror on Monday and couldn't really tell anything was wrong (so a photo would be permissible), though a close look would reveal I needed to shave. Trust me. Even on Saturday I don't even look like Mac and Charlie of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". I have a correction. Mac's hair is darker than mine. So on Saturday I do look as bad as he does. And it's not going to get better any time soon. I went to half a dozen stores yesterday and none of the electric razors I looked at which were priced reasonably had a cord. I saw at least one corded trimmer, but those are for people who want to look like Mac all the time. No, I don't want to spend money on batteries. No, I won't recharge any more. On Saturday I look somewhere between homeless and Burl Ives.
On Sunday after shaving I just look homeless. I really need to find an electric razor. The problem got worse yesterday and I have no intention of paying for a replacement screen. I could call them and say the screen is defective but it's the razor that's defective and the problem with the screen is the result of that. If I refuse to pay to send it back to the place to be fixed again, surely they can say that because the thing is defective the screen can't be expected to work. But then a new one will break too.

Waiting for a muse is like waiting for Ed McMahon to show up at your door with a check. Here's a hint, ... HE AIN'T COMIN'! Write, write, and write some more even if you have to throw it out. And when you take a break read "On Writing" by Stephen King and "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron and before you know it, you will have one more book published than I do.

You know, you are so right. I wanted to take back that quote almost the moment I posted it. You have to show up first. Then you can arm-wrestle with the muse. You certainly can't wait on them.
Those are great books. And Cameron's is certainly excellent for seeing the world in terms of an artist/writer. Inspiring, even.

Still no photo of me for a while. I worked hard on shaving yesterday and still looked homeless. Then I went to KMart, where I got the piece of junk I use now. They had a corded shaver on sale! Naturally it was out of stock. I'm not sure I want the three-head Norelco, though. I don't know how I would clean it or replace parts. Who knows if I could run into a situation similar to what I have now?
I'm going to try Target next week. They moved it. It used to be next to Home Depot.

Best Buy didn't have anything. The one corded item in my price range was intended to make your stubble look good. I want to get rid of my stubble!
And over the weekend the razor that won't do that just got worse. Fortunately, I had used the trimmer on an old Remington razor which was really good but which they no longer make the replacement parts for. I was pretty close to where I wanted to be.
I found an Easter card I was sent two years ago. It had two pictures of me from my aunt's 80th birthday celebration. In one I was with my cousin who looks like Paris Hilton. She's 60, but I'm referring to when Paris got out of jail. In the other, I'm with the aunt who turned 80 and the aunt who has had cancer treatment who I haven't visited in a while. I don't look good in either of those pictures.

I can't believe that I haven't written in here but here i am! I am forever writing and taking breaks in between writing periods but I find that what happens with me is I need to brainstorm ideas and stuff and I take long breaks because I have to figure out fresh ideas for my stories haven't been done before, for instance in my sci-fi story I have 12 planets and each of them is different and i have to come up with unique weather for each planet and unique creatures that live there as well and sometimes the people as well
