Unfortunately, this is one of the few books that was hard for me to read... I'll pass, you guys go ahead... I've got to catch up on some other reading, anyways.

well this is just no good i want everyone to participate it isnt the same if you dont and besides you have been waiting for this as well so we can vote for a diff book if you prefer? or we can read two books at a time,so that way we all r still reading a book together

I have read The Great Gatsby once before, but I have a copy of it here in the house, and I know a lot more about F. Scott Fitzgerald than I did the last time I read it, so I'd be willing to revisit it again.

ok so i looked at the chapters and they are an average length so im thinking five chapters a week?
and fridays and saturdays at seven pm will be our discussion times
however everyone can post their thoughts on the book as we go along at any time at all

does everyone have their copy of the great gatsby and if not how long until you can get it I thought it was included in a book of Fitzgerald's work that I have, but I now see that it isn't. Since they didn't have a copy at my library I've ordered it from interlibrary loan. Hopefully it will be in by Thursday or Friday of this week. |
