I love Mary Higgins Clark!!!
Daddy's Little Girl by Mary Higgins Clark is a good book as well. That's the book that got me to love Mary Higgins Clark. I can't say I've read Two Little Girls in Blue yet. I'm still trying to get my hands on that book.

I have been having a strange 'go-round' with this Paul Newman bio......the author has certainly done his homework.....but almost to a fault.
i know more about Cleveland than Paul Newman.........idk

There was one that featured McCoy....and the resurrection of several of the old Constitution Class starships....like the Yorktown and The Excalibur.....too bad I cannot remember the title.

I'm not much of an Original Series fan. Always be a Next Gen girl at heart.
The book you mentioned sounds interesting though. My Mom was a huge McCoy fan. She was the reason my sib's and I are all Trekkies, she raised us to be ;D

I know I shlouldn't call myself a Trekkie and admit this but I haven't seen the new Star Trek movie. Something about making Kirk and company young just turned me off of it.
*hangs head in shame* No, No.....that last movie was great....but it in no way should define where the Trek is going. Karl Urban IS Bones.... ...and we are are Trekkers.....not Trekkies.....just saying.....

*hangs head in shame* ....and so you should!! The new Star Trek is fabulous! I went 3 times when it was released into our cinemas! ( I know....I'm very sad ) The 3rd time I went on my own because I didn't want any disruptions to my viewing!! .....and I sat up in the front row, gazing at the screen like a 8yr old..

Timmy, do you know where this debate about trekkie vs trekker came from?? I have to admit to being a big Star Trek fan for as long as I can remember.....and I always called myself a Trekkie until the producers of the new ST claimed that it was not Trekkie but Trekker.

Without google.....i can only recall that there have always been derogatory terms for us 'nerds'. I think that it started with 'Hi Fi'. There was some resistance to the new stereo sound system....as it was, at first, only used by technophiles....nerds of that day. It was deemed a 'lesser' version that took everyone out of their 'comfort zone' There was also an attack on the literary medium known as science fiction...for similar reasons. The detractors dubbed it to be Sci Fi...in the same manner as Hi Fi. The giants felt that it was a 'lesser' writing medium. Fans of the genre soon decided , in all self respect....that it should be referred as SF. I think that this is where the Trek people decided to make a stand.....and to separate themselves from part time fans...as opposed to serious, science fact/prophecy persons.

I love love LOVE going to movies alone. I can follow them better and no one is with me when I cry Well there you go then! That's something we definately have in common! Once I get my ticket at the foyer and get in....I'm more than happy! Y'see the problem is that I live in a pretty small town....and I'm a teacher. Those two things mean that I can bump into students who think I've no friends or family to accompany me to the cinema!!

I so understand being happy about getting the ticket and getting inside and just being happy.
The movie that started me on going alone was Braveheart. I went and loved that movie and sobbed for the last 45 minutes of it. Ever since I have gone to them alone especially when it is something I know will make me cry. Like Brokeback Mountain.

Timmy to ur comment about the bio i must say i do hate books that dance around the point i read a room of one owns by virginia woolfe and i do say that there are many good points and intriguing ideas but i feel after reading it that she was sidetracked by so many things so that she talked about so much that i feel maybe i am not any wiser for having read it and i felt a little confused too lol although i cant say why lol

On the subject of bio books the last one I read was Bill Clinton's My Life I think was the title. It was excellent, the man has had an amazing life. And yes I was and am a fan of the man. He was a great President.
