After many years I am just starting to reread The Clan Of The Cave Bear series by Jean M. Auel. They are old favorites and when the last book of the series (there are 6 total) came out last year I realized when I finished it that I was going to have to reread them all. I just bought them all again today and I am looking forward to some quiet time tonight to start reading.
I do highly recommend them. Some of the best researched books I have ever read.

Hey everyone I would have to say I adore this thread this has happened to me so many times. I finish a book and not a clue what to read next. My best recommendations has to be Nicholas Spark and Emily Giffin novel. I love them both so very much. I currently have One Day by David Nicholls and Baby Proof on my floor waiting to be read. Anyone have any suggestions feel free. Peace and Non Creepy Love, Christina

John D. MacDonald....author of Seven and Cape Fear......wrote a series of books featuring Travis McGee.
All titles have a color in their names.
...like The Empty Copper Sea.....The Green Ripper...and The Lonely Silver Rain
All are worth reading.

There's a book series about a fallen angel and a girl called Hush Hush and it's freaking amazing!! It's my new favorite book series!! It's about this fallen angel named Patch and he is a bad ass and super sexy to the extreme it's unreal and he wants to be made human but for this to happen he has to kill this girl Nora who is of this certain bloodline that makes it possible for an angel to be made human if people of this bloodline are killed but he falls in love with her and it's such a good book with lots of twists and turns I couldn't put it down, it's such a page turner and it a series of three books. I just read the 3rd book last night and it was amazing!! I rec this series so hard.

Those are some of my most treasured books. Did you ever see the horrible movie they did based on Flowers??
I haven't read Sunday's at Tiffany's yet. I will get around to it sooner or later. I'm obsessed with the Alex Cross books and I also love Where The Wind Blows and The Lake House.
I've tried to read Dean Koontz and I can not get into his books. I think I like Stephen King too much
Anne Rice is amazing. Her Vampire Chronicles will always be my favorite books of hers. The Vampire Lestat is my very favorite of that series. I reread it every few months.
On A Pale Horse is about a guy named Zane who kills Death and has to then become Death. It is an amazing book and I HIGHLY recommend that series, the books are about Death, Time, Fate, War and Nature and all are excellent.
Don't worry about not having read Harry Potter. Lots of people haven't, I only got into it because of my kids

Lol usually everyone gives me crap for not having read harry potter yet lol but i will eventually and that book on a pale horse sounds interesting are they long books tho? i think i def need to read anne rice i just get put off by all the vampire novels im afraid they will all be the same what kind of books does Alex cross write hmm that name sounds so familiar if you get a chance u should def read the girls by lori lansen its really good you know what would be a cool idea if we all decided on a book to read and

If they do redo it I hope they are true to the book finally. Oh and I hope they get better actors as well
On a Pale Horse is a book that will make you think. I've read it several times in the last year and I notice something new every time. I actually found it because of the last guy who broke my heart a few months ago, it was his favorite and he got me to read the series. And no they aren't that long, the longest in the series is third one about Fate.
Anne Rice's Vampire books are not at all the same. Each has a point to it I think. If you are worried they are like Twilight do not worry they are soooooo much better than that trash.
Alex Cross is James Patterson's main character in the majority of his books. They have done two movies based on his books- Kiss The Girls and Along Came A Spider both starring Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross. Kiss The Girls was a wonderful movie and the book was even better if that is possible
I will look for The Girls. As I said I am always looking for great books. Thanx for the suggestion
I'm interested in your idea for a book club. Just have to figure out what is first. Personally I'd love it it was Pale Horse just because I'd love to talk about it with you.

'Cat and Mouse' is worth a read too!

If you have already read, "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, then I recommend, "Deaths comes to Pemberly" by P.D. James.

Aww thank you for the sympathy. I'm actually doing much much better than I was 4 months ago when it happened. I was barely able to function then. Now I'm excited to go to work, walk my dog and play with my Granddaughters
If it is Pale Horse you are going to get then I truly hope you enjoy it.
