I opened a can of soup and when I poured it out, it wasn't chicken noodle. It was chicken and dumplings. So hard to clean up.

I didn't have much of an appetite at the beach. I got overcharged for two pancakes but it was so hard to eat just those, and after I paid so much, I only got one the next two days. Once I realized what happened, my one pancake was free.
I got two sandwiches at a grocery store because Burger King seemed to be drive through only. I couldn't even eat one for lunch, so I put the other in the refrigerator and ate in the next day. I didn't even bother with the place that let me order and pay without being in the car. Since I was able to use the restroom in the library, there was no reason to walk that far. And yes, I ate half the sandwich for lunch and half for supper.
I found hot dog buns. The previous week I had to use regular bread because I had two packages of hamburger buns and no hot dog buns. I just hadn't looked.
I believe I posted about my turkey burgers already. I forgot I should do it here.

I almost didn't buy bread yesterday but I'm close enough to out to go ahead. Just because it's only $3 instead of buy one get one free is not reason not to.
And what happened at one grocery store chain has happened again. I can't get store brand apple juice in a two quart size. But they do still have gallons. The other grocery store chain didn't even have those.
$1.33 for a gallon of milk? I can't even get pints for that most places. But that's what I paid out in the country. The same chain has the same "brand" for $1.99 at the cheapest place I had gone and $2.59 where I live. There is no brand, by the way.

Still out of apple juice at my "usual" grocery store but this week, after being out, they had plenty of store brand juice in the smaller containers where I get points.
And at long last I'm close enough to being out of cookies that I can buy more.
And then I went and bought Pumpkin pie, which delays eating cookies.

Found two more loaves of bread while looking for something else.
It took some effort but they did have apple juice at the chain where I had to get a gallon last time.

I have one loaf left and just opened another one. I found a different type of bread on sale.
On the other hand when I thought I was out of hot dog buns, I found a package that wasn't even opened, after I had gotten more.
I'm almost finished with the pumpkin pie. It's hard to get it out of the box each time.

I ran out of my usual bread and had to buy another type because that was on sale. Yesterday my bread was on sale and I got two loaves. If it's still on sale next week I'll get two more and wait to use the other bread.

I thought I was out of the whole grain saltine crackers from the store where I get points. I found an old box. How old? They taste awful!
One solution: my Wheat Thins taste similar and cheese helps. It'll take a while to finish those and the Triscuits. I have several unopened boxes. Meanwhile, I'm getting through the saltine crackers slowly by eating them with cheese for breakfast.
At the store where I get points, they had some cookies on sale that the other store didn't have. I like the cookies I got but there are fewer per package and, besides, they taste "too" good. I like to save anything that good for special occasions like Saturdays.
I've had two Thanksgiving dinners this week. My cafeteria had turkey on Wednesday. I got the wrong macaroni. I saw it and it looked like it had cheese. It might have. But I was in the wrong place. I just didn't want that brown stuff on top. The roll and corn bread weren't up to the usual standards.
And I ate with the family for the first time in two years. The food was good.

Just opened the last loaf of the bread I like. I have most of one loaf left of another kind, and two loaves of high fiber bread which was on sale but isn't the kind I really like.
I mentioned the family and I never said how many there were. I'll count those I know about.
There was me, my aunt and uncle, three cousins and two of their spouses (one may have just been where I couldn't see her), two sons of one cousin, one son of another and his wife if they're married or his girlfriend if they're not, the daughter of one cousin and her twins, the granddaughter of that same cousin but not her father, and the son and daughter of the husband of the same cousin, the wife and two children of the son and the son of the daughter. That's 22 that I know about, and there may have been more that I didn't see. The only time we were all in one room was for the blessing and I didn't get a good look at everyone. My cousin who told me we were getting together said 28-30. This cousin's sister didn't come but she will likely come with her husband, son and daughter-in-law for Christmas.
Christmas is the 19th.

I saw the label of the soup can before I opened it and it said "chicken corn chowder". Why do they put similar looking cans so close together? I wanted chicken noodle. However, it did taste good. It's just such a mess.
I have reason to believe a bird that got in my kitchen was attracted by what I hadn't yet cleaned up. And before I thought to close the kitchen door, it got into every other room except the bathroom I don't use and I had the worst time getting it to leave. No, you can't get out through the window! And even if I did open it, it hasn't been opened in 30 years and probably won't.

I finished my usual bread and have a few slices left of one type of bread that was on sale which is not the usual. Two loaves of another style are still not open.
Kelly's Marathon did have bologna. However, I had to wait for it, and when I got my sandwich it wasn't like I like it. I wouldn't have kept coming back there for that. Next time I need to be sure to tell them I want it cold, just like the first time.
I dropped a cookie jar, although that's not the problem. The problem was it was empty Sunday night and it would have needed washing anyway. I had to find something I could close without putting it in the cookie jar. I started on my fruitcake last night.

I am almost through with the last of the bread that isn't my usual bread. The bread I like was on sale yesterday where I get points.
I also found plenty of store brand apple juice where I get points.
I'm almost through with the stale crackers. Also, I found two more boxes of the same crackers and they're not stale even though they're the old design. The boxes with the new design have not been available in weeks (where I get points). I find the regular but not the whole grain. It's the whole grain I like, plus they're healthier.

I found a cheap brand of apple juice at my "usual" store. 10 cents more than the store brand, but I was charged what the store brand costs.
Where I get points I got two more loaves of the bread I like and tomorrow I go back to using that.
By increasing how many stale crackers I eat I got rid of them yesterday. However, supply chain issues have affected the same type crackers at a store I don't go to every week. Actually, I can go there next week. At least I still have quite a few left that aren't stale but aren't fresh either.

I'm through with one loaf of the bread I like and I know where three more loaves are. I think I saw one in the bag with mixed nuts that I will eat next week.
I was hoping my family would have another get-together this past weekend but it didn't happen. I knew they wouldn't all be there but I was hoping there would be something.

The bread I like has not been on sale and I don't remember how many loaves I have left, but I think it's two. I got two more of the smaller kind which is called Oatnut, and yesterday found another type of whole wheat bread on sale.
I still have not found whole grain crackers. At one store whole grain Ritz and Club Crackers were out. I did find Ritz at another store but the square crackers which taste so good I haven't found anywhere. The best ones are at the store where I get points.

Still no whole grain crackers other than Ritz. Also, I discovered some of my Ritz are stale.
But I now have eight loaves of bread. Six are the brand I normally buy, and two of those are small. Hopefully they'll last. The other two do not have a second inner wrapper. My usual bread doesn't have preservatives but if the other bread does, it might last until I finish the other six loaves. One good thing is biscuits have gotten so expensive I will eat them only rarely, so I'll be eating peanut butter sandwiches instead when I eat soup or chicken nuggets. However, the brand of hamburger buns I buy is cheaper so that won't help.
I saw Cadbury and Reese's eggs but I'm not ready yet. I have too many other special treats for Saturday evening.
At the store where I get points no problems because of the upcoming winter weather. I did find milk where I usually get it, so apparently the brand that doesn't even have a name is too undesirable. I didn't check for bread because i normally don't buy it there.

I found more cookies and another box of Wheat Thins. The good news is I'm close to being out of older cookies.
I got lunch at a place where the waitress came outside with an umbrella and she couldn't hear what I said. I said ham and cheese and she thought I said hamburger. I repeated "ham and cheese". Another waitress came out and asked if I wanted a hamburger or a cheeseburger. I said I never mentioned a burger. At least the sandwich was good.

Actually, the small loaves of bread do not have an inner wrapper either. I can't find one of them and I've been through every bag. Unless I haven't. I've got a week or so before the other loaf turns moldy, but maybe I only thought I bought it.

I still haven't found the other loaf of bread so I hope I just decided not to get it.
I opened a can of soup this morning and found out it was tomato. I dumped chicken noodle in it and that tasted pretty good but it will be really hard to clean up. So much for my wanting to buy macaroni and beef or spaghetti.

And I was just reminded I forgot to come here.
I bought Well Yes! soup for the first time since it was on sale. Well No!
I found the missing bread. I just needed to look harder in one of the places. I had moved some stuff to close the door so the bird wouldn't get out of the kitchen. And a mouse or something had already gotten in it, but that only affects one or two slices.

I will get a coupon because of my online comments about Well Yes! I';ve got another one to eat but the coupon will make that more tolerable.
No evidence of the mouse other than the number of slices of bread in the loaf a mouse got into going down from six to two. Yes, I had to stop with six because it looked like the sixth slice had been nibbled on.
I got another brand of cookies on sale, even though I have enough of the first brand to last until July.

I threw away the bread the mouse got into and finished one loaf of one type of bread that is not my usual. I decided to go back to my usual bread tonight and hope the bread that isn't my usual is still good.
I have oatmeal cookies and that used to be something special for the weekend. Now, I just eat special cookies or other special sweets on Saturday. But oatmeal cookies I used to eat on Sunday. I can eat them then. But then the regular cookies will last even longer. I'll eat the Keebler before I get to the last of the Nabisco and hope for the best.

I finished one loaf of bread yesterday that had some mold. I lost the equivalent of four slices, and putting together pieces of four slices gave me what looked like the same amount in two slices. I have used some of the slices in the other loaf that has mold. There is more left of each slice. Meanwhile, I still haven't used one loaf that isn't my usual brand, and the label is the only thing green about eh other loaf that isn't my usual brand that is almost finished.
I was going to get a Cadbury egg but I only found the one type. They were on sale if I bought three, but I didn't want three of the same type. I want the original, caramel, and chocolate. Yes, it is already chocolate, but there's a version that is chocolate on the inside. No, I didn't get credit for buying a Reese's egg which was also on sale if I bought three.
I got $4 off with a coupon for Well Yes! That's more than the soup cost but I had bought two cans and, while I liked the second one better, maybe it was because of the coupon.

I have a few slices left of my usual bread from the last loaf that had mold. Each slice tastes like it has mold even when I take off the parts that sort of look like they do. No problem with the few slices left of one loaf that isn't my usual brand. But I checked the other loaf and it is turning green. I have to open it and take out all the slices so the ones that are green are on top, and hopefully the rest will be all right.

I ate all the slices of the loaf that were turning green and still have slices that don't appear to have problems. But the loaf I was almost finished with that had mold on slices I already ate now has mold on slices that are left. I have lost the equivalent of three slices when all that was left of several slices had to be combined to create enough to eat, in addition to those that already happened to.
The loaf that isn't my usual brand has no problems.

I lost more slices of the second to last loaf that was turning green. Nearly the whole slice was green in some cases. No problems with the other loaf with just a few slices but I'm ready to open one that is my usual brand.
I paid 10 cents more for my Cadbury egg than I would have by just going ahead and buying it when I couldn't get the sale price because they only had the one variety and I wasn't buying two. I found the caramel but not the original at another store and bought a Reese's egg too. I found jelly beans for a little over half the price I would pay for a store brand though the store brand package might have had more. But I should eat fewer.
I finally opened my last box of Wheat Thins. I have several Triscuit boxes but I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.
I had the worst time getting fish sticks out of the freezer. Three boxes can't be moved. One I finally got moved but my hands were so cold.

I found another box of Wheat Thins. Add to that four boxes of Triscuits and one box each of Sociables and Chicken in a Biskit.
Wheat Thins take longer to eat. The others I eat at the rate of one box per week.
I ate both Cadbury eggs and a Reese's egg on Saturday. I couldn't just eat one of the three at a time and be satisfied.

I have one box of Wheat Thins left. How I solved that problem is that I realized Cheez Its don't have to be something special for the weekend. After all, they're not special. So if I'm still hungry, I don't eat more Ritz. I get hungry again and don't want to eat yet another sleeve. But if I eat Cheez Its I can eat as few or as many as I want. And even though I had way more Cheez Its than I could eat because it was a way to get points, that was no longer true. Once I ran out, I had lots and lots of Wheat Thins and Triscuits. There are consequences for eating too many, but so far so good.
