Five minutes after I walk into the house, a can of biscuits pops open.
I ate the biscuits and they were actually pretty good. I kept them well wrapped.

The slaw dressing container was slippery and I dropped it after opening. And it's not like mayonnaise. It is much more watery and I dropped it on the carpet. Fortunately, I dropped it where I had newspapers covering the floor to walk on when I need to do that. At lest this week I didn't burn my turkey burgers.
Yesterday we had lunch at the church. This happens every time we have guest musicians. I know better than to be there during the service itself when that happens, but I sneaked out of another church to get back to my church in time to eat. When I went to get a bulletin after eating, there were all these musical instruments and lots of speakers. That means I was right not to be there.

They've had pumpkin pie made at the grocery store for two weeks now. I decided to go ahead while I was thinking about it. And last night I ate my first slice. I was also wearing a pumpkin pie shirt. The wider horizontal stripes are the color of the pie. The narrower stripes are the color of the crust. Or at least that's how I see it.

I didn't look at the can of soup before I opened it Wednesday. Vegetable beef is something I limit to Fridays because that's when i wash dishes. But it wasn't hard to clean up, as it turned out. The one consequence came last night. I was afraid I was in trouble, but the situation corrected itself without my having to pretend to be Merr's husband.

I was needing an energy boost this morning so I made my own version of a Wendy's frosty. I used half and half, vanilla ice cream, cool whip, two packets of organic hot chocolate and blended it for about 2 minutes, delicious and good!

The hospital where I was getting chicken salad sandwiches didn't have them the last time I went there. But they did once again this week. I know the sandwich wasn't entirely responsible, even though it was whole wheat with dark lettuce and tomato, because I was feeling not so great even before I ate it, and the reason is probably that I opened a loaf of bread and found it had turned green in places (which happened several weeks ago because I bought more bread, when it was on sale, than I can eat, though I had no side effects I'm aware of). And while I didn't eat the green parts, it tasted the same as if I had. And while this meant the slices were smaller, I finally decided I needed to combine smaller slices after I cut off the green parts, to make what was the same as regular size slices. That night let's just say I used an entire roll of Charmin. I don't usually use that but when I need it to be soft I do. The Scott brand lasts longer but ... we won't go into that. The next day I felt better, but not right away. And what happened will be on the weird dream thread. The bread had an inner wrapper, which not all breads do. That wrapper was torn. Maybe that's why it turned green. I get a coupon as a result of calling the 800 number and reporting it, but I was unable to find a sell by date to help them track down whether it was happening to other people.

At the hospital in the county where I live, I discovered they have veggie burgers. I tried one. Not that good. I went back to turkey this week.
The place I eat in another town charged me something like $4.25 for a simple sandwich and it has been $.01. When I first ate it, it was $3.77. I said it had been $4.01 and the woman took off cheese. It turned out, since I hadn't eaten the sandwich yet but I wanted to make sure my credit card would work, that there was mayonnaise (I was never asked) and no cheese.

I couldn't remember whether I needed hot dog buns or hamburger buns. However, if I run out of hamburger buns, I can use bread. I did use artisan bread for hot dogs recently, though, so I could get rid of it faster.
It was hamburger buns I was out of. So I ate my sloppy toms on bread. Whole wheat is healthier.
I couldn't find the ice cream I liked last week. I may have to search more stores. I just don't want to buy a huge container and eat more than I can eat at one meal. Or go to a place where ice cream is expensive.

I was looking for something else and discovered a bottle of Lysol I had not opened. I recently emptied a spray bottle and needed to refill it, but I already had lavender-scented and I was going to use the other bottle for another spray bottle. Eventually, one will be used for one bathroom and the other for the other bathroom, because I'm finally out of Mr. Clean. Mr. Clean spray bottles are a real pain since I have to empty them to use them for the kind that kills germs, and that kind isn't found in spray bottles that I know of.
But I decided to get the Lysol bottle I had found for when I am ready for it. I had a hard time finding it and discovered two boxes of multi-grain crackers in boxes that aren't even sold anymore! I've been eating those for a week and finally finished them, and I look forward to not having to eat any more stale crackers.

I've been snacking on unsalted cashews and miniature chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, I started out with 16 mini cupcakes, I now have 8 left. The blue frosting tastes better on the chocolate ones instead of the vanilla ones but oh well.

I was about to open a can of biscuits but it felt really soft. I opened it and they were green.
I have a moisture problem in my refrigerator. I've gotten lots of coupons for cans that popped open, so I won't bother to ask for anything.

The convenience store where I get baloney sandwiches didn't have lettuce or tomato. I don't know whether this is permanent, but there's no point in going back. It's so much easier to find a place to eat before I get there. And to think not only their baloney but also their lettuce used to be so good. The baloney has been inconsistent, depending on which kind they had, but the lettuce hasn't been good.

They had simple sandwiches today after church with coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans as well as some fruit. The coleslaw tasted just like the nasty mess I had nearly 14 years ago at a summer Junior ROTC camp, yuck! I am very particular about my coleslaw because of this to this very day as well as potato salad, macaroni salad and chicken salad. Let's just say I am still kinda hungry but not sure what I want to eat.

I have to remember now that I don't have as much time to go to the post office. I replaced the part that gets hot on the burner on my stove that I use most. Since it is more level, whatever is on top gets hot faster. So I came home to smell my hot dogs burning. With all the stuff I put on them, that's not a big problem, but it's hard to clean up.
Something similar happened this morning as I was getting my wash out of the dryer. A nonstick pot shouldn't run out of water. it looked like rust on the bottom. Putting more water in it solved the problem.

I love popcorn, but every time I go to the movies, I get nachos with cheese. They offer popcorn with the nacho cheese flavoring, but that would probably make my fingers too messy.

I never get popcorn at theaters, it's either too buttery or too greasy but I do like getting mixed icees at the movies.

I keep almost burning my hot dogs. By the time I realize what is happening, it is too late and it's a mess to clean up.
I forgot I needed hamburger buns, not hot dog buns. But it's easier to use regular bread to substitute for hamburger buns. I feel lousy afterward, but high fiber is healthier than white bread.

I made an unique coffee flavored milkshake. It's made from Trader Joe's instant coffee that has cream and sugar in it, milk, whipped topping, a few spoonfuls of cookies and cream ice cream and blended for a few seconds. Yum!

I burned my Sloppy Toms on Monday. Twice. Once in the pot when it was just the turkey burger, which is how my father made Sloppy Joes. And once in the frying pan where I add ingredients. What a mess. I didn't get the pot cleaned up even though it was nonstick. And burning a nonstick pot is not a good thing. I don't know whether I can still use it, so I got a new one and threw the old one away. I had been looking for one that wasn't nonstick so I could use a Brillo to clean it. I'll just keep using a Brillo and being very gentle.

I burned my Sloppy Toms again today. What a mess. I had to use two Brillos to clean the frying pan. There was no hope for cleaning anything else after that.
I have not gotten jelly beans for several years. This year I got Brach Jelly Bird Eggs without waiting for them to be on sale. Why do there have to be white and black ones? I have to eat those first so I can be rid of them and enjoy the others. I can't eat all that many at once anyway.

I was successful today with my turkey burgers. Even when I thought I had plenty of time, I just turned them off.
I walked to a restaurant where I like to eat but don't eat at too often since I have to use cash. It was closed. No explanation. I had to go to a different restaurant where I have to use cash. Which meant I had to go to the nursing home, because after all, only if I go there is the place not out of the way. I was going there this week, so I was planning to eat at that other place then.

I didn't even eat until nearly 4:30 Friday. I had the hardest time getting in and out of the place. At least the people who work there are really nice. Cook Out has the best tasting barbecue sandwiches. But I had to make a left turn on a four lane highway that doesn't have a left turn lane--to get to the gas station where I got milk and gas. I was going the other way anyway so I went to Cook Out, but when I left there was a no U-turn sign. I kept going until I got to a stop light.

I had a jelly bean for breakfast. My breakfast crackers also go in a box I stored jelly beans in so I could eat them over a period of time. I missed one because there were still so many crumbs left over from old packages.

I should have gotten a Cadbury egg before it went on sale, because when it did they all went quickly. All I found was a Russell Stover maple egg on Tuesday. At the Citgo with hot dogs, I asked and they did have Cadbury eggs. I think it ended up costing more than it would have at my grocery store. Plus I ate hot dogs while walking and by the time I finished them, my egg was almost melted and hard to eat.
I had SpaghettiOs for the first time in I don't know how long. I was waiting until they were in cans I could open without a can opener, and I found them in those cans. I finally decided to go ahead and eat them today. They are so good, especially if I add cheese. But so messy. I'm not looking forward to cleaning the can for recycling.

I ate too much Sunday. It always happens when we have lunch at the church. And this was the lunch where there are 12 groups of tables, each with decorations related to a month, and everyone sits at the table for the month when they were born.
That Russell Stover egg was so good. I shouldn't even go near one.

If I haven't mentioned it, Arby's stopped selling junior sandwiches and now sells sliders instead. That's the only way to eat cheaply. The regular sandwiches are just so expensive. But the sliders aren't very filling.
I finally got a Gorton's bag of fish sticks open. This style wasn't the type that recloses.

I keep forgetting to post that I ate another can of Frozen soup. And that really belongs on the OUAT thread.
But for the past two weeks I have eaten Andy Warhol soup on Friday.
I had the most difficult time getting my new turkey burgers open this morning. Because those really are frozen. And putting something in the space between the burgers is a pain even with the paper that is in there.
