Just saw in another thread that Bruce Willis offered Jared the role of his son in the next Die Hard (Die Hardest?) movie but if season 8 is a sure thing then he'll have to turn the role down. The imagery of John McClane and "Sam Winchester" running around in a high rise/air plane/city/tunnel taking down bad guys/terrorist had me automatically thinking "and when Dean joins up it will be like old times - Sam, Dean, and John Winchester!" Oh boy, I think I need to netflik Christmas Cottage again to see Jared in a vastly different role that doesn't remind you of "Winchester!".

I heard Willis wanted Jared to play his son. All I could visualize was father son discussions with Willis looking way up at Jared. LOL!

I would be all giddy to see Jared in that movie!

yeah I love Sam very much, but Sam is to much in the background so I am starting to think about when there is no season 8 I can see Jared in something different!
I would love to see him as the son of Bruce Willis. Alone for Jared I would watch that movie...of course!

The less I see from Sam the more I watch out for him. When I watch TV and I see a scene reminding me of Sam somehow I wish they would give Sam more thoughts and important scenes.

Jared turning down the movie for SPN and then playing Sam with so much 'soul' and so little support from the writers is ...just...incredible!!!! Love ya Jared, and of course Sammy! :heart:

Sam deserves a little more love than this. The poor guy. He's pretty much falling apart right in front of everybody, but nobody is acknowledging it. I just want to scoop him up, bring him home, give him a home cooked meal and dessert and send him to bed so he can get lots and lots of much needed sleep. The poor baby.

yeah, exactly, and why not acknowledge it from the writers? Give us something, anything. The writers only tell us Sam has problems, Dean only says, Sam is just as screwed up as he and 'the other shoe will drop'

Is anybody else getting sick of the Dean girls who keep running to their Dean thread to bash or attack us because of how we feel in regards to Sam's treatment this season? The Dean girls are getting everything they want and then some with Dean this season, but god forbid we try and put in our input on how we feel about Sam and we're told we're "too involved with just one character" which is amusing considering how much they all whine about Dean. Pretty hypocritical of them, don't you think?

No, I don't search for comments from dean fans who are saying something about Samfans, that is not my intention.
I just feel that Sam's person is not getting the attention he should get. There are people out there who are attached to the character and coming with Sam's character into the story of SPN, this includes by most of them, I am sure, both brothers relationship.
It's simply like I shouldn't care for Sam and like he is some robot and frankly Sam is cut out from his own story, the aftermath of his ordeal, like Sam's redemption arc was really one-sided. It was more about how Dean felt with this and with that and season 6 we had soulless Sam and that wasn't Sam at all, and after Sam's souls returnes we had silent Sam in the background and focus was again on Dean. So I am frustrated and disappointed with the way Sam Winchester is presented, he is more presented like he is not human, absent and cutted off from relationships, he is really alone, he is all alone!!!

Why I still have the connection? It's because of Jareds acting, he gives his soul into Sam, that's why I still hang on. But in the same time its like I am starving looking at Sam, the character!

I don't want any fights, I just have the feeling of a deep loss!
Further the brothers really don't talk anymore in a good way. They did that good in the past, re-watching old episodes are showcasing this.

You're welcome! I watch the early seasons, and it's painful to see how emotionally isolated Sam has become. In previous years, Dean would have said "What's going on with you?" and now it's just a sidelong look and nothing.

You don't remember? Back in S2 in the Houses of the Holy ep, Sam teased Dean about unicorns when they were discussing if angels were real or not. It went something like

Dean: "They ride on silver moonbeams and shoot rainbows out of theirs."

Sam: "Wait, there's no such thing as unicorns??" *looks concerned*

Then Dean realizes Sam is just fucking with him. Not only that, but there was a spoiler that unicorns are going to be in this episode along with photos of said unicorn. ;D

I don't know why, but when I read your post I thought of Ally Mcbeal straight away - there is that one episode where she admits to have seen a unicorn and wish to see it again and maybe ride it.

I wanted to comment on that to you, windy but I haven't had the chance. That is seriously SO cool! If you have like a dept store around you like Carson's or Macy's, I find in their homestore you can find some really super cute frames for decent prices. You should check it out! So awesome, girl!

LOL that's hilarious. xD I never watched Ally McBeal, but being a horse person as well as an accomplished equestrian and love horses in general, I love that they're bringing unicorns onto the show! FINALLY! And I liked watching Sam ride the horse in the western ep, so I'd love to see him on a unicorn's back. And you know, a lot of childhood fantasies for girls is riding a unicorn. I'd love to ride a unicorn, even if it weren't real, it'd be so cool to ride a horse decked out as a unicorn.

I going to take a wild guess and say maybe it's Jensen who never been on horseback? Gen is an accomplished equestrian and I *thought* somebody said Gen and Jared would go riding together but haven't ever since Gen became pregnant.

Actually, both boys have ridden horses. Jared rode horses with Gen before she got pregnant because Gen is also an accomplished equestrian. Jensen used to ride horses before Supernatural if I'm not mistaken. When they did the western, Jared and Jensen both took the horses out and rode while on set.

Except I only got to ride a horse a couple/three times. BUT I did draw horses allthe time! Horses, and unicorns and pegasuses. Pages upon pages of loose leaf paper, filled with horses in all their many guises.

What about finding a nice plain frame, like a shiny black or something, and then adding your own decoration to it, to personalize it? Not necessarily decoupage, but that would be nice too. If you're like me, you have a folder on your computer that's filled to bursting with SPN images, plenty of material for decoupage if you wanted to go that route.

LOL omg I did! I drew horses ALL THE TIME when I was a little girl! I grew up with horses, riding them, showing them, etc... I used to collect Breyer horses as well and even still have some from my childhood. I used to get in trouble at school for drawing horses on my notebook paper during class. I love horses to pieces.
