I do indeed know what "graces" are and Obama certainly does not exhibit them. When I look for people who live beond themselves I look to Mother Teresa, Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and the like.
I certainly don't look for it in a smarmy Chicago politician who has no idea what to do with the tremendous power the American electorate foolishly granted him in 2008. All he knows how to do is campaign, blame others for his problems, play golf and fund raise.
Am I better off than I was in 2008? Resoundingly, NO!
Am I safer than I was in 2008? F--K, NO!
Is my country a more perfect union than it was in 2008? F--K, NO!

Look, I don't mind having a political back and forth with you but don't you EVER hurl the term facist at me!
The only facists I see are on the left wing: the tree huggers and people for the ethical treatment of animals and rabid democrats who want to herd people into their own self-described forms of thought control and setional welfare states.
I'm not voting for Pope, I'm voting for the person who is going to uphold the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
You want one instance of Mitt Romney showing the milk of human kindness? Fine. Watch the third night of the republican convention when two different families described his volunteered empathy and kindness towards members of their families during times of great sadness, sickness and death.
Does that do it for you? If not, I really don't care. Your political views are yours and even though I may disagree with them, I won't deny you the right to have them, as many on the left would want to deny me.
Right now, a man who made a movie is being told not to show it (by our own government) because it upsets nutcases in the middle east. What would the left have done if GW Bush had told them not to make all the nasty movies they made about him, huh?
If you want to see facists, just look at the political left, my friend.

You calling me smarmy? I find your holier than thou attitude pretentious and offensive. Just because some people don't parade their acts of goodness in front of aTV camera sor reporters doesn't make their acts any less worthwhile or worthy of praise. In fact I am less impressed with public displays of goodness since those are often from people looking for acclaim. So, you go on your merry way, but before you look to denigrate those of a different political persuasion, stop and think that perhaps they are doing good, but doing it quietly.

I'm sorry, but if the cliche 'the milk of human kindness' is the best you can do, you guys need to get real. Gee whiz, o mighty purveyor what what must be said, if you find fault with my inability to phrase sentences in a way that will be pleasing to you............try to imagine how little I care. "You guys." Whom do you mean? All those who dare think differently than you? All those whose thoughts don't conform to the approved state think? Pretty soon you'll be having all political non-conformitst wearing a sewn-on symbol on their clothing so that our presence will be known. If the best you can come up with is a Dr. Phil phrase, I'm not worried.

No, if someone uses a cliche that is a backslap, such as 'the milk of human kindness' which shows they actually don't care, then they would be better suited to drop cliches and say what they actually mean. In other words, to communicate creatively, if that is at all possible for them. Like T.S. Elitot said, 'make it new.' There's no excuse for jingoistic sloppy communication. Just say what you mean, and do it in a new way. It's not that hard. So, now you're actually telling people what they should write?

I know what you're saying...but I'm having way too much fun fucking with you. Touche, you win. Dammit, that's a cliche. Ok, you win because because you see what I'm saying, even though it's probably just a temporary nueron flash, and because the wind right now is blowing from the east.

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword.
It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so.
How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar." - Julius Caesar

You know what's funny - they keep saying a Republican could win in this environment - looking at the field that was on display during the Republican Primary for our consideration was an insult to all Americans and each one spent time in surgery having their feet extracted from the mouths.
Then I look at the field the conservatives wanted to run and they were still an insult to the American people. The bloviating, blathering, bullying of Chris Christy may play well in NJ, but I guarantee his putrid big mouth does not play well on the national stage. Jeb Bush - WE'VE HAD ENOUGH BUSHES to last a life time. The only person that seemed normal was Jon Huntsman and the base ate him alive.
When a party decides it is more advantageous to destroy the country in order to destroy a President - People take notice. Every time I see the right track/wrong track poll - I keep thinking the wrong question is asked. The question is - who is voting for the right track and who is voting for the wrong track? With Congress's approval rating at "under a rock", and has only been sinking faster than an anchor since the mid-terms, it would stand to reason that the WRONG TRACK became apparent when the Teapublicans took over the house and proceed to do nothing about JOBS, JOBS, JOBS. They have obstructed, obstructed - voted to repeal the ACA 34 times, voted for abortion bills over 194 times and decided not to debate the President Jobs Bill submitted last September/October. They have obfuscated, obstructed and spent a good portion of their time running to Fox News to blather their blatant lies in order to smear our President.
The Teapublicans have been forcing the most invasive, disgusting abortion bills at the state level and have been avidly trying to force those same bills at the federal level. Paul Ryan has sponsored, written and rallied on the most draconian, invasive bills that put the government inside women's bodies. Every Teapublican voted for the Blunt bill allowing employers to pick and choose health care for women - government so small it fits on the head of a transvaginal probe.
The Republican party has spent a good part of three years pissing off seniors, students, minorities, veterans, first responders, teachers, firemen, police - well just about everyone that wasn't born with silver spoon up their ass - HOW IN HELL DID THEY EXPECT TO WIN - UNLESS - they knew they would make an end run around the American public by purging voter registration, voter ID laws (that would make sure Romney wins - so says PA Republican leader - voter id - done - which will allow Romney to win) - ID laws being forced in Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Texas, Arizona, Maine, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia - well, let's just say - ALL TEAPUBLICAN GOVERNED STATES all in an effort to STEAL THE VOTE
and
If Voter suppression, depression doesn't work - well then - THEY'LL BUY IT. The money pouring in from the Sheldon Adelson, The Koch Brothers, Foster Fries is a direct hit to our democracy - AND STILL THEY CAN'T BEAT DOWN OUR PRESIDENT.
And they think a Republican could win in this environment - They can only win - if we DON'T VOTE.
So I guess I would say - GET OUT AND REGISTER AND VOTE - OBAMA/BIDEN 2012

All of the above was: The only people I see trying to destroy the country are the democrats. The people trying to destroy the country enlist useful idiots to further their cause: Sandra Fluke, the 31-year old student who seems to need the American taxpayer to fund her sex life; Joe Soptic, who tried to tie Mitt Romney and Bain Capital to his wife's death (something that happened 6 years after Romney left Bain, and leaving out that his wife had her own medical coverage); various Hollywood actors who are richer than God but want the rest of us to pay more in taxes; and a moronic VP who is stupider than a bag of bricks. No one is being disenfranchised. Just ask all the dead people in Chicago who vote in every election. The best thing we can do to save this country from the current occupants who have no idea what they're doing is to get out and vote: For Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan

First, republicans demanded that president Obama release his birth certificate. When he did, they demanded that he release his long form version. When he did, they began demanding his college transcripts.
Now Obama opponents are demanding to see Obama's arcade game scores, claiming that a real American-born male his age should have spent time in video arcades in the late 70s and early 80s and should have records of his high scores.
They are demanding that old Midway arcade cabinets be opened up and audited to check for Obama's initials on high score lists.
"Any red-blooded American male at that time was sitting around arcades playing Asteroids, Space Invaders, Joust, Defender or Donkey Kong. Even Pac Man cabinets should show evidence of Obama having been there", said Jim Bob Jenkins, President of Pac-rs Against Obama.
Why haven't we ever seen the initials BHO in any high score lists? That's really suspicious.
Every real American guy who was in the country in those years had a high score in one of those games at some point. So what gives?
What is he hiding by not releasing his PAC Man scores? Was he spending his time playing at Jihad instead of Joust? And does this country want a president that never played Donkey Kong in office? "

Right, why don't we just compare the fringe right with the fringe left who accused GW Bush of the 9/11 attacks? The most prominent conspiracy theory is that the collapse of the Twin Towers and 7 World Trade Center were the result of a controlled demolition rather than structural failure due to fire.[5][6] Another prominent belief is that the Pentagon was hit by a missile launched by elements from inside the U.S. government[7][8] or that a commercial airliner was allowed to do so via an effective standdown of the American military.[9][10] Possible motives claimed by conspiracy theorists for such actions include justifying the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq as well as geostrategic interests in the Mideast, such as pipeline plans launched in the early 1990s by Unocal and other oil companies.[11] Other conspiracy theories revolve around authorities having advance knowledge of the attacks and deliberately ignoring or helping to assist the attackers.[3][12][13 The "9/11 truthers" are still spouting their conspiracy nonsense 11 years after the attack. Fatso Michael Moore made a movie about it. Give us all a break. None of your arguments show me that the knuckleheads currently in residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue deserve re-election. The current VP obviously requires serious psychological help and the current POTUS is so enamoured of his own prominence in the world that he proclaimed ".....I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war..." What an absolute egotistical moron.

You've got to be kidding about Vice President, right, because his message is full of hope. The idea that we might work together with rest of the world to combat what we've known for a decade is real--climate change and its devastating effects. We will reach a point where it is too late to do anything about this, and at that point the Earth may longer support life as we know it. How dare he have hope that we would protect the sick, and create jobs for the unemployed? And how dare he talk about ending war? What an asshole, huh?

Sorry, but how exactly does name-calling make your argument stronger? You do know that this kind of verbal abuse is fallacy in debate, right? You seek to denigrate the person as a side-run over dealing with the actual idea. And there is the loss. . It's a trick. an end-run, and doesn't usually work for those who think. Might for those who follow, though. The rest of us aren't afraid to debate issues on their merits, regardless of party. By the way, you never answered these questions, all you did was seek to take the easy way out and oblivate them via name-calling: Does that really work anywhere? Are we not better and smarter than that as a people? Or is all we are at heart political marketing and not individual thought? Is that heresy these days?

Ye gods, your condescention just drips through your screed. If name-calling is restricted only to followers, the democrat party is positively smothered by them in their rank and file. I find Joe Biden to be so ignorant, intellectually lazy and vapid that I find it extrememly difficult to take him seriously. He's been sucking off the governmental teat for over 30 years and wouldn't know how real jobs are created if he spent a month of Sundays on the campaign trail. I've watched him in action in the Senate where he loved to preside over ineffectual oversight committee meetings. C-Span hasn't been his greatest friend. So, my friend, before you try the old leftist trick of trying to dump everyone who doesn't think like you into a "less than intelligent" club, just take a moment to realize that many people have watched Joe and have found him wanting. And not just wanting but pathetic, intellectually barren and a big reason those of us who oppose this current administration are so vocal. Quit trying to demean and belittle those who use colorful language to slap a politician around. Many of them deserve less.
