Yes, we noticed that anomaly rather early on.
Posts consisting only of the smiley or the and punctuation are, as far as I can tell, impossible. They will be automatically converted to the nonexistent
code. This is not true of the other smileys. This could have something to do with the fact that, though all smiley code is case-sensitive, only requires the use of an uppercase letter to function properly. Ask around, someone's sure to know more of this than I do.
