" They killed our history. But they didn't kill those who made it. Their mistake." Here is a place to remember our group history. Please add your memories and stories. We started at the WB Forum. For me, the date was right after the airing of the Smallville episode "Reckoning" on January 26th, 2006. The death of Jonathan Kent in that episode affected me so that I wanted to be with others who had experienced it. So I joined the WB forum, which contained forums for a whole slew of other shows besides Smallville, and a rollicking hilarious main forum made up of some of the funniest, wittiest posters I'd ever seen. It was modded by two of the most amazing people to ever head a forum, WB SuperMods SusieQ and Maxine. There were so many members, that sometimes, particularly on One Tree Hill nights, we crashed the boards. It was beautiful bedlam. But unbeknownst to us, the WB was having financial problems. It was finally announced that a solution had been arrived at. The WB, and another struggling network, UPN would merge, with backing from the CBS network. Our forum would still survive, but it would have to move. The WB Forum moved and became The CW Lounge on September 20th, 2006. We lost a lot of original posters, but many found their way and joined us, and best of all, SusieQ and Maxine, were still at the helm, so things felt the same as before. Except for the fact that we were surrounded by a green goo for the forum colors. More coming. Please add your anecdotes and history, too!

I go back much further than Mistermoonlight. I remember a whole other generation of Smallville posters. Hugepedlar, Bible Thumper, Zarmsway (who started most of the FAQ threads Archiv-El would bump each week and bumped them frequently in hopes of preventing people from asking questions), Author of the World, VersesBatman, Tyrrath, Wwyzard ...
Plus there were many other posters who watched other shows--ThreeBoys, Tagg, IllyriaLover, Best (Verses' husband), Liam, AmericanEagle, ...
And our favorite pests Ppatriotman, Joker and King Possum. The first one annoyed people by trying to save his favorite shows. The other two just succeeded in setting a record for the most bans and the most attempts to come back with new names, until finally ways were found to keep them banned permanently. I go back to when Caroline and Candyce were the moderators. Caroline introduced her istant (back when the word filter took out the first three letters; later it was modified to changed those letters to Hineyrumpus), and later it appeared Candyce took over, later to be succeeded by Susie. I had a lot of trouble with Candyce once she found out I liked Joker and King Possum, so Susie's promotion was welcomed.

I joined the WB boards in 2005. Mainly posted on the Charmed board, but hung out on the main one too. Played the games, watched Susie and Max terrorize...I mean, entertain the lounge members.
Those girls were wicked. Funny, evil, vindictive, and creative. One of the reasons so many people didn't join the new CW site was because of all of the stupid restrictions. Suddenly, people were being banned for the most insane reasons. And I'm talking about perma-bans, not just the temporary ones.
My favorite thread was Lady and the Tramps, where I got to know HiredAssassin, DuckDuckGooseBud, Roryappletarts, TroubledPenguin...and loads more.
One day in the summer of 2006, Susie announced that the WB site was closing...and that we should register at the new CW site. People freaked out...during the last couple of days, the baby mods FINALLY talked to us, saying goodbye. Hard to imagine the time when Gramps wasn't a SuperMod!
The pukey green and pee yellow color of the CW site blinded us at first. After a couple of years, administration toned down the shades. Susie quit in 2007, and Max followed soon after. Things started to SUCK in late 2008, since Alice just got meaner and meaner it seemed.

Wow. I look like a total noob campared to you guys... lol.
I didn't get to have the opportunity to join the first WB forum, nor did I even know it existed. I've never been on the computer unless it was for research and school papers.
I had just found out about the CW website and it sounded cool. I checked it out at the library because I didn't know much about the internet nor did I know I was even allowed. Lets just say my parents were way too overprotective. I was in 10th grade when I checked out the CW for the first time, that was probably 2006 or 2007. And I had never been on the internet other than for research so I knew nothing. When I first joined the CW. I did not think anything about the strict rules because it had been my first and only forum home at the time. That's how I learned about internet safety. I didn't even know to not put my name. Well, that's how I came up with NiChloe in my username. It's actually a personal nickname of mine and I was almost scared one of you would track me down so I was terrified. That's why I wasn't active at first. The Cluper thread and the RPG threads was where I was the most active and the person I knew the most was actually our very own avp60685. I lurked about most of the time, so I do kinda know who SusieQ and Maxine was. As I became accustomed to the internet, I did join a few other forums and the such.
And you guys know the story from there, I made new friends, the cw closed, I joined the wb, then here...
I kept my username because that's how you guys knew me most and I didn't know what to change it to. Plus, I learned recently that it was okay to use my username because my dad found out when he came in to talk to me. I had the CW forums up and had just replied to a post. I knew it was about Smallville and he just chuckled at my name so...
Anyways, that's my history with you guys.

I joined the old WB boards because of the end of Charmed. I made a bunch of amazing friends on those boards and had a user name that I loved but because I had trouble with a few posters I gave it up with the move to the CW boards.
In September 2006 I found the ShipperFree thread on the Smallville board and posted and asked Moon if I was welcome. He was I was as was anyone who was a non-shipper. The SFSF quickly became home for me. Those years sent chatting about new episodes were wonderful and some of my best memories. All the regular posters were there for me when I was awaiting the birth of my first Granddaughter. The support I got after the birth was amazing, I know I was meant to find the SFSF.
I will always be grateful to Moon for starting these new boards. You have given us all a wonderful home. I look forward to many more years of wonderful memories.

I joined the WB boards in the early part of May to June 2004 when I was a volunteer at my old elementary school and I was helping watch this young man who needed to be watched and one of the resource teachers was kind enough to let us use his computer. I immediately signed on and I was one of the original members of the boards and still remember ones like Susie, Maxine, Phoebe, Ducky, and other fine posters. I mention a lot of my history on my blog but I am condensing it for this forum. I joined the CW soon after they started, was banned once which was the first time that ever happened to be and i created the other username brainychick85, I guess you could say I am an old pro at this and the forums are a very comfortable place for me to hang out since I meet and talk with lots of different posters. for being in my life guys and thank you moon for creating these boards and plus letting me a supermod as well! you guys forever

I am not entirely sure when I first joined the WB boards I am thinking it was maybe late 2004 or 2005. Because I remember I was one of the younger posters on the boards (mostly the 7th Heaven boards) and I would post after school usually. Back in the days the of WB days I was known as 7theaveRocks then I forgot my password one then I created a new account as 7theavenRockz. Also I went by Christy then because I didn't really like my name being known online. Then I joined everyone once the switch took place as sweetdreamz924 because I didn't really have a favorite show anymore since 7th heaven was ending and some of my other favorite shows were also ending like Reba, Living with Fran, and Charmed. I then kinda disappeared for a while I guess because I remember not really caring about the CW. Then as time went by I got interested in different shows like Supernatural, Smallville, Vampire Diaries, and Privileged. Now I am here just like everyone else. Over some time I got over being Christy and re-introduced myself as Christina. Yep that about covers it I think. Peace and NCL Christina

We all feel that way. Luckily we had excellent teachers in how to do this. Supermods SusieQ and Maxine wrote the book. Now all we have to do is crib from it. And I miss DuckDuckGooseBud and Phoebe so much.

Second Chapter: Some of us Make it to the CW Lounge
I took the summer off, and came to the CW Lounge shortly after it started in the Fall of 2006. I restarted my "Shipper-Free Smallville Forum thread at that point. A lot of our old posters were there, I was happy to see, but we'd lost some as well. Still, the boards were modded by the legendary SuperMods SusieQ and Maxine, and there were wonderful tales of what went on in the exotic and rollicking Mod Island thread that SusieQ recreated on the main board. The addition of CWModGramps lent a lot of laughs to those posts. All was well.
The End of an Era
At some point, and I don't exactly remember when, but it seems like less than a year, SusieQ and Maxine were let go by TPTB at the CW. Things would never be the same.
