I love ice cream.  There's no medicine available that works for my little bi-polar situation.  And I think that since I stopped drinking nearly a month ago, I'm going to have to find another way to unwind. Sex doesn't work for long, sadly.  |

I have no idea what to do while I am on vacation. Not waking up to an alarm at 4:30 be great if my cat hadn't gotten used to my getting up at that time, so he starts meowing for breakfast and wakes me up anyway. I'd go to Mammoth Lakes for a few days but I can't leave the cat alone.
Guess I'll just go jewelry shopping and spend recklessly for the next two weeks.
That, and order lots of take-out.

SoCal, two weeks off is nice, but the 4:30 a.m. would be a downer. Even if you could think of a vacation where you could take Sam, he probably would refuse to leave the house. I hope you enjoy your time off.
You made me think of the fact that I have not worn jewelry in years, not even my rings. No particular reason except I do not put any on.

Anti, I was never a big jewelry fan until a few years ago. My dearest friend is a jewelry "monster." She love to buy stuff.....expensive stuff (well, she has the money, so more power to her). She got me hooked.
I don't think I go overboard but I like to go to the Zales Outlet and buy some of the discounted stuff. Still can't bring myself to spend $9,000 on a diamond ring, which my friend did many years ago, but a couple of hundred dollars is fine by me.
I like the real stuff because it doesn't turn green or fade or turn my fingers green!

Please continue to enjoy the real stuff. I tossed all of the costume jewelry I located in the house a long time ago. I kept the real stuff to wear when I go to a concert or social event. When I return to the social circuit, I will certainly wear mine.  |
