So you don't watch current shows? Yes I do watch current shows, parenthood, private practice, castle , the mentalist dancing with the stars, real housewives of Beverly Hills.,pretty little liars, the lying game
I just don't have as many current shows I like on these days except for what I listed.. I love Netflix , I get it through my blu ray DVD player and pay$8.00 a month on my Visa card for me its worth it. I understand Melissa.

When did they run 28 episodes in a season? It gives them time to make more shows is why the mid-season break. 60's and 70's. Not sure when, exactly, the networks decreased the number of episodes per season. It stinks, though. I see your point.

You can watch old shows like Smallville and other shows you couldn't watch because you didn't have cable or the channel.

well you have to wait that way it goes. Yeah, but as time passes more shows get added to the TiVo. Eventually it will refuse to add more.

The only thing on last night was The Voice and I mostly fast-forward through that. I don't want to listen to all the chatter, especially when they blindside people with questions like "How will you feel if you don't make it to the next round?"
Haven on Syfy should have had 2 or 3 more episodes, but they had to postpone one because the episode was about killings at Haven High School. I don't know if they will ever show the episode and it really screws up the story line. There have been so many killings at schools that maybe, just maybe, series should not include that in an episode.

I see that SyFy is going to premiere a couple of new series in January. Two of them look good. One is called Continum and the other is called Defiance. It's about time they created new shows instead of showing wrestling. Wrestling?? On SyFy?? I've never gotten the connection except that wrestling is as phony as zombies!

Catch up on newspapers? Do you save yours? I read mine in the a.m. then toss them. But you're right about catching up on taped shows and getting a couple of movies from Netflix. I'm just steamed that shows are off the air for at least 6 weeks. Just as you get into the rythmn of a season, they yank the rug out from underneath you. Makes it tough to remember all the little details from the preceding shows.

I am watching the current season of Burn Notice back-to-back right now. Just taking a break to read some posts. It looks as if there are 5 episodes, then another break. The networks make some strange schedules.
I love having a DVR, but there is no way I can watch everything within 24 hours of recording.

I don't have a DVR yet, I still use a VCR to record some programs. When I called my cable company and asked about adding a single DVR to my current package, they said it would be an extra $22/month! That's over $250 a year just to add DVR service. I'm already paying almost $140 a month for cable and computer service and the only way to get a reduced price is if I allow them to become my phone service as well. I'm going to hold off for a while.
