WHAT? ?? a love interest for Cas? ?? Has the show/TPTB not gone thru this enough with love interests for the guys, do they not realize that very few if any of the fans will tolerate a love interest for Cas? Love interests don't work on this show, and I don't think they will ever be a good thing on the show, that is not what the show is about.

Count me in as not being too happy with Cas getting a love interest.
First Dean, now Cas, and I haven't heard anything about Sam getting one. So, at this point, that means Sam is going to be the fifth wheel or odd man out and I don't like the sound of that.
Either that, or we're going to see/hear that Dean and Cas are out on double dates, or separate dates, and Sam's back, by himself, at the bat cave. And that is something I don't care to see.

Waggy, I hate to say it, but I think it will be worse than that. I am guessing they will devote time to Sam being sick and suffering from the after effects of the trials. I have been avoiding serious spoilers so I am just guessing.

SoCal, Thanks for posting the Crowley/Cas promo, that was funny ;D
I don't want to see any of the guys with love interests and I don't want to see Sam get left behind, his job is to be with Dean doing what they do best.
I am ok with them interacting with others, they need other people in their lives, it helps them grow and mature, but I just can't see this love interest path again, given how bad the chemistry was between Sam and Amelia.

Thanks SoCal. Enjoyed both clips.
Castiel and Crowley certainly remained in character in that first clip.
Did I hear them say Dean will suffer a whole new level of guilt this season? Does he ever get a break?

You're welcome November and AA. That CC clip was totally cute. Both characters made me smile ;D.
Can't believe we're just a little less than 3 weeks until season 9 starts.

ABADDON RISES --- Dean (Jensen Ackles) shocks Sam (Jared Padalecki) by popping open the trunk of the Impala and showing him that he has kidnapped Crowley (Mark Sheppard). Kevin (guest star Osric Chau) freaks out when he sees the King of Hell, but Sam and Dean convince him that they need Crowley to find the demons on Earth. Meanwhile, Abaddon (guest star Alaina Huffman) re-emerges and plans to take over Hell. Guy Bee directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb (#901).

I am glad they kept the original actress who played Abbadon, she is very convincing and in some ways more of a bad ass than Crowley.

Imo, Abaddon is the scariest villain since the yellow eyed demon. Can you think of someone more scary?

I'd have to go with Mark Pelligrino's Lucifer. I haven't seen enough of Abaddon to shift the "evil crown" to her yet. But season 9 may change my mind. We'll see.

I really liked Pellegrino's Lucifer, but I must agree that he was evil hellish, and formidable.

Episode 9.09 of Supernatural will be called "Holy Terror".
We will see the introduction of a recurring character called Malachi. An angel who is amassing an army for a war, and killing those who refuse to join.

I have to admit, one thing I'm a little worried about is Ezikiel being another Benny.
I mean, we know that Ezikiel helps Dean; in Season 8, Benny helped Dean get out of Purgatory. Also, Dean keeps Sam in the dark about how he got better--which probably means Dean doesn't tell Sam about Ezikiel; in Season 8, Dean kept Sam in the dark about Benny.
Call me paranoid, but I'm not coming up with much of a difference between what happened last year and what we're hearing now.
Although to be fair, we don't know when Sam and Ezikiel will meet. And if they meet early on, but Dean just lies about how he and Ezikiel met, I'd be alright with that. NOT that I'd like Dean to lie to Sammy, BUT at least this time Sam wouldn't be blindsided like he was with Benny.
Bottom line, I just don't want this Ezikiel to call Dean up and ask for his help, like Benny did, and for Dean to run off to help him and lie to Sam about what he's doing and where he's going, like Dean did when dealing with Benny.

Waggy, I must admit, I don't care who is keeping secrets from whom. Anything that keeps the show interesting is okay by me. I don't think the Ezekial/Benny connection plays out. Benny and Dean were in Purgatory together for a year, saving each other's ass. I'm sure to the Dean character, that felt like his relationship with Sam. Ezekial, I believe, responds to Dean's prayer to help his brother. From what I've read, this makes Dean beholden to Ezekial. Sam probably would object to Dean's making a deal with an angel to get him better, but it's something they both would do for each other. Anyhow, like I said, I'm up for any storyline that keeps the series interesting. Well, maybe not a love interest, but you get my meaning. To each, his own. Everyone like something different.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: First off, what can you say about the rules of angel possession here? Can Ezekiel come in and out of Sam whenever he wants? How does that affect Sam’s memory? Can he remember what happens when Ezekiel decides to pay a visit? JEREMY CARVER: I would love to answer that question, but I think some of the fun of it is going to be watching with Dean as he addresses just that. I think part of the fun and part of the drama here is learning this through Dean’s eyes, because he’s not even 100 percent sure of how this is going to work. And that’s very much of the episodes to come. So I’d prefer we leave it at that for now.
How are we going to see Sam? He obviously didn’t have a clue that he was being possessed by an angel at the end of the premiere. How long before he — if at all — starts getting a sense that something’s not quite right? Sandra, you’re asking all the questions I can’t answer! That’s all part of the conflict here and for the scenario that’s been set up. I have to defer to the upcoming episodes. I don’t mean to sidestep everything, but you’re hitting on everything we think is so intriguing about this setup. These are all the right questions to be asking; I’d just love for them to be answered on-screen.
Let’s talk about Dean then. Tell me what you can about him and what he’ll be going through in the next episodes. [In the premiere] he made two major decisions that are not only going to affect his brother, but drive the mythology in ways that even he isn’t quite prepared to deal with. In that way, Dean, I feel like for the first time in a long time, is really driving what’s going on here. There’s so much weight on his shoulders because, as far as we know, based on episode 1, he can’t really confide in Sam what’s truly going on here. So I think it’s an extra burden put upon Dean that comes up in [lots of] ways that we’ll see in upcoming episodes. And how it affected Dean is going to be seen in the practical — in how he deals with his brother, who is unaware of what’s keeping him alive — and it just really runs the gamut. It creates humorous scenarios for Dean; it creates some heartbreaking scenarios for Dean. And it’s really very interesting to watch how the character is going to deal with what’s essentially a decision he made.

Since I only discovered SPN towards the end of S5 and have only been part of the online fandom the last year or so, I have a question for some of the fans who have watched since the beginning. Has there always been this kind of interviews and articles and spoilers going around about the show, or is this a more recent development? I started reading articles online about SPN for about a year or so before I broke down and joined the forums, but I don't remember there ever being this many articles, and spoilers for s6, S7 or S8. Can anyone shed light for me?

November, I recommend you go to TheWinchesterFamilyBusiness.com to see how articles and spoiler s have been around almost since the first episode of season 1. It's a good site with pretty accurate info.

SoCal, I thought they had been around for a long time, but I was more curious if it seemed like there had been more the last 2 years, it seems that way to me but I am still kind of new at the fandom.
I do go to the site you mentioned, I like their reviews and the articles they have there, sometime the reviews make me see an episode in a different way.

Here's the official description for the episode which will air on Tuesday November 12.
"Heaven Can't Wait"
CASTIEL GETS A JOB — Castiel (Misha Collins) gets a job at a Gas-N-Sip and actually starts to enjoy life as a human. A headline in the local newspaper about some disappearances in the area catches his eye, so he calls Dean (Jensen Ackles) to help him investigate the case. Dean knows he needs to keep Sam/Ezekiel (Jared Padaleck) away from Castiel, so he tells Sam that he and Kevin (guest star Osric Chau) need to stay and work with Crowley to decipher the tablet. Crowley agrees to help Sam and Kevin but in return he wants one phone call to hell. Rob Spera directed the episode written by Robert Berens.

Thanks SoCal. This is intriguing. So...if Dean needs to keep Sam away from Castiel, he probably lied and told Sam Castiel is leaving the bunker by his own choice or Ezekiel refused to accompany Dean.
I hope Dean takes that opportunity to help Castiel understand what is really going on...if he has not already done so.
Happy to know Castiel will adjust to life as a human, but I want him to get his grace back.

This feels an awful lot like what Dean pulled last year; with the secrets and the running off. At least it's Cas, but still. Dean's just lucky he has a good excuse for leaving Sam behind: Sam can play mediator between Crowley and Kevin. Sam can get the information from Crowley and then together he and Kevin can figure out what it means.

Here is an official description from SpoilerTV.com for the episode I believe will air on Tuesday November 19th; a.k.a the 7th episode of the season. SUPERNATURAL "Bad Boys" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV) YOUNG DEAN - Dean (Jensen Ackles) gets a call from an old friend named Sonny (guest star Blake Gibbons) asking for help with a ghost. Sonny runs a home for delinquent boys, and Dean was sent there for stealing food when he was younger. Sam (Jared Padalecki) is stunned he never knew this about his brother and asks for more information, but Dean dodges his questions. Another murder occurs while Sam and Dean are at the house, so they scramble to find the culprit before anyone else dies. Meanwhile, Dean looks up an old girlfriend (guest star Erin Karpluk) and recalls his time at the house. Kevin Parks directed the episode written by Adam Glass (905). Thanks Waggy. I looked Erin up and she was Monica in "Salvation". I don't know if she will be playing Monica in the new episode.
