Saw a report yesterday that the show will run for a total of 13 episodes. You have to think the ending has already been filmed. How can they possibly stretch it after we know how it ends? Will another dome pop up somewhere else. Don't ruin a good thing by trying to milk it for ratings. That never seems to work anyway.

I think at this point anything would be more comfortable for Angie than continuing to wear the same clothes she has had on.
I'm wondering if the actress doesn't like to wear shoes.
I like the two teenagers.
Junior handled things well at the hospital. But giving Junior a badge is like Andy Taylor giving Gomer Pyle a badge. Fortunately, Mayberry was never in a real crisis.
Julia's name is Shumway, so when are we going to see ALF?

I notice in the clip that the two teenagers actually kiss. I wonder what effect that will have on them. More seizures?
SoCal, if they drop another dome somewhere, I do not know whether I would laugh or cry. But...we still do not know where the first one came from.
I recall Kripke said that on Revolution, the main focus was not on what made the lights go out. The main focus was on the characters.
If TPTB extend this series, they might try a similar philosophy. Idk...just guessing and wondering.

When the two teenagers made themselves have seizures, it was like what happened on "Are We There Yet" when Ice Cube used an annihilator on his 12-year-old nephew. Terry Crews of "Everybody Hates Chris" is the father on that series.

Here is a just posted preview of Rev. Coggins threatening Big Jim.
I am just curious - does anyone like Rev. Coggins or think that he is correct?

I think the good reverend just signed his own death warrant by threatening Big Jim.
...."You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger and you don't mess around with Jim".....
Pardon me for slightly messing around with lyrics, but it seemed to fit. I wouldn't want to be on Big Jim's enemies list.

...."You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger and you don't mess around with Jim"..... I heard that song at the two-year college near where I live. In the lobby of the building where the library is, a TV has the college's cable channel. The video is college announcements, while the audio is a local oldies radio station. If there is a specific program for the channel to air that takes priority. On another site I go to, people don't like this show. When I said I go to a site where ma lot of people do like it, the response I got was that even Honey Boo Boo and the Kardashians have fans.

I do not think Coggins is right either. That fire and brimstone stuff tends to scare people and cause them to panic.

I enjoyed the episode. It showed how the people bonded when they felt the end was imminent.
Phil chose a song whose lyrics were appropriate, but I would want a more upbeat tune at the end of days – party like there is no tomorrow!
I underestimated Big Jim. He did let Angie go and he used a very clever way to get rid of Coggins so that it will not look like murder.
Angie’s five minutes of freedom was cut short by Junior waiting for her – with a gun. It seems that she is now feeling empathy for him.
Norrie certainly has a messed up family. She did not get along with her mommies before the event and knowing about the lies will make things worse. Honestly, though, I do not care about her issues.

The episode left me confused. Why did Angie seem to forgive Junior? I thought sure she would try (and fail) to stab him again. What did Junior mean by he was only "trying to get her better?" Big Jim is really confusing. One minute he's psycho, the next minute he's trying help save people and letting Angie go even though he must think she would tell everyone about his son? Are Junior and Big Jim done? What was the significance of the butterflies? I wonder how big the damage was outside of the dome since the "MOAB" failed to destroy it? What does the military know about the dome? Glad the reverend is dead. He was a little too weird for me and didn't really serve a purpose. Wonder what we're in store for next week?

I think a lot of what we saw was based on the fact that people really thought they were going to die. Junior thought they were going to die; therefore, Angie did also. They were trapped together, alone... I cannot think of any other reason for Angie forgiving Junior. Junior really believes that Angie turned against him because the dome messed with her head. He thought he would re-program her in the bunker. and when the dome disappeared, she would be okay again. Apparently, she had been very sweet to him and they were lovers. Then he told her he was not returning to college and she kicked him to the curb in a very cruel manner. Junior was truly shocked. When someone abruptly changes personality, we look for a reason. Junior decided it was the dome. I decided she was a *** but I do not want her to die. Big Jim was the big surprise for me this week. I would have bet money he would not just let Angie walk away, but he did. I have no idea about the significance of the butterflies. Norrie's analogy was rather creepy. She said maybe it signified the dome was a cocoon and they were all changing into something else. Then Joe reminded her most caterpillars are eaten before turning into butterflies. I do not think any grass will be growing near the dome.

Barbie said that since the DOME was messing with things/ lifecycles/ nature OUTSIDE then the government would not put up with it and try to destroy it.

I missed the significance of the butterflies. Following that discussion, they panned to an image of a butterfly tatooed on Angie's shoulder. I think I was waiting for a connection that was not there.

Right, there might be a connection...they did zoom in on Angie's tattoo for some reason...unless they think you have a shoulder fetish. I don't want to be a party pooper, but this thought has crossed my mind - if water can get through the dome, will radiation from the bomb also get through? Congratulations on becoming Excalibur.

Did anyone else notice in the last episode when Big Jim and the reverend were talking, we could see the wind blowing through the trees? Just how does wind blow inside the dome? For that matter.....why doesn't the oxygen get used up and CO2 build up? Why doesn't it get hot under the dome with the sun shining through a big clear piece of.....plastic? Again.....

I had not noticed that, but after you posed the question, I looked again. Those trees were blowing as if it was a windy day. When the water comes through next week, perhaps there will be discussion about the effects of the dome on the atmosphere inside the dome. I hope so.

I enjoyed the episode. It showed how the people bonded when they felt the end was imminent. Phil chose a song whose lyrics were appropriate, but I would want a more upbeat tune at the end of days – party like there is no tomorrow! I heard that song on the radio Wednesday. It was the first song I thought of when I heard them mention there would be a "last song". For those who don't know it, it's "End of the World" by Skeeter Davis. I underestimated Big Jim. He did let Angie go and he used a very clever way to get rid of Coggins so that it will not look like murder. Angie’s five minutes of freedom was cut short by Junior waiting for her – with a gun. It seems that she is now feeling empathy for him. On that other site I go to, someone said they had no interest in a girl being locked in a basement. Norrie certainly has a messed up family. She did not get along with her mommies before the event and knowing about the lies will make things worse. Honestly, though, I do not care about her issues. On that other site, someone said he would enjoy the show if they'd stick to one plot line and not deal with the characters. In the case of Norrie, for some reason I like her so I am interested in her issues.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but this thought has crossed my mind - if water can get through the dome, will radiation from the bomb also get through? As I recall, Whoever defined it said MOAB was the most powerful non-nuclear device. Though it sure looked like a nuclear bomb had dropped. Wow, that dome is indestructible.

Kyle, that was a good pick-up because there was a tremendous amount of dialogue going on. I enjoy re-watching scenes of this show so I watched the scene again. Barbie said "MOAB-Mother Of All Bombs. That's what we call the largest non-nuclear missile in our arsenal." On that other site, someone said he would enjoy the show if they'd stick to one plot line and not deal with the characters. In the case of Norrie, for some reason I like her so I am interested in her issues. I am probably biased because neither Norrie nor her mommies were in the book. The mommies are replacing other characters who were in the book, but I do not know exactly what Norrie’s role is. I will probably be more interested in her once she stops throwing hissy fits. I am so sick of young folks complaining and throwing fits, I cannot enjoy watching it during my shows.

The Endless Thirst Monday, July 29 10:00 pm/11:00 pm, Only CBS
When the town begins to run low on water, the residents of Chester's Mill begin to fight for the remaining resources. Meanwhile, Julia discovers a strange connection that two of the town's residents have with the Dome.
After the preview, there is a link to an 8-minute comic con panel that gives info on what to expect in future episodes. It is very clear and easy to follow.

The write-up says Julia discovers a link two of the residents have with the dome. I wonder if they are talking about Joe and Norrie. I also saw that we have not met all of the residents so they might be talking about new characters.
