And you can see what Jeff wouldn't have liked elsewhere. I looked at his last 100 posts and I am getting a brain drain. Sorry, I cannot determine what it is, but I will take your word for it.

Me too. Although I record it, I watch it when it comes on.
I am wondering if Linda will let Big Jim boss her around. They might not be in agreement on how to handle the crisis tonight.

On the site where I go where people hate the show, it was announced that it has gotten a second season.
And I forgot to save the link.

The Endless Thirst
People realize now that the dome really is indestructible.
Promises, promises, promises…
Big Jim promised people no one was going to starve, but that did not stop people from turning into a mob.
Barbie promised Officer Linda he would help her without accepting a badge
Junior promised Angie he would take care of her. She thanked him by bashing him in the head with a globe and escaping. After the argument Big Jim and Junior had about Angie, I am wondering if Junior will shoot his father so that he can keep Angie.
Big Jim promised the town on several occasions that they would stick together to get through the crisis. The residents turned out to be much more violent than I had anticipated. Ollie represents the selfish attitude exhibited by a lot of the residents.
I like the way Angie jumped on the man in an effort to help Rosie. After what Angie has gone through, it shows how strong she is. I was really surprised at what happened to Rosie.
Joe and Norrie have a very important role in connection with the dome, but I do not know what exactly. I agree with Julia that Dodee should not mention that to anyone. However, I am sure that Julia will tell Barbie.
Suppositions about the dome:
Dodee, the engineer, thinks “The dome must have its own microclimate. The water from the lake evaporates and the dome traps it inside but the beautiful thing about the evaporation process is it filters the water so you can drink it.”
After Joe and Norrie touched the dome and the screeching stopped, Julia thinks “They are connected to it. It’s like the dome is using them. We could have died today in that missile strike but the dome ended up protecting us. And just when we need water, it rains.***Maybe it’s trying to reassure us.”
I agree with Dodee that there is nothing warm and fuzzy about the dome.

Jeez, Angie just can't keep out of trouble. First Junior then his dad and then the robbers at the diner. Big Jim seems to change with each passing moment: he's gruff; he's mad; he's encouraging; he's murderous. I can't put my finger on his true identity. I did agree with his assessment of his son. Something is seriously wrong with Junior. Wonder what will happen to Ollie's propane deliveries when Big Jim realizes he doesn't need his water? What is drawing Julia to Barbie.....besides his smoking good looks? Has she decided her husband left her and wasn't a good guy and she's ready to move on? What's going to happen when she finds out (an we know she will) Barbie killed him. Is his grave inside the dome? Joe and Norrie are curious. Norrie seems better able to root out people's home when she has never been there before while Joe seems clueless. However their connection with the dome is going to become more apparent, I think. What was that tracking device Dodee was using? Funny thing to have at a radio station. The sudden turn of the town's citizens from killing each other to slapping each other on the back when the rain arrived was a little hokey. What is the dome made of? Does it have intelligence? Why and how was the lake poisoned? So much for catching fish for food! I'm still intrigued.

I don't trust big jim either after all he's done. I'm sick of Angie being controlled by these men! ugh. bad part is everytime she try to run away they are everywhere. Maybe Angie was the most popular girl in school, and all the guys wanted to be with her. Junior did say he was in love with her since the 4th grade. Now that society is breaking down inside the dome, the guys are trying to force their will on Angie. She needs a protector but I would not choose Big Jim because blood ties will put Junior's interest ahead of Angie's.

Why and how was the lake poisoned? So much for catching fish for food! I'm still intrigued. After the way Ollie talked to Big Jim, I bet Big Jim will go out there to collect the propane. Or he could trade for food from the farm, but that would be too sensible. I was assuming the grave was inside the dome because the cabin was, but that is not necessarily accurate. I think the message Julia's husband gave to his sister to give to Julia disgusted her. Yep, she is ready to move on. The way the residents acted prior to the rain makes me think they would form a lynch mob for Joe and Norrie if they thought it would get rid of the dome. I had the same reaction as you when the people started backslapping. Ridiculous! I am still intrigued too.

I'm not sure yet whether I'm happy "under The dome" has been picked up for a second season or not. Originally scheduled for a 13-episode run, I hope they're not going to drag the story out for two seasons as was done with "The Killing." It made for too many "filler" episodes that didn't help the story. And, if I remember correctly, the second season of "The Killing" dropped dramatically in the ratings. Now if they end this 13-episode run with a conclusion and set up a scenario where domes may pop up elsewhere with different effects, I might watch, but not a 26-episode (complete with hiatus) drawn out and filler laden current story. Who knows, I may eat my words but we've been bitten before and I'm a bit of a pessimist.

I think TPTB were very surprised by the popularity of the show and want to milk it as much as possible.
I do want some type of closure by the 13th week.
If they drop another dome during the 2nd season, they should have a contest for fans to nominate their towns. ;D

...then drop it down again...
...a message will appear on it...

I really hate that they killed Rosie.
Angie seems to be about as durable as the dome.
I was relieved when it rained.
I noticed everything was green outside when the connection between the dome and Joe and Norrie was made. I guess that was not the side where the bomb went off.
After I watched this, I was looking forward to some light family comedy, but what I got instead was Ice Cube listening in on our phone calls and monitoring our computer activity looking for terrorists. His niece and nephew were the "terrorists" but I don't think he ever caught them. Meanwhile, his sister was in a jail cell with Joan Rivers for talking back to a cop.

KyleL, I hated it, too, when they killed off Rosie. I liked her. She's probably the one grown woman in the series I did like a lot....and that includes Julia, who is just a littttttttttle bit annoying. As for the "two moms," they should be killed off as quickly as possible. They're adding nothing to the story (I understand they weren't in the book) and I don't get why they're there.

I truly think the only reason Rosie died is because the writer's had Angie tell Rosie about Big Jim...
...and Angie could be bought off...
...and Rosie could not.
So Big Jim could not still run amock in the series if Rosie lived.

Kyle, congratulations on reaching 3000 posts.
SoCal, I would not miss the two mommies if they disappeared. However, Alice is the only doctor under the dome, so eliminating her would pose another problem.
Darwin, I agree that Rosie had to be eliminated after she learned the truth about Big Jim. I wish they had chosen someone else to go instead of her.
Speaking of dying, I wonder who is going to die in the next episode.

I just read (at the Time Warner cable website) that CBS is blocking video content to anyone using TWC for their internet acess. Jeez. That means I won't be able to see UTD at all. AA will have to give me a blow by blow description of tonight's episode.

Oh my goodness! That might be a smart business decision, but it is terrible for the show's fans.
I will have to pay close attention to what happens.
But don't expect it to be unbiased. I am already hating on the PREGNANT woman who TOUCHED the dome. Geezzzz. Maybe I will feel differently after I see why she touched it.

That's because they don't care about viewers....as such. They just care how much money they can get from corporations who buy commercial time. Of course, the ratings have to be good to get good commercials prices. Both CBS and TWC stink.
