The Fourth Hand 8/19/13When Julia tried to show Barbie the mini-dome, it was gone.
Barbie: “Maybe that egg is projecting the dome around us the way a planetarium projector surrounds you with stars.”
Barbie left to help Linda handle a gunshot situation.
Comic relief. Joe wanted to catch a chicken so they would have it for dinner. He told Norrie the one rule on catching a live chicken is: “It ain’t easy.”
Joe’s theory on “the monarch will be crowned” is “I guess someone in here gets to be king…Or it could have something to do with those monarch butterflies outside the dome 3 days ago.”
See the following clip.Notable: Angie told Big Jim she wants to own the diner. He was not happy about that. Blackmail?
Ted Utley accidentally shot his neighbor when trying to run a “freak” off of his property.
Larry (the freak) revealed Coggins sold him the drug “Rapture” out of his funeral home.
Barbie cuffed him while Officer Linda stood by looking beautiful, but puzzled.
“Rapture” is “like every kind of high combined.”
Angie had a seizure similar to the one Joe had.
A female intruder was in Big Jim’s house.
*police cruiser* Angie awakened in the back seat and immediately became hysterical because she thought Junior was kidnapping her. He calmly took her to her home.
*inside Joe’s house* Joe, Norrie and Julia discussed disappearance of the mini-dome.
Angie entered, told them about her experience, and learned 3 of them had the same experience. She removed her sweater and ran to get a glass of water. Norrie and Julia became excited when they saw Angie’s butterfly tattoo.
Norrie: “Maybe she’s the monarch who will be crowned.”
Joe: “My sister? No way! And monarch butterflies are orange; Angie’s is blue and yellow. So, there goes that theory.”
They decide to use Dodee’s contraption, the yagi, to find the mini-dome.
*Jim Rennie’s house* The woman’s name is Max and she came from Westlake to see Jim and got trapped inside the dome. Max is the boss of the operation behind Rapture and she has plans to exploit the crisis in Chester’s Mill. Her philosophy is “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”
*funeral home* Barbie and Officer Linda searched for the Rapture and found it stashed in a coffin. They also found the recipe. Linda never heard of using liquid propane to make drugs. (
She must not watch “Breaking Bad” even though Big Jim stars in it. *laughs*)
*radio station* Dodee has to play DJ while Phil is injured. She told Julia her yagi stopped functioning, but she was not convincing.
*police station* Big Jim proposed collecting all the guns in town – on a voluntary basis. He also thinks that maybe they are no longer part of America and can ignore people’s constitutional right to bear arms.
Barbie told Big Jim he would go with him. Then Barbie told Officer Linda that he did not agree with Big Jim and needed to stay close to see what the hell he is up to.
Big Jim announced on the radio that anyone who turned in a gun would get extra food and extra propane. He was very persuasive and it is easy to see how he became a councilman.
*Joe’s house* Love must be in the air because Joe was showing Norrie baby pictures of himself.
Decision was made to use Truman to track down the mini-dome.
*police station* Linda told Junior they needed to go to the warehouse where the propane is stored. He was leaving with her when he saw Angie wanted to talk to him. Linda was not happy but she is a wimpy boss so she let Junior remain with Angie.
Although Angie is still afraid of Junior, she needs answers about why he kept saying the dome was making her sick. They left so that he could show her something.
See the following clip: Notable: People cooperated by turning in their weapons.
Ted Utley said they would have to kill him before he turned his in.
Truman disappointed the intrepid trio when he did not find the mini-dome.
Linda learned Duke knew about the propane storage.
Junior and Angie visit his mother's old painting studio, where he showed her an unusual painting inspired by a dream.
See the following clip.Notable:
Junior assured Angie he would never hold her against her will again.
Junior said his mother died 9 years ago and she painted a picture showing him surrounded by pink stars.
*Utley’s house* Extended scene where Big Jim sympathized and reasoned with Utley. Big Jim put his own life in danger to prevent Utley’s suicide attempt. Then Big Jim thanked Barbie for not losing it and shooting him in the back of the head.
*warehouse* Linda viewed a video that showed Duke talking to Max.
*painting studio and diner and barn*
See the following clip.Notable: Junior always loved Angie.
Junior and Angie are “connected”, which Junior thinks is a good thing.
Max was Barbie’s boss.
Truman, Joe and Grumpy found the mini-dome.
Maxine demonstrated her authority over Big Jim and Barbie by threatening to reveal their darkest secrets if they don't bend to her will.
See the following clip.Notable: Maxine plans to give residents black market booze, gambling, and drugs to occupy their time.
Barbie and Max had a two-night stand in the past.
*Joe’s barn* Learned Joe brought the mini-dome to the barn while sleepwalking.
*Julia’s house* Julia talks on and on while Barbie is sooooo not listening. He is in deep thought and turned down Julia’s invite to join her in bed.
*Rennie’s bunker* Junior watched his father store some weapons. (I think Big Jim was supposed to take all the weapons to the cement factory.)
*Joe’s barn* Angie, Joe and Norrie touched the mini-dome.
See the following clip…they need the fourth hand.
