XCWModGramps, I agree with you. I love the heartwarming stories and the gifts the employees receive, but the bad employees are very entertaining. Jeff, I agree with your agreement.

They had good employees, and that is the first time I saw a "contestant" get fired. I've seen bosses get fired. I want to clarify the apple juice problem was one I reported to the company that made the juice cocktail. They're the ones claiming they did nothing wrong.

The Dutch Bros. Coffee employees were all motivated and enthusiastic. The boss was wise to send in an alternate at the location where the manager would recognize him.
I wondered if they would address the issue of the manager who did not respect the employees, but they avoided that. However, they did fix the equipment that needed repair.
The boss was very generous.

I thought we had another bad employee but he was just upset with a poor manager.
I don't like coffee (or at lest not caffeien; if I ever tried the really good stuff, it would probably be too expensive and I would like it too much). I don't like perky people.

I don't like perky people. There have been times in my life when I would have random bouts of euphoria. People would look at me as if I was crazy so they probably did not like perky people either. I have learned to control that.

I can watch tonight but for reasons to be made clear on the Kimba Smallville thread, I should tape instead and watch later.

Tonight's show might be clips from other episodes that show when employees recognized the bosses.

I enjoyed watching the bosses talk about their experiences. I always want to know what happened afterwards so seeing the aftermath was nice. It is funny that CEO's can get nervous when they try to do things that minimum wage employees are good at. The fitness guy was very nervous when he tried to take orders for water and tea. I laughed when he said the appetizer was a "tower of fish". What?! The one extremely disrespectful employee was given a second chance and he now seems humble. Very good show.

I was really glad to see Skye do well.
I lost part of what his boss did, because I was in the other room watching "Elementary" when I heard audio from the show. That can only mean one thing: my VHS tape reached the end and started rewinding. I really thought I had enough. So I didn't get as far ahead as I was hoping. I had to sit and watch the rest.

I can't stand it. Another new episode. I don't even know if I have it set to tape.
I really need time to watch all the stuff I have taped. I have all these newspapers to read and even if I finally get a break from TV for Christmas, it looks like I'll have to watch all these shows.

Sometimes the bosses run into a worst nightmare situation that they cannot avoid because they are on camera.
The comments the boss received about the massage lotion smelling awful and the employees refused to use it was awkward. At the end, the boss did say she was sending a team (corporate) to that location.
Her employees were patient with "the contestant". She was very awkward when it came to hands on therapy. I wonder why she did not realize she would be expected to participate. One man was very nice and he should have gotten his massage for free because she did not know what she was doing.
She was very generous to her employees.
When they ran the update clips, it seemed that the lady who wanted to return home only went home for a visit and decided to stay in Florida...after all that weeping about missing her family. I do not understand that part.

Epic Employees (first aired 5/10/13)
I am watching this episode and I must have missed the first half because I do not recall what I have seen so far. Perhaps I tuned in late.
Some of the featured employees have prospered and are very happy.
It has been good so far. The Boston Market employee who got fired on the spot said he has not been able to find a job in the past year. He also said half the people on social media said really mean things about him.

Mohegan Sun Casino
I enjoyed watching this one. Usually I am not interested in the history of the company, but this one grabbed my interest from the very start. Mohegan Sun’s philosophy is to take care of their people and 50% of the employees who started with the company continue to work for them. I was surprised to learn that they have branched out to own casinos that are not on tribal land and Wall Street investors loaned them millions of dollars to do that.
The boss was in his second and last term as Chairman of the casino and he also had obligations as an elder for the tribe. During the episode, we saw a brief portion of a ceremony where he presided over a husband and wife renewing their vows.
The make-up artist did an amazing job of changing his appearance. The boss’ son worked at the casino and did not recognize him when he walked right past him. After that, the boss was concerned his son might recognize him and blow his cover. To prevent that, the boss called and told his son to meet him at a diner. His son still did not recognize him even after he grabbed his son’s arm and spoke to him. The son replied “I’m looking for my father.” That was priceless.
All of the employees worked hard and were very respectful even though the boss was not good at any of the jobs. He did not have the stamina to keep up with the pace.
When the boss revealed who he was and told the employees about the changes he would make in their lives, it was beautiful.

They really put a lot of emphasis on Native American culture.
I watch "The Middle", which is a sitcom. Brick is a character similar to Sheldon on "Big Bang Theory" but still in middle school. He was late for school because he stayed up to watch this show. Another day he was late because he stayed up to watch "Shark Tank".
Both shows are on Fridays. What were the writers thinking?

I though Hudson was the company that owned Target. Anyway, I'm not all that familiar with airports. I haven't even been in one since 9-11. I didn't fly before and I'm certainly not flying now.
No incompetent employees except the boss. It's just amazing how some of those people make it despite obstacles. He sure gave them a lot of help.

My biggest complaint about the Utah Jazz episode is that we didn't see enough of the cheerleaders.
It must be hard to get people excited about the Jazz. The word has no meaning in Utah and I had heard New Orleans, where it would mean something, was going to try to get it back. Instead they're now the Pelicans. Which is good because next season our team gets to be the Hornets again. Lord Cornwallis called Charlotte a hornets' nest, and many of the city's teams have used the name. New Orleans is not entitled to it.

The first "Undercover Employee".
I liked that perky girl who was changed to nerdy. Now she's TOO perky normally, but she did a great job.
I can't believe the black man was recognized.

On Tuesday night, Jimmy Fallon was making fun of The Bachelor and then segued into making fun of Undercover Boss. He mimicked the wigs and mustaches and that the bosses have to pretend they do not know how to do anything. I enjoyed the Jazz episode. The boss was not in good physical shape but he did try to perform the dunking stunt. He did better than I thought he would. KyleEl I did wonder why the team was called Jazz. Undercover Employee was a good idea. I think the manager was really in love with his fiancé because he did not react to any of the flirtatious things the perky girl did. He did not even stare at her boobs when she changed clothes. The woman who recognized the black employee might have watched the episode for their franchise numerous times. I do not know how else she would recognize someone she did not even know.

On Tuesday night, Jimmy Fallon was making fun of The Bachelor and then segued into making fun of Undercover Boss. He mimicked the wigs and mustaches and that the bosses have to pretend they do not know how to do anything. Sometimes they're not pretending. I checked and the episode is not on in its normal slot, so I made sure to tape. But last night I ended up in the middle of a "Survivor" episode when I tried to watch "Jeopardy", so I'm not sure what the results will be. I expect this made some people mad. Fortunately, I was early and last night's episode had not started, so what I was seeing was supposed to be one I had already taped and seen on another station. When I went back to the list the correct episode was recording.

Sky ZoneThe boss totally blew his cover when he quoted the corporate philosophy over the phone to a potential client. The employee rolled his eyes like how would he know that..."If you can walk, you can jump." Busted! He had excellent employees and he was a very generous boss. The 21 year old who had the problems with his hip and legs was remarkable. He had a positive attitude in spite of the pain he suffered.

He had excellent employees and he was a very generous boss. The 21 year old who had the problems with his hip and legs was remarkable. He had a positive attitude in spite of the pain he suffered. He had two hips that needed fixing, not just one. And he had a lot of other problems which make me wonder if some of those are problems I could have had fixed but didn't. Though one surgery was enough. A year later I'm still having pain from the sprain and there are things I can't easily do. I'm not going for physical therapy or going to the doctor because it costs money and I can't get insurance (so much for Obamacare). Actually, I could get insurance, but the medical care would be cheaper. I don't think I can do what he did. On the other hand, even with what he can do he's on the verge of needing two hip replacements. My aunt had one done a couple of years before my accident and a hip replacement was suggested for me, but I thought that was too much. Still, I got out of bed the day after surgery and I have a cousin (who was a classmate of the man who shot those people in the Coloardo theater) who I haven't seen in years who was told about me and said she would have had me walking the first day. I don't think so. A week later I was really having trouble walking. After a month I didn't need a walker except to walk a long distance and two weeks later I didn't need one at all. Shortly after that the doctor told me I wasn't doing exercises (the last physical therapist I saw said I didn't need any once I went home, but he was wrong) and he gave me some to do. I did most of them and occasionally visited a friend of my cousin at the YMCA who wasn't going to charge me for watching me do exercises. She also gave me some new ones to do. In the hospital once they took me off pain medication I only had to ask for pain medication once. I got rid of any pain I had otherwise just by doing the exercises the physical therapist told me to do. In the nursing home I was given Tylenol and aspirin but these were for unrelated problems. People had colds, and I had a fever from not drinking enough. Once I got home, I took Tylenol a couple of times. I took a sample pain reliever that came in my newspaper in August and it made me feel weird. I haven't taken any kind of pain medication since then. I don't do all the exercises the doctor wanted me to do, but the ones I do help some. Some people would take medication for the pain I still have, but I'm just used to it and it goes away a lot of the time.

Now that "Rake" is in the time slot, it's a good thing I have two TiVos. I can't count on an antenna.
There is the possibility that in the future I will not be able to record two shows at once on either machine. I bought one that could and it didn't work with my Internet connection, or at least I didn't get a chance to test it. But even though I was promised all cable would be digital in just days, mine is not. I was told it is, but I'm not sure that machine would have even worked.

Dollar Tree is buying Family Dollar. These are two different chains as Dollar Tree sells everything for a dollar or less. I would think they'd keep the two chains separate for that reason.
