I really enjoy this show and I cannot locate a thread for it. I am very curious about tonight's episode because an employee openly talks about he likes to get high on drugs. Last week's episode about Loehmann's was very good. They had some good employees. One woman was very abrupt and did not do a good job of training, but the boss was still nice to her.

Do you watch anything in particular on Friday night?
I record this show so I can watch it later.

"Donato's" was a feel good episode. The boss was happy with most of the employees.
She was very upset at the delivery man who told her he smoked pot while in uniform, but she gave him a second chance. He had to pass a drug test and she gave him a job in the kitchen.
She was very generous to everyone except the delivery guy.

I like serial cop shows, but I had too many on my watch list. I realized I needed to delete the cop shows so I could watch a variety of shows.
Both Hawaii Five-O and Blue Bloods are exciting.

What kind of cop shows are you talking about other than Hawaii Five-O and Blue Bloods?

I have to watch this live. "The Neighbors" is impossible to watch without taping and I don't know why I didn't tape it in the past. And I benefit from taping "Last Man Standing".
Sadly, once "The Carrie Diaries" and "Raising Hope" are both on, I have to drop this show. I can't even tape it.
Unless my new TiVo works. I just hate having to give up watching TV the way I once did. In today's digital TV world, losing the remote is a tragedy.
The TiVo may work for analog, though. And no one has threatened to take away my analog cable.

So now they feature bad employees every week?

I think it is realistic that some of the employees are not excellent, but I still think they would behave knowing they are on a reality show.
I do get vicarious pleasure from watching the bad employees.

When they know they are on reality tv is when they act up more.

But some of them act like how they really are in person.

I agree with you there too. Since they think the show is about the other person, they do not need to pretend anything.

This is my last night. I'm just not willing to risk watching either this show or the ABC comedies with an antenna. My ABC affiliate (on the TV with an antenna) has often had excellent reception, but in the digital TV era a small problem can be a big one.
And I can't watch "The Neighbors" without taping. I just miss too much.
The TiVo that I thought would provide a solution won't work until certain upgrades come from the cable company. I'm told that will happen soon. Upgrading before I have to might be expensive but I'll look into it.
Edit: We know it'll be around for reruns.

"Menchie's" is a yogurt franchise similar to an ice cream parlor. I do not think there is one in my area but they have a lot of stores.
I enjoyed this episode because it had interesting stuff I have never seen.
As Kyle mentioned before, this episode also had a bad employee. As I watched the bad employee, she reminded me of some women I have worked with. It makes me wonder if the supervisor/owner of that particular store ever watched her work - her attitude really sucked.
The other employees were fun to watch and they had to do some unusual things I did not even know people did.
I don't want to go into detail in case you do get a chance to watch in the future.

Next week "Masterchef" is on so I get at least one more.
That one bad employee did apparently get a chance to redeem herself.
I was reading the show producers decide what locations to use, so apparently they're going in search of bad employees now.

Thanks. Now I understand why some bad employees are shown. I had wondered why they did not choose the best locations.
I noticed the bad employee did not receive any gifts. I guess he was too frustrated with her.

I guess he was too frustrated with her. Why should she? I don't think it's possible for them to actually know where the bad employees are, but there's no other explanation unless they got lucky. I was unable to solve my problem with recording shows (see Kimba's Smallville thread) so this is likely my last night for awhile. Depending on how long Amazon takes to ship (if I go with the cheapest option) it might not be next week before I solve the problem.

Oh...I do not think the bad employee deserved to receive anything. When I looked at the "what happened later" comments, she had quit.
I hope you get the TiVo working the way you want.

The first bride was gorgeous. I thought the man might be gay but he is married with kids, and that usually means no. He was a lucky man getting to help that woman put her dress on.
Some of those women didn't have the body for strapless.
The fashion designer seemed gay. I feel sorry for men in his situation, and gay judges of beauty contests.
I sent the TiVo back and am waiting on a new one. You can read about it on Kimba's Smallville thread. The short version is I didn't have the type of Internet access that would guarantee it would actually work. Upgrading wouldn't be worth the money.
I have at least one more week. I checked next Friday's shows.

The Alfred Angelo employees were nice even though most of them did not think the "contestant" was doing a good job. I think the boss' disguise was pretty cool. Most of the disguises look strange.
I agree the first bride was lovely.
The bride that he had to measure would have looked better in a gown with straps to hold the bodice up. He was having difficulty trying to measure her without touching her. Poor guy.
The fashion designer did a good job, but I don't know how he wound up working for a bridal shop. After he goes to school with the money they gave him, maybe he will just design clothes for them like for the bridemaids.

Family Dollar is a local company. I pretty much quit shopping there after they refused to stop selling a product called "Apple Juice" which was just a brand name. In smaller print it said "apple juice cocktail". In very very small print it said 25 percent juice. The last tme I checked it was down to 15. I wrote the company and they said they weren't doing anything illegal. I did report them to the FTC or whoever.
It is not a dollar store. Dollar General is not either.
I can keep watching because the show I thought would be on at the same time will be on at 9, not 8.

I forgot to mention that the Alfred Angelo employee who was deaf had a very positive attitude. She said when she was younger she was upset about her disability, but she now accepts it and is happy.
There is a local Family Dollar in my city and you are right that it is not really a dollar store. The stores do look similar to the one the boss went to.
They had good employees, and that is the first time I saw a "contestant" get fired.
The boss was very generous to all of the employees.

I enjoy this show as well although I do not watch it all the time.
I believe they target under preforming locations and find the "bad employee's". Probably the reason they are under preforming.
