This should be a good one.

I don't know whether I have a TiVo set to record this, but I'm glad you mentioned it.

Buffalo Wings and Rings was a good episode so I was determined to keep searching for it so I could watch the second half. I set the episode to end an hour later, but the recording stopped at the regular time. I just watched it online on the CBS site.
The CEO talked about the strong culture he had developed for the franchise, but when he visited two of the sites, supervisors were awful bullies. It has to be embarrassing for his franchise to be portrayed that way. Locally, we love Buffalo Wild Wings and it amused me the way he got upset at being compared to that franchise.
He became so upset at the way he was treated as an employee, he gave up and said he could not continue. The supervisor was absolutely by far the worst supervisor I have seen on the show or anywhere in my personal life. He was ten times ruder than Donald Trump.
The boss was generous to the good employees, but he did not tolerate the behavior of the bullies.

I started watching it again. What did you think of the way the kitchen supervisor talked to employees, saying things like "he has a man-gina"?

The one supervisor was far worse than the other one and he deserved to go because he wouldn't even apologize or make any effort to change.
I've seen the other one since I last posted here. Bridget, or whatever her name was, was so cute and of course so professional. I'm glad she gets to do training videos.
I couldn't believe that one guy who was almost blind could do his job so well. I'm glad he got the surgery.
And the man who didn't even work for the company but supplied their icing. What a character!

Last night's seemed familiar, but then they showed a clip of the episode I was thinking of.
Shar was such a sweet girl but they didn't indicate she stayed with the company. She seemed older than 20. It's shame for them to lose any good employees. I'm glad the man acted on all the problems he found. The uniforms were pretty, at least, but I guess you don't want that many after back to school.
I couldn't believe he gave that one woman so much money, but it's still going to be hard for her to take care of someone. I can't remember whether it was her husband or her father.

The boss had no idea the stores had all of those problems. I think it is an excellent idea for the bosses to visit all of the stores and he would have recognized some of those problems even if he was not undercover. I wonder why the district managers had not handled some of it and I am sure he had a nice meeting with those managers. I admire the boss for contacting the managers to handle the problems immediately - without breaking his cover to the employees.
I do not know how anyone can support a family while working part time at minimum wage. They are amazing. The lady whose father was ill was given $100,000 to help her take care of him. The elderly lady had a sick husband and she wanted to use her money to take him somewhere he wants to go while he can still travel. The pregnant lady moved back to her family. They did not say if there is one of the stores near her.
The boss did not run into any awful employees.

No big bosses know what really goes on in their stores, they don't care because they making a shit load of money and cashing in on it all.

7.04 Muscle Maker Grill (1-8-16)
I never heard of that franchise before this episode and I think it is a unique business. I am surprised they have so many customers but I suppose people trust them to serve the best amount of protein and calories based on what they are trying to accomplish. I was hoping they would mention the prices, but I did not hear any.
I agree with the financial boss who said the staff should be professional, but I could tell that the other boss liked the way the overly friendly girl hugged customers and flirted. She said that was a way to get bigger tips, but I do not know why anyone would tip someone who hands them an order over the counter. Should we start tipping the cashiers at McDonald’s?
My goodness, I know the franchisee who changed the menu and the names of the entrees thought he was in big trouble. He was fortunate the boss handled it in a kind manner. I have noticed a trend where the “best” stores are not following protocol. In those instances, the boss has a burden to keep the good employees while helping them to adjust.
The delivery guy was very enthusiastic and I think his job is tough because he has to travel to various towns in less than an hour. It helps that he grew up in the area.
The food truck employee was very organized and I think she was patient with the boss. I expected her to tell him to step aside so she could take the orders when people were waiting awhile, but she did not.
There are too many jobs that do not provide steady income.
The boss was generous to some of the employees, but there was a wide discrepancy in the gifts.

I think the man who changed the menu should have been given more of a chance to introduce his ideas throughout the company.
Have they ever had an employee not show up for the final reveal? They didn't get a chance to try to keep her.
I agree about being professional and not flirting. No, there's too much tipping. I don't tip even where there are regular waitresses. Everything already costs too much. That's at the cheapest restaurants.
I didn't like the founder. Too macho.

I agree the man should have been given a chance to introduce his ideas and that was one of his complaints. However, he was so nervous when realized what he had said to the boss, he did not dare to bring that up. Good point. The young lady did not show up to give feedback about the contestant or she might have been enticed to remain. I have become more and more frustrated with tipping. I am going to try to get a list of restaurants in my area that do not allow tipping. Yeah, the founder was too macho. I bet he was only being nice on camera because he seemed like he would be difficult to work with and would not sincerely consider someone else's opinion.

Yeah, he said all of the employees would recognize the muscle guy. And I think the muscle guy had an easily recognized voice.

I haven't done a web search for it but there was a hilarious parody of this show on "Saturday Night Live". The boss was a "Star Wars" character. If no one else finds it I'll post a link when I do.
I've already forgotten what happened, but I did see it.

YESCO. That's right. They do those great Las Vegas signs. It was sad to see the junkyard for all the signs that are no longer in use, but I'm glad they have sort of a museum.
It's amazing how people's health can be and yet they're still working. And at least one son followed his father into the business. I'm not certain I'm not mixing this episode up with another one.

YESCO (1-15-16) was okay but not very eventful. I have a fear of heights and I would not have been able to overcome it to stand on the scaffolding like the boss did. All of the trainers were patient with him.

Did anyone see last night episode yet? Yes, I saw it and it was very good. 7.06 Gerber Group (1-22-16)
I thought it would be about the baby food company, but it was about bars. Scott Gerber, the boss, had a fantastic make-over and it looked natural. I mention that because some of the stylists make the hair look stupid. The yellowish teeth were a nice touch because I bet all of the bosses have perfect teeth. He was very smart to have his brother and another guy stand in for him at places he would be recognized. Some other bosses have had their cover blown. Episode details:Kara was the first server he worked with and she was very nice to him although she could tell that he was not doing a good job of carrying the drinks (martinis) or knowing how to chat with the customers. He gave her $30,000 to help herself and her mother. She paid off her student loans and bought a brand new car. ----- Casey remarked “Hopefully, we will have some mountain men come in today that can relate to him.” She explained to the boss that popular drinks are different for the north and the south, but Corporate insists that the drinks be consistent.
On a personal note, she said her mom’s male picker is a little off and she was not comfortable around him so she moved out of the house at age 17. She never explained what a “picker” is. She loves her niece, but I got the impression that “picker” soured her on men and she did not plan to have any children of her own.
The boss agreed to let the bartenders propose special drinks for different areas. He gave Casey $50,000. She paid off her debts and started a college fund for her niece. ---------- Nick, the sous chef, was impressive. He had a great attitude and did not mind working 80 hours per week. Rather than talk at length about not having creative freedom, he talked about the suggestion he made that was accepted. He was able to be positive in spite of suffering from depression and an emotionally abusive father.
Scott’s brother, Jay, did an excellent job as the “contestant”. He asked the right questions in a casual manner that did not raise suspicion at all.
Nick was promoted to executive chef at a brand new restaurant and was given a $25,000 signing bonus. They said he was ready in record time to showcase his skills on opening day. --------- Kia: Scott must have felt really guilty about Kia, the bartender, not being able to attend the funeral because he gave her a $201 tip and she remarked “He just made my day.” She said the company was homier when Scott’s father was alive because he visited the bars frequently. He gave her $20,000 and promoted her to manager.

Yeah, I expected the baby food company too.
The whole episode made me uncomfortable because I just don't like that high energy night life concept. I enjoyed watching the boss mess up, where he could. And when he couldn't participate then I enjoyed watching his brother not do everything right. or did he? I just don't remember. And when he had to be a customer I liked how they handled it.
