Hancock was a real jerk. But he eventually came around.
I got to see Charlize Theron twice in one day and in both movies she was hot. In "Trapped" she was in her underwear.

In "Taxi", starring Queen Latifah, she and another bicycle delivery person are wearing something that says "kryptonite" on it.

In the movie "Supergirl" we see a poster of Christopher Reeve dressed as Superman when Helen Slater/Linda Lee/Supergirl/Kara asks Lucy who it was and Lucy tells her about who he is

I just looked at the TV listings for this weekend and my CW station is airing the "Chun-Li" movie on Sunday. That stars Kristin, right?

There were two movies that fit this topic. One is quite a stretch. "Lions for Lambs" starred Robert Redford as a college professor trying to encourage an apathetic student played by Andrew Garfield, the new Spider-Man.
I liked the "Chun-Li" movie. I'm not a fan of action movies, but I really enjoyed watching Kristin beat up the bad guys, even though it was mostly a stunt performer doing the fancy stuff. One of my favorite scenes had the villain's henchmen getting ready to kill her. One said she was not in a position to negotiate. She said, "Not yet." And before we knew it, she had escaped.
The people on "Smallville" taught her well!
One thing that bothered me: she looked so Chinese in a lot of her scenes. And in other scenes she looked as white as Lana. And the young Chun-Li was played by a more Chinese-looking girl. But her mother was white and even looked like Erica.

What I didn't like about the scene where KK "wasn't in a position" was that she was helpless when doing something might have saved her father's life (which had been her prime motivator for most of the movie), but a moment later, she was up to making smart alec comments and getting out of her bondage. It is amazing to think that someone with her apparent weight could have any effect when throwing herself against the opponents she went against.

And KK's father is Dutch, but I don't think "Dutch" pins down his racial make-up. Doesn't matter to me. What I noticed the most in the movie was the differences in the bags under her eyes -- sometimes they were very dark and prominent and other times they were barely noticeable.
I still haven't seen the movie where she plays a girl in Afghanistan. Maybe the CW will show it as the time comes closer for the premiere of "Beauty and the Beast."

Extended preview of "Beauty and the Beast." I am so disappointed. It's going to be a cop/super hero show ... not even a shadow of the poetic series it's a remake of. The beast is handsome ... so there is no subtext of what true beauty is. That strips the heart out of all other versions of the story. It still has the "what is a monster" theme but not the "what is ugly" theme is gone.

That's a good point. You could say it's like the woman who lifts a car off her child but then she didn't develop that super ability until afterward when all she could do was get revenge.

In "Evolution" a meteor crashes on Earth and a liquid substance starts evolving into organisms. The military see this as a real threat, while the science professors who discovered it, one of which is played by David Duchovny, take a more logical approach. The entire country would have been taken over by the creatures in a matter of days, and the military solution would have hastened this. The science professors used shampoo.
"Zoom" stars Tim Allen as a washed-up superhero. He is not told, but his brother who he thought was dead is coming back. How they know this I don't understand. But he is a supervillain who must be stopped. So kids with super powers are found to be trained. Since Tim (Captain Zoom) can't do it, they're going to subject the kids to the radiation that made the brother evil, took away Captain Zoom's powers, and killed the other members of the group.

In "Company Business" Mikhail Baryshnikov was a prisoner who Gene Hackman (Lex) had to hand off for The CIA in Berlin just after the Wall came down, but then something went terribly wrong and they went on the run. Baryshnikov wore a "Gorbyman" jacket where Gorbachev looked like Superman.

Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) was the governor of Vermont on "Super Troopers", and the movie "The Butterfly Effect" had time travel.

A local movie reviewer said "The Dark Knight" was the best superhero movie ever made. Its sequel, obviously, is not as good, he said.

I saw Dean Cain in "Aussie and Ted's Great Adventure". It's a family movie, mainly about a dog.

Sunday was a big day for "Smallville" fans in my area.
At noon "Sorority Boys" (Michael Rosenbaum) was on the CW affiliate. I had seen it so I didn't watch. At 3 on the former WB affiliate (now My Network) "Cheaper by the Dozen 2" was on. Tom Welling ran to his sister's graduation. It was weird because he appeared to be running like a normal person when you expect him to be going really, really fast. He was also quite clumsy which was also weird because while Christopher Reeve made Clark clumsy, Tom's Clark wasn't.
I had the chance to see "Cheaper by the Dozen" several years ago on Fox, but there were just so many shows on at once that I was having to tape. And then it was on again and things weren't any better. I still haven't seen it.

I have the Cheaper by the dozen movies on DVD, the first one was really good but the second was just lousy.
I remember reading the book of Cheaper by the Dozen and it was hilariously funny, the second "Bells on their toes" was not too bad just a bit different paced after the father died.

"Alien Trespass" has aliens, one of which must save the Earth from the other one. He has no super powers as such but does have gadgets. The other has superpowers, sort of. Luois Febre did the music, which reminded me of "Smallville", and the hero's wife is named Lana. Though he's not actually the hero. The alien took over Lana's husband's body.
"Spy Kids 3" is an action movie about a video game, and inside the video game world, the players have super powers.

Oh yes I remember Spy Kids 3 and I really hated that movie because it sucked big time, the only good character in that movie was the grandfather.

Terence Stamp (Jor-El on TV, Zod in the movies) would have replaced Hitler in "Valkyrie" had Tom Cruise's assassination attempt been successful.

Christian Bale was sort of a hero in a movie called "Reign of Fire" where dragons had destroyed most of the world. Matthew McConaughey was the real hero because he knew how to destroy them. No super powers. Just gadgets. Just like when Christian Bale is Batman.

In "Godsend", a boy dies and is cloned. After he reaches the age where the first boy died, he turns evil. He even seems to have memories of his past life.
The same thing happened to clone Lex, except he aged faster than this boy did.

In the movie Artficial Intelligence, it had a young robot boy who wanted to become a real boy and it tells of his journey in getting there, he has misadventures like going to the nightclub scene and more, reminded me a bit of Clark when he was on Red Kryptonite and was hanging out in those nightclubs in Metropolis!

I saw a movie with a couple named Clark and Lana. Their names weren't mentioned a lot. They were mostly called Grandma and Grandpa.
It was "A Christmas Too Many".
Mickey Rooney was Clark. Also, the couple had split up.
