I watch movies on broadcast TV most weekends and tape some to watch later since they sometimes air at the same time as something else I'm watching or just at a bad time.
I saw "The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising". A 14-year-old boy finds out he is the chosen one who will rid the world of the Darkness. Instead of 10 years of hour-long episodes, it took him 2 hours to learn how to defeat the Darkness.

I watched "Tuck Everlasting". A teenage girl falls for a boy who it turns out wil never age. She must decide whether to drink from the Fountain of Youth as everyone in the boy's family did. Sadly, the boy's brother lost his wife and children who did not.

Oh, and when I went online to see how the movie was regarded, it seems a lot of people complained it wasn't close enough to the book.

Brandon Routh starred in "Table for Three". He was going through a breakup and had to find a new person to share his two-bedroom apartment with. He ended up with a quirky couple. By the end of the movie he wanted to strangle them, though they did help him fiund where his new girlfriend had disappeared to.

I saw "The Punisher". I don't like seeing John Travolta as a villain, unless he's cool like in "Broken Arrow". That wasn't the case here.
The Punisher had no super powers but knew how to use weapons and fight. It was clear at the start this was a comic book.

James Bond and Indiana Jones remind me a little bit of Clark Kent but James Bond reminds me more of Lex Luthor than Clark

"Heist" starred Gene Hackman (Lex).
I have a further comment on the "Once Upon a Time" thread.

I have a joke from the "Heist" movie. It wasn't exactly like this, but close. Hackman wasn't in the scene but his partner said he was in Vietnam.
A man carried a Bible wherever he went. The others in his unit made fun of him for being so religious. Then one day he got shot and the Bible stopped the bullet from reaching his heart.
Now if he had a Bible in front of his face, he might still be alive today.

The Power of One was a movie that reminded me of Clark Kent because he was an orphan and he was mistreated by his peers and he became a boxer and a born leader in speaking out against injustice and he lost a lot of the ones he was close to like his fiance' and his mentor.

One of the X-Men movies airs this Sunday on the CW station. Or maybe it's Saturday. One of the two.

Hercules reminds of me Superman as well because he was a hero sent to Earth by his father and he longed to be with those he loved but he was bound to Earth to face and overcome many trials until Zeus called for him to be with him forever

"X-Men: The Last Stand" was the third in the series.
I didn't really like it. Too much superhero stuff.
Shawn Ashmore (Eric Summers, brother to Jimmy) was in it, but I didn't recognize him.

Shawn Ashmore was in another movie I saw--"Underclassman", where Nick Cannon went undercover as a high school student to solve a murder. Shawn's character was a popular kid, stealing cars because his headmaster was blackmailing him. I didn't know him.

I saw "Blade II" but didn't care for it. It is apparently a Marvel character.
Kris Kristofferson was in it. And Ron Perlman was funny.

"Meet Dave" starred Eddie Murphy in two roles. He was a spacecraft the size of a normal-sized human, dressed like Mr. Roarke and Tattoo, as well as the captain of the tiny aliens who made it appear to be human.
At the beginning they were planning to steal the Earth's oceans to save their planet, but they found out what good people Earthlings are.

"Superman Returns" was on cable but I don't have cable. I can receive the channel, but I'd rather not watch where it looks like distant channels did in the days of analog TV. Only the broadcast channels, some shopping channels, government channels, a news channel, TV Guide Channel and WGN America come in as perfectly as I want. Any more would cost way more than I want to spend.
What's amazing is that this movie gets three and a half stars. I heard mostly negative reviews on the CW board.

I watched it only once and I have to admit that the story is a bit off and it doesn't fit well with the Superman story, I just bought a book on Saturday called the Life and Death of Superman which is based on the comics, I'll let you know how it is

SUPERMAN RETURNS is horrible!!
no one wants a sequel to a movie from the 70's.... and would Superman REALLY leave Earth for years to sit and sulk about a dead Krypton?
not to mention Lois being pregnant and having a brat after he left. how trampy is that?!
sure it was Clark's brat, but still...
let's hope the NEXT reboot is better....

You left out Moses, and the 'found baby.
While Superman Returns wasn't all I wanted it to be, after 19 years of waiting for a new Superman movie it paid off in spades with some of the most astounding action scenes ever--the airplane rescue at the beginning of the movie had everything in it that any Superman fan would ever want to see. Likewise numerous others, such as Superman flying and wiping out the falling glass with his heat vision, the bullet bouncing off his eye, and that magnificent shot where he flew above the clouds into the sun.
Where it didn't hang together was the actual story. No one wants to see an emo Superman. And Bryan Singer, although his motives were in the right place, spent way too much time honoring Richard Donner instead of creating something new that was his own.
I'm a HUGE fan of Kevin Spacey, but his role as Lex Luthor was based too much on Gene Hackman's performance, and that's not all his fault, as that's the way the part was written. However, he's responsible for suggesting that Kate Bosworth play Lois Lane, and both she and the part were way out of character.
I went to see the movie twice in the theater and own it on DVD, however I don't watch it all the way through when I view it now, the movie just doesn't hang together well enough for that. I watch certain scenes that were extraordinarly well done and leave the rest.
Singer was wise in ignoring the continuity from Superman III and IV, but essentially what we got was a movie not as good as Superman I or II, but better than III and IV.

horrible movie!
1. Superman wouldn't abandon Earth for a decade! 2. Superman wouldn't have a brat out of wedlock...
the movie just didn't feel very truthy to the character.
why people are so loyal to movies that are basically cigarette commercials is anyone's guess...
