Paige co-hosts "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials" tonight. Thanks. I ran downstairs to record it. The schedule indicated January 27 and I set it to record midnight January 28 so that it will not interfere with my usual programs.

Pretty good. I don't know why it's so enjoyable to watch her be smarter than Boomer Esiason. Not that football players are supposed to be smart.
The series was renewed!

I watched and enjoyed it. I would have missed it if you had not mentioned it. The puppy commercial was very cute, but I saw a blip on the news that one of the puppy commercials scheduled for the Superbowl received protests and will not be shown. They probably did not show us that one.
I am so glad the show is renewed. I like this show so much that I watch the episodes twice.

That was hard to watch. I don't like seeing them in that much danger or getting treated that way. Paige didn't seem to be traumatized by it. She handled herself well before they almost killed her. And she looked great. It was pointed out how valuable she is.
Sylvester was Sylvester but when he was forced to act, he could. At least he was funny.
Toby and Happy are starting to seem like a couple. I'm amazed how they were able to get that Japanese ship tof ire missiles so fast. And once again, it was just in time.

Yes, I bet it was hard to watch. It was both an exciting and a humorous episode. It was Valentine’s week and Ralph, Sylvester, Toby and maybe Walter had dreams of a valentine. Sylvester, Walter and Paige went on a cruise, but it was not romantic. I loved the fireworks message Toby created for Ralph’s love interest. It was illegal but very sweet.
Toby almost kissed Happy but he was interrupted by a teacher saying she had called the police, but I was glad Happy held his hand. His puppy-dog expression has to melt even the hardest heart.
Sylvester had a card for Walter’s sister and left to give it to her.
Walter changed his mind about taking Paige to dinner and I think she was disappointed. However, Walter does need to consider what his ex said about no woman can hold his interest forever. His brilliant mind would make that difficult, but if he has a spiritual connection with Paige or someone else, it would last. I like the song they played when Walter broke the date. I looked it up and it is titled "Over the Creek" by George Ezra. He talks about being messed up and the woman's situation must be dire if she is contacting him.
I am not in a hurry for Paige and Walter to connect, but I do want Toby and Happy to connect. I think they would have some amusing spats.
Case of the week:
Cabe and Walter chose Sylvester and Paige to act as a married couple and accompany them on a mission aboard a cruise liner. One of Sylvester’s many phobias is fear of water and he cannot swim so, of course, he did not want to go. They were supposed to board the ship, infect the missiles with a virus and then leave the ship. The mission started to fall apart almost immediately and they were stuck on the ship.
Walter was unable to complete the task of infecting the missiles because the villains were threatening the lives of the ship’s passengers. It became nerve-wracking when one of the missiles was launched at a rescue helicopter. Happy and Toby tried to hack a nearby Japanese ship to send an intercepting missile but they were not that good at hacking. Then we saw that the kid, Ralph, had taken over and was able to destroy the missile that almost hit the helicopter. It was a close call. After several escape attempts and capture and some fights, Walter wound up with the villains and the missiles in an emergency flotation vessel. Sylvester made a heroic jump onto the vessel and tipped everyone into the water. That was dangerous but our guys and the main villain survived.
On the lighter side, the person Sylvester was impersonating liked exotic food and the captain had those dishes prepared especially for him. He had to eat frog’s leg and snails which he obviously found to be disgusting.

I like Walter and Paige together and I noticed Happy and Toby were closer to being a couple than they had ever been, but I don't like the idea of them together. I had forgotten Sylvester also had someone.
When dissecting frogs in school, I remember thinking that their legs looked like they would be good to eat. But I've never tried anything like that. We had escargot when my French class went to a restaurant and if Sylvester's was anything like that, knowing how he was already feeling, I really felt sorry for him. Everything in that restaurant tasted awful (okay, not the chateaubriand) and I remember being surprised when my classmates actually went to those restaurants voluntarily after that experience.

Poor Walter. He was excited when an interview he had done was being aired and brought the team together to watch it. The interview gave Walter credit for his brilliance but made the rest of the team sound less important. The interviewer also described the other team members functions incorrectly.
The case they worked on brought them into a lot of unexpected danger. It was even more difficult because most of the team was angry with Walter.
I am sleepy so I will post more tomorrow.

Wow, they get into some dangerous situations.
I think we can all be grateful this show isn't very realistic.
Paige really showed how valuable she can be. I had forgotten or didn't know she went to college, and now we know she really is as smart as she seems. There was something I wanted to say about the taco truck but I can't think of it.

"Once Bitten, Twice Die" was an exciting episode. I must admit that while watching it last night, I became annoyed and turned it off. I thought I would enjoy it more when I was not tired and I did. I like the invention Walter used for the background and it seemed like something the scientists would create on "Flash".
The scenes with Walter in the snake exhibit gave me chills and it seemed like an extreme measure for him to take to help another country. If Paige had fallen down a cliff, I do not believe she would have let go of the ferret, so I did not like that. I agree she is very smart and returning to college is good for her.
Now I really want to know what Cabe is hiding from Walter.

I thought it was cute the way Paige flirted with the man at the museum, though she wasn't with him at the time her behavior suggested she would be.
What they do on this show sometimes does seem extreme. They believed they were stopping World War III, which kind of justifies it. But it does bother me to see them take such risks.

I enjoyed this episode because it had thrills, chills and humor.
Toby: He is a romantic and made an analysis (putting cinnamon in coffee) to prove to Walter that he has feelings for Paige. Of course Walter refused to admit it. --Later, Toby and Happy made a wager and if Toby won, they would have dinner, but if he lost, he would do Happy’s laundry for a month. Happy said since he is a perv, he would probably enjoy doing her laundry. --When the helicopter was going to crash, Toby unbuckled his seatbelt to shield Happy’s body with his. That irritated her. --It was really funny when Toby told her he loves her just as the fire suppressant was sprayed in his face. I like the last wager he made with Happy.
Walter: Rather than risk Paige getting hurt, he sent her out of the helicopter before himself which was contrary to what Sylvester told them. --Walter had a close call when the helicopter fell within inches of him and I was thinking Cabe would have been very upset if he had seen that. --Walter often seems fearless and swung across the ravine without hesitation. --Walter was brilliant and funny when he took the guy’s engagement ring and said congratulations to the lady. --It was sweet when Paige and Walter touched fingers when it seemed they might not make it out. --Walter erased the white board but stared at the cartoon drawing as if it pleased him to think of Paige and him together.
Happy: Calculated eastern direction with a watch. --Happy is the most physical and mechanical and rigged a rope for them to swing across the ravine, but it was a little scary because of the 50 foot drop.
Sylvester: I think it was appropriate he was stuck with the grumpy military guy, someone who would not coddle him. The guy was tough…he did not even whimper when they put the tourniquet on his leg and that had to really hurt. --Thank goodness Sylvester is smart enough to know the airplane door would protect them. --Although Sylvester suffers from a lot of fears, he does work through them in order to help people. He carried the man on his back even though it could slow him down enough to get trapped in the fire. --That was a nice scene when the man told Sylvester he would be proud to call him son.
Cabe: I was glad Cabe found a use for Walter’s invention that would help people because that should ease some of the resentment Walter carried around for years. --Cabe refused to let the helicopter pilot stop searching for his people in the woods. He has a lot of confidence in the team and knows they will find the smartest solutions. --Cabe said if Toby has time to draw cartoons, he needs to give him more work. --When Cabe was leaving, he said “cinnamon in the coffee…that’s awful”.
Paige did not have to do too much this week, but she helped to keep the hiking group calm and dispense water.

I wondered what Paige was actually doing out there that would justify risking her life like that.
It was pretty amazing that as much of a coward as Sylvester is, Walter said he WOULD make it. And he did. And I seriously thought he'd leave the pilot, but knowing Sylvester that would have been too hard on him afterward.
It was great to see Sylvester get the pilot's respect.
How that fire spread so fast I can't imagine. That was one of the scariest episodes they ever did. When I saw the gasoline leaking (I've seen a lot of that, having watched "Mad Max" and "Fast Five" this past weekend), my first thought was explosion. That didn't happen. I'm amazed. Though I didn't even think about the idea the fire wouldn't be limited to just that area. They didn't show the Santa Ana winds they talked about. But the fire spread away from Sylvester and the pilot first.

I recognized one of the shoe patterns as Chuck Taylor. Those are all I have worn, except for dress shoes, for 30 years, so I know what they look like. And I rarely wear dress shoes any more. No one cares if I wear pristine Chuck Taylors to church. They're literally my best shoes because the dress shoes look pretty bad.
When they had to swing on a rope that made me think of "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "World's Funniest Fails". I didn't have confidence it would work.

Scorpion was fun to watch and exciting. The woman they were protecting was a genius like them and she even corrected Sly on some math. He was a good sport about it.
I like the scene where Happy and Walter used skateboards to slide under a vehicle to disengage the computer system.

That part where they went under the RV reminded me of the movie "Fast Five", which I saw a couple of weeks ago.
Really scary this week, but I liked the way they ended it.
Something to consider: the woman they were protecting could have been one of them. But which do we want? A hot genius who doesn't have much of a personality, or an attractive girl next door with normal intelligence? I think we know which one of those works better. We already have Happy, who isn't that pretty and isn't there to be liked.
When I was a teenager, a man I went to church with had that same van, except not nearly as colorful.

I had not thought about it before now, but the genius women are portrayed with bad attitudes. We will keep Paige.
How in the world do you remember stuff like your neighbor had that RV when you were a teenager? Did you use to ride on the back of it for fun?

How in the world do you remember stuff like your neighbor had that RV when you were a teenager? Did you use to ride on the back of it for fun? No, not the RV. The one that was falling apart. I've always associated that front end with the van he had. Cars all look alike today.

Happy is also pretty on the show. She just doesn't try to be.
Where's Barry Allen's time travel ability when you need it?
They've messed up the show and potentially left it with no hope of returning to what made it good.
I hate to, but I have to. Cabe is my third favorite character. Sylvester is close. They can't do this show without Cabe. And now Walter hates him. The whole operation could have been jeopardized by cabe's secret about what happened in Iraq. And now Paige wants to leave. The show won't be the same without her. They needed her so much to be the voice of reason. Ralph's contribution was so important or many people could have been killed. Including the cast. But that put him in danger.
And now Walter has wreckded his car and could be badly hurt. I can't see any spoilers. I just can't.
And it's the season finale next week. No one better ask for raises because anyone can be told not to come back. And yet it's the three most important characters who have the potential not to.

I was reading TV listings. It's probably better not to, but I wanted to get the local TV section out of the way. The team is going to rescue Walter, or try to. I say try because the actor might ask for a raise.
