Ralph is a friend of a boy named Daniel who is non-verbal and can communicate only through his tablet. During a field trip that he and Ralph attended, Daniel wandered off to get away from the noise and became separated from the group. Chloe was waiting to pick Ralph up and decided to call her friends at Scorpion to help find the boy.
Cabe was there and he agreed to help. While they were tracking Daniel and his tablet, it became clear Daniel’s tablet had been accidentally switched with a tablet belonging to terrorists. It was exciting because they had to protect Daniel from the terrorists and they needed to track him quickly before he did something life threatening. Everyone on the team was very helpful in locating the child and understanding the best way to help him.
The genius who had kidnapped Toby previously taunted him with a clue about Happy’s husband. Of course, Toby could not focus on much other than solving the riddle.
It was a pretty good episode.

I do not remember them ever indicating that Walter is not a U.S. citizen, but I checked and the real Walter was born in Clonroche, Republic of Ireland.

I do not remember them ever indicating that Walter is not a U.S. citizen, but I checked and the real Walter was born in Clonroche, Republic of Ireland. Yes, Cabe went to Ireland in the pilot. But I had never thought about him having trouble with his green card. After all, he has valuable skills. If I haven't said already, I wear glasses that look like those of the man Toby visited in prison. Daniel's situation reminded me of JJ on "Speechless". He also can't talk, but he's also in a wheelchair. His social skills seem fine, though. People have accepted him even though he "talks" the same way as Daniel. Except he doesn't have the same technology, so an interpreter or whoever he talks to has to read what he is pointing to with a laser. \ Yeah, it was a good episode and not so much focus on Tim.

3.05 Plight at the Museum 10-24-16
A simple job at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum turns deadly when thieves steal things from a rare gem exhibit to get the materials they need to make a nuclear bomb.

I am 47 minutes late, but I am going to watch it tonight anyway because it looks like outrageous mishaps. I hope some of it is funny and that they do not destroy the museum.

This was fun to watch. I liked a lot about it: Toby’s overprotective behavior, the INS agent, the falcon, Cabe’s enthusiasm for the medieval weapons and their sleeping arrangements at the end of the episode. I am still chuckling about the sleeping arrangements.

I don't understand how Paige and Toby were supposed to get the materials that were needed back in the museum if they knew the museum was supposed to be locked.
I liked how Paige said she was raising five children. Someone mentioned something about "not in her job description" but she has done just about everything that didn't require a genius IQ.
When they wrecked the statue that cost millions, I thought of Riggs and Murtaugh and what they were costing the city. I wish there had been some resolution to that situation. I would hate to see a statue that valuable get lost.
I liked seeing Happy and Walter get married.

The marriage scene was great. I liked how Walter kissed the bride. Seeing Toby in a sleeping bag on the floor next to the bed was very funny.

See the Supergirl thread. I may have to wait for the rerun. I tried taping but given my history with this channel, which started out as the most dependable, I decided to check, and the signal went out a lot. I fiddled with the antenna but that still may not have been enough.

It was not enough. I enjoyed what I saw, but there were just too many interruptions. Since I have cable, it's not really worth it to get an outdoor antenna installed.

3.07 We're Gonna Need a Bigger Vote 11-7-16
On election day, someone tries to create turmoil in the U.S. presidential election, and Team Scorpion is called to investigate.

Scorpion was a timely episode. The team was requested to determine why the computer servers that tallied the votes for the presidential election were overheating. They quickly detected the servers were hacked and they needed to track the source of the hack. I knew it would drive Walter nuts to be grounded because of his citizenship issue. He and Ralph were too smart for the agent who was guarding Walter and they found a way to listen to the team’s communication.
It is entertaining to watch Toby with Cabe. Cabe told Toby his foot had a date with Toby’s [butt] real soon.
The President was grateful that Walter's team solved the vote count problem and granted Walter citizenship. The INS agent waved a little flag, told him she knew he and Happy perpetrated a fraudulent marriage, and gave the little flag to him.
Aw...Happy was not pregnant.
Finally, grumpy Happy said “Yes.”

I'm relieved I know the outcome of Walter's citizenship problem before I see the episode where the INS agent surely gave them trouble. I am reminded of "Designated Survivor" where they don't want to let in ANY immigrants, even geniuses.
I wasn't comfortable with Tim being on so much, but Paige looked hot in that dress.
There was an O'Brien in the credits. I wonder if he was related? I know the real Walter is a producer of some kind.
And that's all I remember.

3.08 Sly and the Family Stone 11-14-16
While in Ireland for Megan's one-year memorial, Walter discovers a natural disaster at a nearby lake has created a poisonous cloud that threatens an entire village; Cabe and Toby try to ease the tension between Tim and Walter.

The episode was about relationships. It seems Sly is not as shy about communicating with people as Walter, and the title of the episode is appropriate.
After Walter realized there was a problem with the lake, it seemed that his plans to solve it were making things worse. The clan did not trust him and they would have ridiculed him even more. The “Epson salts, hold breath, run” plan worked because Walter and Tim worked as a team.
Although Toby predicted Tim’s relationship with Paige would eventually dissolve, it seems stronger to me.
I liked the way Sly gave Walter a traditional Irish stone, but his truthful explanation about where he got the stone was ridiculous.

I liked the way Sly gave Walter a traditional Irish stone, but his truthful explanation about where he got the stone was ridiculous. Sly handled himself really well. I was surprised. I'm no better than Walter at interacting with people. I didn't know what was supposed to happen so I was wondering how with a celebration of Megan's life there would be yet another outrageous and impossible crisis with an unrealistic but entertaining solution. They did it. We actually had to worry about these people and the danger was real, yet they wouldn't listen. I wondered if anyone would ever get through to them. I was glad Walter and Tim didn't get along except I don't see how Walter could have told Tim he was wrong more nicely. And then I was glad they were able to work together. I was also hoping Tim and Paige would break up and that Tim would leave Scorpion. I still hope that can somehow happen. And the Irish bullies came through after all. I knew they weren't going to be happy with their van and equipment being used, but it was necessary. When Tim said he had experience with bullies, I predicted he would end up saying he was the bully.

Me too. I did not, for even a second, think Tim had been bullied. I think it did not occur to Walter that Tim would volunteer he had experience with bullying when he was the bully. I was glad Tim helped Walter when the bully's brother jumped in to hit Walter.
Paige has helped Walter understand how he affects people. Before meeting Paige, Walter would not have admitted to the bully that he would no longer try to make him look stupid. It was gratifying to hear Walter admit he played a part in escalating the problem.

When did Lea Thompson get old? She was Michael J. Fox's mom in "Back to the Future" and still in high school. She was Paige's age when she did "Caroline in the City", which reminds me. Now I know where I remember the nasty boss on "No Tomorrow" from. And I didn't like her there either. It bothered me how much Paige despised her mother, but we eventually learned why. Paige is supposed to be the voice of reason, and yet she needed Toby's help. She actually paid him! Sometimes she was funny getting annoyed with her mom. As usual, our heroes get in a situation so bad it will destroy the city if they do even one thing wrong, and yet the solutions just somehow show up to every possible problem. Or they figure it out much more quickly than anyone really can. Cabe called for help and was told everyone was home for Thanksgiving. And normally for this, they would call Scorpion. Tim's contribution was valuable. I don't see how Walter was able to lift that device. I don't see how they stacked all those film canisters so they didn't fall. But they eventually did. It reminded me of Nick Cannon's show. And on that show, what the guys were stacking was on fire so if it did fall, that was really dangerous. Paige definitely shouldn't have driven that truck. You can't learn to drive a stick when any jostling will make the device explode. I wasn't clear on what Paige's mom and Walter were talking about. I got the impression things weren't as serious as we were led to believe. And it is true no one got shot. I was happy when Paige's mom said maybe Paige's relationship with Tim wouldn't last. I'm still hoping for that.

I agree with you about the way they resolve issues. When they were stacking the film, I knew that would not work in real life. I did like the tissue paper and marshmallow solution Paige used for cushioning.
I was very extremely annoyed by the confrontations in the vehicles. That would be dangerous when someone is driving under any circumstances. However, Toby's reaction and comments did amuse me. He said something like he would prefer to be with the nuclear material than to be sitting between Paige and her mom.
I think they were in grave danger from the criminals, but the criminals were unable to catch them. The mom had tricked the criminals into thinking she was turning over a large sum of money which she, of course, did not possess.
I do not think Paige's mother should be allowed to be around impressionable children. When she winked at Ralph, he winked back, and I wondered if they have a secret.
People keep saying Paige and Tim will not last and I am okay with that, as long as they do not kill him. He is a nice guy and deserves better than that.

At least two weeks without a new one. But that was just fine this week since "Timeless" had the moon landing. This time the whole nation watched as communication with the astronauts was lost.

Honestly, the rescue attempt was nerve-wracking. Walter constantly puts himself in danger. Most of the time, he has confidence in the science, but there was a likelihood he would get injured tonight. His hands were hurt and I am glad it was not worse. Let’s have a round of applause for Ralph’s quick thinking and suggestion.
The rest of the team did their jobs without panicking in a tough situation. I do not fault the EMT’s for not jumping in the tar pit because they must follow rules and it really was too dangerous.
I thought Tim was leaving, but he said he wants to be a permanent part of the Team. I am sure he will be gone by the end of the season because they will come up with an acceptable exit strategy. I agree with Walter’s decision to win Paige on his own and leave the con woman out of it.
I like Ralph’s honesty in his conversation with his grandmother. I thought the wink exchanged by them in the last episode was an indication they had a secret, and the secret was Ralph had been writing to her. I am too disgusted to even discuss her babysitting strategy.

I couldn't believe Ralph was the only one who could come up with an idea to get Walter unstuck. And with all the dangers the tar pits would cause, this is one case where the people who say the science is all wrong would have been criticizing for sure.
Paige's mother likes her hair that way. So do I.
I was so hoping Tim would leave.
I hope that man got paid for the food Cabe took. Scorpion does have a budget after all. Don't they?
The grandmother isn't teaching Ralph morals. But if people are willing to pay the price for premium food, I guess that wasn't so bad and Cabe's action stimulated demand.

The grandmother lied to the people about the ingredients. People tend to trust children who are soliciting for an organization. I doubt they would have bought so much if she was there without Ralph.
