Scorpion gave me a lot of laughs even though the gun runners were serious. All of the team members were to meet at a cabin that did not have cell service or wi-fi and celebrate Christmas the old-fashioned way.
Before leaving, Walter presented Tim with his own personal work space located in the elevator, behind curtains, which had a desk that was much too small for Tim. That was awkward, but I thought it was hilarious.
When they mentioned packing was like Tetris, I liked that because Tetris is a game every generation of my family loved. We spent hours each day, taking turns playing the game and played each upgraded version of the game.
Toby bought "Sparkling Mike" which has 178 tiny gears for Happy. He had it put together for her, but it was damaged during the fight with the gun runners. She was thrilled that she would have to assemble it.
Ralph: "I don’t need a toy rocket. I built a real one with Walter."
Tim and Cabe wearing the same sun shades was adorable and they were wearing similar clothing.
Happy’s costume was cute and I liked Toby’s kinky reaction to it. Happy’s “Atta Boy” gift to Toby was cute and thoughtful.
It was amusing that Paige was the one who brought a cell phone to the cabin after she insisted on there being no cell phones.
I liked their "Home Alone" type defenses.
Good bye, Tim.

I know nothing about Tetris, but I get that geniuses would like it.
I don't know why Paige wasn't dressed warmly or in Christmas colors but I like how her top showed off her shoulders.
I liked their "Home Alone" defenses too. I couldn't imagine how they were going to get out of this mess.
I didn't get that Walter was doing anything wrong to Tim. I thought they just didn't have the budget for a better desk. Anyway, they got a chance to yell at each other and reveal their true feelings and I'm so glad we're rid of Tim at last. It bothers me that someone made the statement that Paige won't be happy.
I liked how Happy reacted to the costume.
I didn't get why Happy had to put together her robot, but I do now.
The chase with Ralph was exciting. I was relieved when Ralph was all right.

Putting Tim in that small elevator space away from everyone else on the team, behind a curtain, and with a desk that is designed for school children. was Walter's passive aggressive way of letting Tim know he was not a member of the team.
I do not recall someone saying Paige would not be happy. Anyway, I think Paige still likes Walter, but he was the one who kept pushing her away.

Scorpion was very good. After a freak accident caused a shard of metal to pierce Cabe, his life was in peril. Rescue team was at least 90 minutes away and he would not survive the delay.
The team worked their science magic to save him, but the process was complicated.
I was glad Paige did not let Walter get away with his insensitivity and that led to Walter making a greater effort to express his feelings. I was overjoyed when Walter and Cabe said “I love you.” After Walter’s comments that they could all be replaced, maybe he needed to really let Cabe know he is cherished.
Off topic: When Cabe is in fight mode, I have flashbacks to “Terminator”, which is not good. So, I am more relaxed when he is sitting in a lawn chair and drinking iced coffee.
When Sly had to capture the snake, I thought if Tim was still there, he could have helped. To save Cabe’s life, Sly was rather brave, but I did laugh when the male snake appeared.

I wish Paige had only been annoyed with Walter about his incorrect reaction to the possibility Cabe would die. She is still upset about Tim but she is mostly mature about it.
I did like it when Paige took her clothes off to get the hydrogen sulfide. Oh, yeah, Walter had to too.
It was a very exciting episode and scary though you know Cabe could never die.

Something I wondered about and forgot to mention. How can it be so hot when we just celebrated Christmas?

I do not know which desert they were in so I took their word that it was very hot.
No new episode on Monday because Scorpion repeated the episode “White Out”.

I hope I can enjoy the episode because I really dislike Paige's mother and it appears she will be featured in this episode.

Faux Money Maux Problems
This is not the first time the client tricked Scorpion and each time, their lives were in peril. Toby was enjoying the wine while he waited for the rest of the team and he had a nice buzz until the man started shooting at them. He sobered up quickly. The scene where young Paige participated in a scam so the nice lady could be robbed demonstrated why she does not freak out when she is on the road with the team. But it also reinforced my dislike of her mother. I was impressed that Sly kept up with Walter and Cabe while they were running from the dogs. Snarling dogs are a great motivator. I did not like the fact that team members are in financial difficulty. That seemed weird because they get paid a lot of money for the jobs. Toby’s gambling debts are taking a long time to pay off, but they do not have normal living expenses. Suggestion for the team: In addition to their other duties, Paige and Toby should research the clients. Obviously, Walter is not doing a good job of evaluating their trustworthiness.

Walter reminds me a lot of me. At least he is trying.
Paige criticized her mother for how she was raised, but obviously what her mother did has helped Paige be a valuable member of the team.
Why don't they have normal living expenses? They don't live in that warehouse.
I'm curious as to what phone Toby answered and how Walter knew to call it when Toby had to leave his phone behind it the winery. And did Toby and Happy ever get their phones back?

Yes, Walter is trying. However, I agree with him that there should be only one leader. Walter should have the final decision on whether or not to take a job; then, he should rely on Cabe's wisdom when it comes to safety and security issues. I made the comment about living expenses because Toby and Happy spend most of their time tinkering in the garage and eating carry-out. They do not appear to me to have normal living expenses like mortgage, children, new cars every three years, big grocery bills, vacation expense, work clothes, hair stylist, manicure/salon expenses, and jewelry. Those are things people who make a lot of money take for granted. I already deleted the episode, but I remember Toby went back to the Scorpion headquarter. There is probably a phone there at all times for business purposes.

I don't think they went all the way back there. They had just left the vineyard. Toby rolled he wine cask bomb off of the truck and it exploded. After the crash, Toby searched the man and found a key fob flash drive. They drove directly to Scorpion headquarters and used their computer to break the encryption on the fob. While doing that, Walter called them on the device shown below.

The Hole Truth - Scorpion was good even though watching Walter place himself in danger was nerve-wracking.
Although they always give an explanation of the danger involved and details of the solution, it seemed to me that they went into much more detail than usual during this episode.
Walter needs to try harder to be civil to people.
I cheered and applauded when Paige’s mom fell into the deadly pit but, of course, I knew she would not die. I do like the small fortune she left behind for her grandchild.

Walter without Paige reminds me of me, but fortunately I'm not anywhere close to being as smart as he is. I was smart enough in high school and college that his behavior makes sense to me.
Paige shouldn't throw Walter in the deep end. I hadn't realized how valuable she was to the team because whatever she's been doing hasn't been that noticeable. She has done other jobs besides keep the nerds from alienating people.
I didn't know Paige's mom had fallen somewhere where we would think she wouldn't make it out. I couldn't believe they were ending the episode that way and I felt so bad for Paige even though she didn't care about her mom in that way. But as that man left I realized. If they want to keep people from chasing her, the way to do it was fake her death. And then Paige's mom came out and I realized I was right and I was so much happier.
I liked the way that man eventually respected Sylvester even though he wears that costume. Once again, Cabe gets himself in a real jam. I don't see how a man his age can go through so much. And like Oliver Douglas, he's always wearing a suit when it's clearly inappropriate. This is actually about a past episode, but I saw an O'Brien in the credits. A relative, maybe? And since he does contribute to the show are we ever going to see the real Walter onscreen?

Walter's difficulties remind me of Jessica on "Fresh Off the Boat". She started out as a Tiger Mom but has become more mellow with her family and friends. However, she seems to completely lack the ability to get along with people in general.

Sharknerdo
Although I knew neither Walter nor Paige would get eaten by sharks, it was still interesting to watch them battle the shark. Walter has played a hero many times, but I was still surprised that he jumped into the water with the sharks.
At first, I thought it was unethical for the woman to not pay them. Then I realized she had to be angry that they took her boat and left her in the small boat by herself.

That was exciting watching Walter and Paige deal with sharks. once again, Walter was unselfish.
Walter seemed like he hadn't improved at all with Paige's help as he explained why he chose to take the job in the ocean. But Walter's comment about docking Paige's pay wasn't right. She does so much more than the job she was originally hired for. She actually manages the team and does so many things you don't need to be a genius to do, to keep the geniuses from having to do all that.
That woman had little concern for people. Imagine telling Cabe and Toby not to save Walter and Paige! That was great how they kept her there.
I thought Sylvester was in trouble, but showing concern for his friends rather than the press is exactly what you want in a candidate.
Do they ever show the stunt people in the credits?

The conversation about Walter and Sylvester swearing off of the game of chess was interesting. However, I was disappointed that it was obvious something similar would happen during the important chess match. They worked it out but I felt sorry for the guy who got sick.
My father taught me to play chess, but I never took it any more seriously than I take checkers.
That jump from the window would probably not end well in real life.
I hope they got paid for that job.

They said Happy didn't play, but she was playing with Cabe.
I shared an apartment with three other guys during my last year in college. One of them taught me how to play because he wanted someone he could beat. One of the other guys beat him every time because he was so good and he wouldn't even bother with someone like me. I almost beat the first guy once but I had to leave.
Nothing is ever as easy as it seems for these people, but that's what makes it exciting.
None of the stunts we see on these shows would end well in real life. I will say this: the episode was not nearly as exciting as it could have been. I saw the sixth entry in the "Fast and Furious" series the previous night and found myself thinking this episode was quite tame. And some of their stunts made this show's stunts look like kids playing on the playground!
It was amazing how they figured out what to do, but it was explained when it was all over.

3.17 Dirty Seeds, Done Dirt Cheap 2-20-17

I enjoyed Dirty Seeds. Of course, I ignored all of the scientific jargon and concentrated on how they would solve the problems. Something always goes wrong and not just the problem with the fungus. I liked them helping each other with their fears. However, if Happy and the others could not "hear" them when they were trying to help at first, it did not seem logical that they would "hear" after they were exposed even longer. But, it was still a good episode.
Paige's fear is that Walter will become involved with a sexy woman. Happy is still afraid Toby will someday reject her. That is rather sad because he really adores her.
