AMC today [3-9-15] announced that it has placed an initial two-season order for a companion series to The Walking Dead, the #1 show on television among adults 18-49 for going on three seasons.
The new series (title to be announced) will be set in Los Angeles and focused on new characters and storylines. The show’s first season will consist of six one-hour episodes and premiere on AMC in late summer. The show’s second season will air in 2016.
Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert from The Walking Dead are executive producers of the new series, which, like the original, is being produced by AMC Studios. Dave Erickson (Marco Polo, Sons of Anarchy), who co-created and co-wrote the pilot with Kirkman, is an Executive Producer and Showrunner. The series will star Cliff Curtis (Missing, Gang Related), Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, Sons of Anarchy), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm).Full article at blogs.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/2015/03/amc-announces-two-season-order-for-the-walking-dead-companion-series/

I have seen the show referred to as "Fear the Walking Dead", but I do not know if that is going to be the title when it airs. Kirkman has described the show as follows: "The timeline is taking place in a little bit earlier timeframe than the original show. Rick Grimes woke up from a coma and was like, ‘Oh, man, zombies, weird!’ We’re probably going to see that unfold a little more in the other show. But I wouldn’t call it ‘prequel’ because the entirety of the show is not going to take place before. It will eventually form a path running concurrently." |

AA, I've seen that, too. IMO, FTWD is a HORRIBLE title for the show. Surely someone in the writers room can come up with something more creative than that. Let's see if we can......

I just saw an ad last night that tells us the new "Fear The Walking Dead" premieres next Sunday, August 23. Hope it's as good as the original.  |

The end was good. eh I was expecting more. They should've had it premiere in july, we were left too long in suspense and expecting too much  |

According to my tv guide, AMC will be re-showing it right after the premiere and again Fri night/Sat morning. Since i missed the first 2 airings, i may record it on the 3rd one.
Or try finding it on Demand.

slow start but ending was better they could had add more then that for previews do look good so it will pick up hopefully.
