I'm glad the families are together again. We don't need groups to be split up so early on and it would be too much like twd. the old man was right... travis is weak. and then he had the nerve to be upset about the old man teaching his son how to safely handle a gun ? how many walkers does he have to encounter to get it? madison knows whats up. [/img] nick is still the best character.

OK, I broke down and watched most of episode #2 (which was aired @ 8 pm). I WAS better (but that's not saying much) than episode #1.
Uh, do high schools really keep a stash of Oxy-codone in the nurse's office? Really? And in such an easily opened locker? The chubby kid sure seemed to know a lot about what was happening.......zombie-wise. I was surprised when he didn't go home with the woman.
As for the group in the barber's office....how will they escape if there is no back exit?
They still haven't explained how the zombie outbreak started.
I'll probably watch episode #3 next Sunday and will be a week behind the rest of you. I just can't stay awake until 10pm on a Sunday night. I need my rest to get up early and start the work week.

Hi SoCal! I agree about the airtime. Not only is it late, I get all amped up watching that I can't get to sleep. Episode 3 is way better.

Just when you think the family is starting to take the situation seriously, the national guard shows up and lulls them into a false sense of security. I think Griselda will turn first from the infection and then they'll finally understand.

Why didn't the dog turn? I should know this by now. I guess animals aren't affected by the virus.

I guess we're in the same boat... I watched the first 2 episodes together but haven't watched the 3rd one yet. This show just seems to have a slow timeline. I'm hoping that it moves faster as the episodes go on.

So far, it looks like we have 10 characters that they are showing. Curious to see who will become the core survivor group. My guess that the first to go will be the barbers wife. That would be my guess too. Or their neighbor. The ratings have been dropping. but it's already renewed for a season 2 so.... How much have they dropped?

The show does move slow, but I like the way we see the characters go through progressing stages of belief. In TWD, we are basically plunged into the apocalypse ... where everyone already knows what is going on. Here we get to see civilization slowly fall. The show relies on story telling rather than gore and violence. I like those things too, but we'll have plenty of that on the 11th. If done right, one zombie here can make a more powerful impact than a herd. I like both shows for what they are.

Possible spoiler. Looks like i was right about the neighbor. Poor lady. And from what i can tell, she never fed so it makes it even sadder. Yep, i get what you're saying. I'm a Walking Dead virgin but that makes sense. I still don't understand why they didn't call the show "Fear" or something similar. After all, that's how we're all going to shorten it anyway.

I'm still an episode behind, but #3 was pretty good. Except for when Maddie and the kids go outside (stupid) to investigate noises and LEAVE THE DAMN DOOR OPEN! Come on. What's up with the mexican family that sheltered Travis and son in their barbershop? I'm not quite getting the dad's actions and responses to the situation. So, drug-boy doesn't need his mom, just his "meds." Someone should throw him to a zombie. No one seemed to care that there were 2 dead bodies in the garbage bins. I wonder if they were in the recycle bin? I'll probably watch next week's repeat of last night's new episode. Was that a confusing sentence? Oh, well.

That last episode was TERRIBLE! worst than the freaking pilot. i knew it was going to be boring though as soon as we saw the national guard step in at the end of last episode. and the teenaged girl cuts? ugh. are we watching one tree hill or a walking dead spin off. the only interesting thing happened at the end with them taking nick. CAN ANYONE TELL I MISS THE WALKING DEAD?
