I was happy the way the issue was resolved. I remember the son from The Cosby Show. He was not a part of the illegal actions of his officers, but he felt compelled to protect them. That must be very difficult.

1.12 Brotherly Love 1-18-17

"Rectify" made me a fan of Clayne Crawford. His character's personality was complete opposite to Riggs' personality. He was a quiet southern gentleman who had self-esteem issues.
I am glad the article said "Lethal Weapon" will be around for a while.
I watched the latest episode and will chat about it a little later.

I was glad to see Trish in action in court. She was deceptively nice before they went in there.
I was hoping Murtaugh wouldn't have any more heart problems but that added a lot to the episode.
The shrink looked gorgeous, and in some scenes she wore glasses which also look good on her.

I liked seeing Trish in court and it is now easy to see why the cops sometimes scatter when she comes into the precinct. They do not want to clash with her. I especially enjoy the deference Riggs shows to Trish in all situations. I love southern gentlemen. Captain Avery gave Murtaugh a brief but powerful pep talk about how the precinct feels about him.

With RJ, Murtaugh has to be a strict dad. Away from RJ, Murtaugh is pleased.
Once again I am reminded why I didn't like Riggs at first. He was pretty far gone. Yet somehow he still did his job. I liked how he just showed up at the Murtaugh house expecting to eat. Where was their daughter?
Riggs' father-in-law is still family. I didn't recognize him when he first appeared, but in past episodes I knew he was also Ugly Betty's father.
And once again, Riggs and Murtaugh fell off a tall building but something was there to catch them.

I'm not familiar with confessions except from TV and movies but it seems like every TV show or movie assumes we are.
The murderer seemed to have something in common with The Deacon from "Frequency".

I needed the break.
Let me say I spent way too much time on the computer today. I had some catching up to do but now I've lost two hours of TV time I could have had. I'm going to avoid this place Monday. Maybe I'll come Wednesday instead.

1.14 The Murtaugh File 2-8-17

The episode was entertaining in spite of people getting killed. The first scene was really tragic.
Many of us thought the psychiatrist was the stalker. If the shot did not kill him, the explosion would have. Murtaugh is quite a marksman. Riggs shooting skill also came in handy when he stopped the truck from hitting Cahill’s husband.
The only part I did not enjoy was the way the Murtaugh’s handled Riana’s lies. That was too unrealistic. However, I did like them going to see her at work.
I really enjoy the scenes between Riggs and Cahill. The scene when Riggs was on the ledge and was casually scaring Cahill was well done. She knew he would not jump, but it was still scary. I like her description of him as an “emotional terrorist”. Riggs frequently says “Good session.” when he leaves Cahill and that is also said in the end credits.

I didn't even come close to finishing what I needed to do Tuesday. It was going to be Monday but it was supposed to rain Tuesday. I think tomorrow is going to be another one of those days when I avoid this place and any temptation to do stuff on the computer that I don't really need to do so I can catch up.
It was all I could do to get newspapers read when I was this close to 100 percent on my TiVo. And Monday night I still had the endings of two movies to watch. I didn't get as much reading done as I usually do. All this is leading up to the statement I haven't seen it yet.

What was the name of the suspect? I need it to complete one of the short jokes.
Cahill was in the No. 6 movie in the "Fast and Furious" series. She was only in a few scenes as Paul Walker's wife, and gave birth to their child. So we know she's going to have to go through tragedy in the next movie in the series. I don't remember but I know they had to do some fixes with Walker's brothers when he hadn't finished some scenes. I couldn't remember if this was the movie, but it obviously wasn't. Later in the movie she was kidnapped so the bad guys could get away, then she was rescued and really handled herself well driving a car in a dangerous situation. Of course we know she didn't drive the car. She just looked determined for the camera while sitting behind the wheel a few times. Some great car chases and lots of excitement, but I didn't really enjoy it that much.
I suspected the other psychiatrist, but we know now he was just being framed.
I did like seeing Riana's parents visit her at work, but how could they possibly support her getting a fake ID?
I'm confused about how Cahill found a new place so fast. Did she already live there? Why was she spending time in a house that used to be hers? I hated to see her lose that house if that really was where she lived.

What was the name of the suspect? I need it to complete one of the short jokes. Officer Montero was the final suspect. I do not remember his first name. Brad was the husband and the other doctor was Ronald Levinson. I enjoyed the episode except for the dispute between the Murtaughs and their daughter.

1.15 As Good As It Getz 2-15-17
Riggs and Murtaugh are forced to work with DEA agent Karen Palmer again, to protect Leo Getz, an ambulance-chasing attorney who was linked to the Cartel. As the three delve further into the case, they begin to realize that Leo may not be the only one with a target on his back. In the meantime, Riggs begins to view Agent Palmer in a new light while Murtaugh is left worried after Trish makes a spontaneous decision.

The donut shop scene caught me off guard and shook me up for a moment. But after that, I laughed all the way through the episode.
I do not remember Leo Getz from the movie, but people were excited to see the character.
I like the chemistry between Riggs and DEA agent Palmer. It was great that Murtaugh did not have to jump from the helicopter with Riggs.
The scene at the end with Murtaugh and Trish was hilarious.

I also liked seeing Riggs and Palmer together. I don't remember them from before. I was relieved she survived the attempt on her life. Jumping from the helicopter should have resulted in them getting hurt more than they did, but somehow on TV and in movies it never does. I was hoping they found a soft surface to land on. I was amazed an abandoned motel still had beds, but they had to crash through the roof first. I was hoping Trish would get the promotion and I assumed she would have no trouble starting her own practice or at least getting another job. One thing is certain: they can't live in that posh neighborhood without her working. I heard it is unlikely "The Odd Couple" will be renewed and that raises interesting possibilities that were suggested by that ad on the bus. Leo has some similarities to Felix, but he isn't as fussy. Felix wouldn't have been able to stand that bathroom and I have to wonder what he would have done when the shooting started, because there's no way Felix could get down on the floor. Leo is quite funny even on this show.

Regarding last week's episode, no one had ever seen the head bad guy. That was also true in the movie "Ride Along".
I'm glad someone recognized the seriousness of Trish not working. She likes it, but there's no way they can pay for college for the kids. And there are three, not two. A second and even third mortgage? Can they even pay for one? It wouldn't be right if Murtaugh took that college job. He and Riggs need to stay partners and Riggs was so good in the episode.
Trish is considering going back to work, and I hope she goes back to the same firm.

S1.E16 Unnecessary Roughness 2-22-17
A murder involving a high school football phenomenon draws Riggs and Murtaugh into the lucrative - and corrupt - world of college recruiting. Meanwhile, Murtaugh considers a big change in his professional life, and Riggs contemplates an even bigger shift in his personal life, as he spends more time with DEA Agent Karen Palmer.

I overlooked posting a description for the episode but I did watch it. I remember Riggs felt guilty about his relationship with Palmer, lashed out at his shrink, and took a drink. Although I was saying "No, no!", I guess he will be more entertaining while drinking than he would be sober. I could not believe Riggs would invite a boxer to punch him. That had to hurt.
Murtaugh did a good job of mentoring the young man and encouraging him to go to college even though he would not have a football scholarship. The young man's mother made a terrible choice when she told those violent men to take care of the friend she thought was getting in the way.

Normally I don't watch this show, but I tuned in last night because one of my favorite actors was a part of it. His name is Matt Passmore and this was my first time seeing him play a bad guy. I can't wait to see him in next week's episode. His character I guess is the man who took out Martin's wife.
God bless you and Matt always!!!

I liked seeing Palmer get out of bed.
I was worried about her but things appear to be working out for her. That safe house reminded me of the house on "Speechless". They can't afford a nice house but they want to be in a nice neighborhood. So they bought a rundown dump.
I'm confused about Miranda. I thought Riggs had already confronted the person who killed her.
I'm amazed Murtaugh didn't know the city attorney was Riggs' father-in-law.
If Riggs had actually shot anyone, there would have been an investigation, which is normal. But of course he wasn't even supposed to have a gun or be with Murtaugh. It's a good thing for all parties involved that he was.
Trish has a new job! I thought maybe the firm would have to hire her back to keep from losing that man as a client, but no, he just hired her. No firm necessary.

1.18 Commencement

Lethal Weapon was intense. Riggs’ actions were dangerous and illegal. It was so bad Murtaugh was serious when he asked the Captain to reassign him a new partner. It had never crossed my mind that the Cartel was focused on the father-in-law and that was the reason Riggs family was killed. Events spiraled out of their control and both Riggs and Murtaugh were in danger of losing their lives. By the end of the episode, my stomach was in knots. Murtaugh, Jr. graduated from high school and that was nice. Murtaugh was hurt and tattered, but he saw his son walk across the stage.
