Helix offered to create a device to track Chase in exchange for Felicity helping them to free someone from ARGUS. There were some good fight scenes, and Arrow joined the fight to stop Helix from infiltrating ARGUS. Felicity and Team Arrow were on opposite sides and that put a strain on their relationship. ARGUS was holding an elite hacker at an illegal black site and that caused a problem between Lyla and Diggle.
After they freed the hacker, Helix told Felicity they could no longer work with her because of her connection to Arrow and ARGUS, but they gave her the information she needed.
I enjoyed the scene where Quentin Lance arranged a visit between Wild Dog and his daughter. When Quentin left the office, I saw a close-up of a picture of him with Laurel.
Once again, Chase was one step ahead and booby-trapped the Arrow computer system with an IED (improvised explosive device). When the tracking device indicated Chase was in their building, the IED immediately sent Oliver and Felicity flying across the room.
Chase is a tough opponent.

It certainly seems that way. Team Arrow, with the help of ARGUS and Helix, still cannot catch him.

Now we know why Rene missed the custody hearing for his daughter.
Black Siren is helping Chase because he busted her out of prison. I thought seeing her was going to cause Quentin to have another heart attack. I was amused when Thea was trying to explain alternate universes to Quentin.
I was thrilled to see Malcolm Merlyn. I wonder if Chase understood that he was provoking people more dangerous than Oliver when he snatched the Arrow team. Arrow is gathering the most dangerous assassins to help him get his son back. This is going to be exciting.

Arrow's season finales are always a battle royal, but this one was special because it was personal. Although Chase had a brilliant mind, he was insane. He left his allies on the island to die along with Oliver's family and friends. That was shocking. They were headed to the other side of the island so I hope they were far enough away to avoid the explosion. Also, I do not like what happened to Malcolm either.
Each one of my CW shows killed off a favorite. They act as if that is a requirement for a season finale. Sad!
I was a little confused about the Digger Harkness character because John Barrowman played Capt. Jack Harkness in the Dr. Strange/Torchwood series, but there does not seem to be a relationship.
