The Murder of Jesse James – did not learn in school that there was an African-American Ranger. *** The episode was good and it had some humor. There was danger in the past and in the present. There were nods to a lot of things, but right now, I can remember “Frontier Land” and “Hunger Games”. It was funny when Lucy slid off of the horse, but she was cool about it. Now everyone on the team has killed someone when they traveled to the past. Jiya has no idea that training to pilot the time machine is the worst possible promotion. Mason threatened Jiya in a manner that should have made her realize he is not an ordinary boss. Should Rufus warn her?

I may be able to find it somewhere else. No luck so far.

I was confused about the girl in training to be the next lifeboat pilot. I don't know why I thought she was the girl in the video. But with time travel, anything is possible. So my first thought was the girl Flynn went back to see was her, years after she piloted the lifeboat in the future and decided to stay.
Raymie did the same thing on "Frequency", though that was erased. Wyatt couldn't let Jesse kill again.
One crook in a Bugs Bunny cartoon was so mean the poster said "Wanted: Dead".
I was amazed at the photos. I thought back then you had to pose for a photo, but those photos didn't look posed. I guess photography had advanced further than I thought.
Tonto wasn't pleased with his name.

I sort of cringed when I heard that "Tonto" meant "fool" because I loved "The Lone Ranger" series. I never realized the native American was actually being referred to as fool. Yikes!

I looked it up and it was a coincidence. The word actually meant "Wild One" in a Native American language, according to one story.

Two favorite actors from Supernatural will be on Timesless - Jim Beaver on February 6 and Misha Collins on February 13. Eric Kripke has been asking Supernatural fans to support this show and having fan favorites appear on it is a good idea.

1.13 Karma Chameleon 1-30-17

Karma Chameleon – did not learn in school that stewardesses had one-night stands. I did not particularly enjoy the episode. What could go wrong…did go wrong and that led to a person’s death. Let’s keep in mind that the man who died did nothing wrong. Anthony tried to prevent Rittenhouse from using the time machine, but someone, perhaps Flynn, killed him. It was not clear to me what was destroyed in the explosion. It is clear that Denise is not working for Rittenhouse and she showed Lucy a photograph of Connor Mason meeting with a Rittenhouse agent. The agent is going to try to get Lucy to join Rittenhouse because it is her legacy. I do wonder if Lucy’s mother knows about Rittenhouse. Even though the boss knows Rufus helped Wyatt, only Wyatt was taken away by Homeland.

I didn't like that the man died. There were all sorts of things that could go wrong, and it made the episode quite exciting.
We were promised an explosion, but it's not certain the time machine was destroyed.
I know from next week's episode summary that Rufus was not arrested. I couldn't remember until I saw that but I know Wyatt was arrested. And talk about your unsolved murder! Only Wyatt knew it was an accident, but it was an accident caused by his recklessness.
So Wyatt's wife still dies. Does that mean he didn't do it? It looks like he did commit the other two murders which didn't happen.
When the cop asked Wyatt for ID, I figured since it wasn't an official mission he'd have to show the ID that said he hadn't been born yet.
The one guy might have been worse for the killer's mother. And if they had gotten together, she could have still given birth to him. And given the other man's attitude, that might have made the son worse.
I enjoyed most of the episode, but I didn't pick up on the idea that the other stewardesses (and people did use the other term then, didn't they?) would reveal his behavior as stalkerish. Wyatt reacted, and once they mentioned Wyatt being her old friend, I realized what that was about.
Lots of familiar music. Not good music, though, in my opinion. I was in college and tended to follow the "Top 40" just out of curiosity. I couldn't even tell you now what songs have been hits in the past few years. One of the songs hadn't even been a hit yet, but I guess it could have been on an album recorded earlier.

1.14 The Lost Generation 2-6-17

Did not learn in school: Hemingway was a soldier and a heavy drinker; Lindberg was an a-hole; Josephine Baker helped the Americans; and I did not learn that “prostitutes never forget a face.” When Lucy and Rufus were sent to Paris, Master Sergeant David Baumgartner replaced Wyatt as their soldier. He carried an antique weapon rather than a modern one. I was disappointed that Flynn’s man killed him. Flynn’s plan was to stop Lindberg from completing his flight and helping Rittenhouse achieve their goals. Flynn successfully brought down the plane and captured Lindbergh, but Lucy thwarted his plans. Lucy thought she had steered Lindenberg to a different path, but when she checked, his story remained the same. They met some interesting people in Paris. In addition to Lindberg, they met Josephine Baker and Hemingway. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Denise was relieved of her position. Connor Mason is now working with Agent Neville (Jim Beaver) of the NSA. Benjamin Cahill, Lucy’s father, was openly at the facility and no longer hiding his involvement. When Denise visited Wyatt in interrogation, she left a paperclip, which he used to open the handcuffs; then he MacGyver’d his way out of there. Rufus, Lucy, Wyatt and Denise plan to work together to bring down Rittenhouse.

Kind of a waste to send Baumgartner back and then have him die like that. He should have brought a modern weapon! It's a good thing they had Hemingway.
I was amazed Denise was able to be in the room with Wyatt after losing her job. Somehow she reminds me of the general on "Chuck".
I assumed Lindbergh would be remembered like Amelia Earhart, but obviously not.
I like how people have never heard of certain famous people. That was a good explanation calling Josephine Baker the Beyoncé of her time.

1.15 Public Enemy No. 1 2-13-17
Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus try to enlist the help of Elliot Ness after Flynn lands in 1931 Chicago to call in a favor from notorious gangster Al Capone; a clue leads the team to a crucial revelation about Rittenhouse.

Wow. Rufus couldn't pilot the lifeboat so who knows what will happen?
I don't know whether Al Capone really had a brother who changed his name but it was interesting.
It's amazing Wyatt was able to go on this mission. But it wasn't official so they had to pretend they came from somewhere that people dress differently. San Francisco was as good a place as any.

When Rufus was injured, because of when and where they were, they knew it was not a good idea to try to get emergency help for him. He looked like he might not survive.
They have been altering history very badly, but I did not expect them to alter the Al Capone story so drastically. Elliott Ness was played by Misha Collins (my favorite angel in "Supernatural") and they killed him. I immediately went to Twitter to complain about that and there was a tweet from sweet Misha asking his fans to not give Kripke a hard time for killing him. He said he enjoyed playing Ness so I behaved myself.
Have they ever mentioned whether Lucy and her sister are both the daughter of that Rittenhouse guy? He did not seem upset about the sister's disappearance.

Timeless was good and the ending was almost satisfactory. Jiya joined the last trip because Rufus was still feeling the effects of his injury. Lucy, Wyatt, Rufus, Jiya, Connor Mason, Denise and Flynn played a role in bringing down Rittenhouse without blowing up a group of people. It was a job well done.
I think Rufus’ friend is having visions as a result of time travel. I think Wyatt is beginning to have feelings for Lucy and that might help him to let go of the past.
When Lucy told her mother about time traveling and her plans to bring her sister back, her mother shocked her. She is a member of Rittenhouse and revealed Rittenhouse was taking over the mother ship. We saw the woman Flynn asked to pilot the ship for him was a member of Rittenhouse and was aboard the ship. That spoiled the ending, but set up a story for the next season if Timeless is renewed.

I thought it ended well myself. We have a cliffhanger if it gets renewed, but if it doesn't, almost everything has been dealt with.
I was amazed at how fast Rufus recovered.
The people who used to be in charge did a good job making things happen and now the man with the Malcolm X glasses and his associates have gotten what they deserved.
