My comments for Ep. 11 also summarize the highlights for Ep. 10 which focused on the discord resulting from sending Southside students to Riverdale.
Additional comment about The Wicked and the Divine
Betty is an excellent ally and she helps Jughead to achieve his goals. After the Principal suspended them because of the article Jughead wrote, they decided to track down the head of the Pickens statue and learn who had damaged it. They were successful in learning the truth and ousting Jughead's greatest enemies in the Serpents.

Several unexpected things happened in this episode. Friends continue to be dragged into Betty’s drama and Veronica’s family drama.
After Betty told Jughead about the dead man her mother hid in the drainpipe, an officer asked them if they knew who the car belonged to that had been parked across from the house for two days. Uh oh! It belonged to the dead guy. Jughead and Betty pushed the car into the river and also threw the man’s cell phone in the river.
When F.P. was told what they had done, he decided to protect them and he personally dug a grave and tossed the body in it along with lime.
Cheryl threatened Betty’s father and told him to stay away from her mother. She told Betty about her father and Betty angrily threatened to tell her mother if he did not leave Chip alone. Unfortunately, Chip is evil and will probably harm the family.
Veronica has been playing peacemaker and it seems to be successful, at least on the surface. I do not think she knows that Archie had been approached by Agent Adams of the FBI to report on Hiram. Adams put a lot of pressure on Archie and told him to plant a bug in the house. Adams also threatened Archie’s father with an investigation into his business practices in an attempt to force Archie to do what he wanted. The way all of that ended was the biggest shocker for me.

It is possible I will see episode 10 this Thursday at the library. A lot depends on how well video works. Actually, I could watch at home if I left early, I suppose. But I also have to get the free month of Hulu. All I know is that I got an email saying I could get it.
If I see episode 10 then I can start watching the rest.

You are four episodes behind. I am adding more details now so I will remember what happened in the episodes. I'm way more than four episodes behind. And the good news is I got free Hulu for a month and even went ahead and got it without commercials. That lets me watch "Nashville", but this show is not one of the options. So far, every way I could watch this show costs money.

The Hills Have Eyes
Archie, Veronica, Jughead and Betty went to the Lodge’s safe-house cabin. Some personal issues were resolved, including Archie and Betty kissing.
When the local guys broke in and robbed them, Archie chased the guys and was ready to pummel one of them when the Lodge’s bodyguard appeared. He killed the man after telling Archie to walk away.
Hiram Lodge bought the trailer park the Serpents live in and also bought the newspaper from Betty's family. Neither Betty nor Jughead trusts the Lodges.

The Hills Have Eyes
I found it amusing that Veronica suggested the best way for them to get over Archie and Betty kissing was for Jughead and her to kiss. She kissed Jughead for a long time, and Jughead said the best thing about the kiss was watching Archie's expression.
There were two scenes when the other couple listened to the squeaking bed springs in the adjoining room.

Primary Colors
The Lodges’ plans for the southside are causing a rift between Archie’s friends and between Archie and his father. Fred does not like the plan for a new prison on the site of the school and withdrew from running for mayor. In addition, he wants to terminate his partnership with the Lodges.
Archie sided with the Lodges. He also violated his friendship with Jughead by thwarting his plan to block demolition of the school.
The Lodges told Veronica to keep a low profile until things cooled down. Both Ethel and Reggie taunted Veronica. In a fit of anger, Veronica punched Reggie in the face and knocked him down. Ethel was wrong to throw a milkshake in Veronica’s face because Veronica is not responsible for what her father did in the past. Same thing applies to Reggie. Veronica decided to run against Reggie for student council president with Betty as her running mate. Veronica thought Josie was helping her, but she betrayed Veronica by giving damning information to Ethel. Ethel handed out propaganda at Veronica’s pep rally and Betty withdrew as her running mate.
Betty and Chic are plotting against each other. Betty’s mother keeps siding with Chic and Betty does not feel safe at home. Jughead decided to run for student council president and Betty agreed to be his running mate – if Jughead let her live with him. He agreed.
Cheryl overheard a conversation between her mother and uncle and believed they were plotting against the grandmother and her. She was right.

Bad news. I have been watching the number of episodes of each show and I noticed the number went down for this show. Now I have missed 21 and 22 (though if I find them, I'll go ahead and watch). I never got around to rescuing them, but who knows what I would have lost if I had tried to save everything. I also lost two "Kevin Can Wait" episodes but that's not a concern since that show gets repeated. Besides, with Vanessa there, I dread watching.

I thought I had lost another one, but they're advertising that it is returning, meaning it has been gone. I don't know what replaced it, other than a Harry Potter special I wanted to watch but didn't have room for. I hope that gets repeated.

Yesterday I tried looking for the episodes. I may have found one but didn't take the time to watch. The other turned out to be a pretty girl with a very perky attitude which shouldn't be the case when we are going to be disappointed. I couldn't figure out what to click on to actually get to the episode and even if I had, there's usually some requirement to sign up for a site and I eventually would end up paying.

Riverdale is my guilty pleasure. Ordinarily, I would not like a show that features teenagers being so violent, dark, and vengeful. The characters are played so well, it is easy for me to see the reason they act the way they do. While watching, I often say I would never even think about doing the things they do. It is one of the most interesting shows I have watched.

Good news. I was looking through my choices on Netflix and they don't separate TV series from movies as well as I would like. This series is there. I just hope that means all of them. I'll watch Episode 10 on Thursday and that frees me to watch 10 more episodes on the TiVo over the weekend before I have to go back to Netflix. Watching with my TiVo is a problem because I might want to back up if I miss something and I haven't figured out how to do that.
I realized that I could watch any movie I wanted. Most will not be clean enough. I have no desire to see a movie with all the bad language and violence left in.

Riverdale is so much better than I anticipated, and this second season continues to hold my attention. All of the characters are interesting, and some of them are outstanding. Cheryl is perfect in her "Whatever happened to Baby Jane?" role. Archie is great as the son who will protect his family. I always enjoy Veronica's mercurial personality. She is warm and caring with her friends; then she is as cold as ice around her family. Jughead is still one of my favorites and I now enjoy seeing him and Betty together. Their friendship was a big surprise to me. There is a killer on the loose, and I am beginning to think Archie might be the catalyst for the murders. I like how Veronica is with her friends. Her behavior with her family is what one would expect. You would expect her to be more like Cheryl, but she only occasionally shows signs of being a spoiled brat. She actually did make an effort to help Archie at his house. I did think it was kind of inappropriate to join him in the shower, but I always welcome an opportunity to see her take her clothes off. Jughead seems to have adjusted to his new school but I hope he can come back. Fred's visions were interesting but they worried me. I have been careful to avoid spoilers. I know she deserves it but Cheryl shouldn't treat her mother like that. Someone please change Archie's bloody bandages.

Chapter Fifteen: NighthawksI really enjoy the drama in Riverdale. Archie is trying to protect his family from the man who shot his father and he bought a gun. He believed maybe Ms. Grundy’s ex-husband killed her and shot his father, but the sheriff said Grundy’s ex-husband had an air-tight alibi. Archie had given her the cello that was used to strangle her. At the end, it looked like it was Reggie who was shot and killed on lover’s lane. Pop’s diner had “killer diner” painted on the exterior and people stopped coming after the shooting. Betty was determined to save the diner and blackmailed Cheryl into helping. She succeeded in arranging for a huge crowd to come to the re-opening and it seemed like a positive beginning. Veronica’s parents showed up and offered to make a charitable donation to the diner. That seemed nice until we learned they actually bought the diner and let Pop stay on as manager. Betty’s mom came and snapped as many incriminating pictures as she could so she can write a scathing article. She smugly told Betty about the drug activity on the lot and that Hiram Lodge's donation to Pop was not charitable. Betty also blackmailed Cheryl into testifying on behalf of Reggie’s father so he will not spend 20 years in jail. Cheryl did that and hopefully it will work. This is as far as I've gotten on my own TiVo. And based on what else I've seen this week, it could be a while before I watch more. Well, we know now who killed Ms. Grundy. I was under the impression someone said it was Moose who was shot, but in a later episode he seemed to be alive. I was so happy the kids worked so hard to save Pop's. Mr. Lodge looks so different than he does in the comics. And I suspect he is the one who won favorite villain on the Teen Choice Awards. I didn't recognize the name but FP is not Latino. I guarantee he is not MY favorite villain. I like Smithers. He reminds me of a more subservient Alfred. It's a shame what happened. More to say when I comment on the other episodes I saw. Betty has gone over to the dark side. But I was glad Cheryl was able to help keep Jughead's father from spending more time in jail.

2.08 Chapter Twenty-One: House of the Devil
12-6-17
When Jughead learns that F.P. is getting released from prison, he and Betty organize a welcome home party; Archie and Veronica push their relationship issues aside to focus on the Black Hood investigation. See the Gotham Season 4 thread for why I watched this yesterday. Jughead was asked for a favor, and the lawyer who so nice and I didn't think it would be that bad, but it sure was. It's a shame Cheryl treated FP like that. He's trying to go straight. Or is he? he seems to be rejoining the gang. Someone mentioned "Ghoulies". That was a group on the original Archie cartoons. They looked mean but were really warm and fuzzy. I liked watching Archie and Veronica investigate, along with other stuff they did together. I forget which episode Betty had that upsetting stuff happen to her. And then there was the time she stripped. I knew her mom wouldn't be happy. And of course she was there.

2.09 Chapter Twenty-Two: Silent Night, Deadly Night
12-13-17
Veronica uncovers a major secret Hiram has been keeping from her; tensions mount between Jughead and FP; Penelope tells Cheryl they cannot afford Christmas this year; a showdown with the Black Hood. What a terrible episode. Even in the morning I couldn't see myself watching any more, but I had to see this while Netflix was still free. I have three more to go on the Fox website before they're gone from there. This show won so many Teen Choice Awards and the kids were so enthusiastic. I can't imagine why. Archie spoke for the group and of course he's Australian. Worse than anything else was hearing all that nice Christmas music in all those terrible situations. It's hard enough for me to enjoy Christmas. I did like seeing Cheryl in her sexy red PJs. Was that her father at the end? Shame on Hermione. She was so nice before her husband got home. Now Fred has all these medical bills and Veronica wants to help so that makes her a Communist. I don't have anything to see about Hiram because no one ever said he was anything but evil. But he's no Blake Carrington. By the end Christmas was sort of nice. I can't see myself watching any more episodes anytime soon. This was just too unpleasant. And in which episode did Jughead and the others take the lawyer out and do something unspeakable? not that she didn't deserve it ...
