The weird dream thread

I was in a classroom and there was violence going on outside so we had to lock the door.

I was too young to be a delegate when the Methodists from Western North Carolina got together in the mountains, and yet there I was in the crowd. I could have been a youth delegate, but I wasn't anything.

Last night (or the night before) I dreamed I won $140,000 at a slot machine.

But last Monday night, I dreamed a bunch of creepy children were saying, "You're going to die horribly."

Whatever group I was with, I had to leave in order to track down the lowest point in the area. I knew it would be beside one of the creeks, but it took me a while to figure out where the creek was. And nothing looked familar.

I was in a mall or office complex and I was waiting along with a bunch of kids to play some game at a table. It might have been on a computer. We had all signed a list so each one would have a turn. A lot of the kids were still dressed up because of the memorial service that had just taken place. Howard Stern was a bartender but I'm not sure if he was in that room. After all, most of us were kids.

I was living in a house where rats were drinking bottled water out of bottles just like people do.

I went to a church I used to go to, and of course nothing looked like it was supposed to. I was early but wanted to go to the traditional service at 11, but for some reason I walked in during the contemporary service. Only it didn't seem contemporary. Until the choir, wearing robes, started dancing. Afterward, I met a man who asked me if I listened to the radio. I know the options were real stations in that town. A woman walked out with me and we went to a shopping center, where she used the F-word many times.

Later the same night I dreamed I was passing by the stadium where the Carolina Panthers play and realized there was a big game. Never mind that there were almost no cars on the road. I went in some building where they were watching the game and found out it was a college game, and there were people giving out awards to famous alumni.

I woke up and could clearly remember the melody of a Christmas song I heard in the dream. I wish I had made some sort of record of what I remembered while I still did. The lyrics made no sense unless you added something about the fact that it's not Christmas this time of year. And I wish I had recorded those too.

Humans existed only in the movies watched by aliens.

I was sharing a room with several other guys and I remembered to do the exercises I do because I fell last year.

Something about a female cop being held prisoner and the Super Bowl.

Where I go on vacation in June, there were lots of bikers. Though it didn't look like where I go on vacation.

I was in a car with my father crossing a bridge that was about to fall apart. The replacement bridge was finished but the road connecting to it was not, so we couldsn't use the new bridge. Though I looked over and saw plenty of traffic on that bridge.

I had one dream about a fluffy Himalayan cat but that's all I remember.

I keep having dreams of this steep, steep road I'm driving down…. almost like falling off a cliff but not quite.

I also have recurring dreams of having to quickly pack all my belongings because somebody is coming…. and all my belongings are in shambles.

I had a dream last night that my car broke down and I had left a friend of mine at Walgreens… I was stuck on a corner and couldn't get back to Walgreens to drive us home.

In Houston, a new development was being built but they had to get rid of all the old buildings.

I was relieved they were moving them instead of tearing them down. Using balloons.

No, I didn't see "Up". When I finally got around to watching the episode of "America's Funniest Home Videos" I had taped, that's when I saw the announcer say that the movie was premiering that night. But I guess I must have remembered that the movie was on.

The retired baseball coach at the local college was in charge of something but I can't remember what. This is weird because he's so old in the real world that he needs a walker to get around.

I was wearing summer pajamas. Not really that weird, but it hasn't been warm enough for long enough yet, although I was wearing both the top and bottom of a set for which I haven't been able to find one or the other. I think it's the top I have.

I was sharing a very large bedroom with someone else.

I was in a huge grocery store and I ended up in the area of one of the restaurants inside the store that is for employees only. They didn't like it.

A doctoral student wrote a major newspaper article stating that because it was becoming the center of TV production, Atlanta would soon have a billion people.

I was in a tall building about to walk down the stairs when I stepped on broken glass and realized I wasn't wearing shoes.

The same night someone commented to my father that although he was poor, it motivated him to work harder.

Another night I was in my mother's bedroom, which didn't look like any bedroom I had ever seen, and I saw a book of art works where the people were naked.

I woke up in a large but clean bedroom and it was 20 minutes before time to put my wash in, but I decided to do it anyway.

A young child made a greeting card for me or for someone but it had no words. Just pictures.

I needed someone to fix the "display" on my computer and realized the person who fixed the sound earlier could do it.

These might not sound all that weird but that's because these are the only details I remember from dreams that were much weirder.

I was on a college campus and a girl who was up high yelled at me from a distance for breaking some rule, and then I ended up where she was, where she explained what I had done.

Jennifer Aniston, or at least someone who looks like her, was riding around in a golf cart or something (she was disabled) in a town I used to live in.

I was at a church which didn't look familiar but was supposedly mine. It was almost time for the early service (we don't have one) and I figured that would mean it would be contemporary, which is why I didn't want to be anywhere around. Then I figured out our conetmporary services are called "4-11" (fourth Sunday at 11, which is real), so this wasn't one of those. And Vicki Lawrence was sitting where those who lead the service were.

I couldn't listen to Mike Huckabee because my mother was trying to listen to Nine Inch Nails and I had to explain to her that they weren't what she thought they were.

I was in a large bedroom which was my mother's but one of my aunts was there instead. There was a back entrance in case of emergency.

Is that seriously all? There was so much that I could still remember when I first woke up.

She didn't look like AVP but I saw her in person and she supposedly was AVP. She wanted to charge me money for something and I protested that we pay not to see ads, so that should have taken care of it.

I was in a large building or complex of buildings and I needed help walking but I also helped someone else walk. So the three of us had to be arranged in a certain way.

My cousin who is women's basketball coach at Tulane (this is real) came home, or at least I saw her in person. Her hair was darker and longer and she didn't want her picture taken.

I couldn't go in the bathroom because my mother was soaking something and I needed her to remove it.

In a store Converse Chuck Taylors were only available in navy blue and army green.

At a theme park there was an attraction relating to Greg on "Dharma and Greg" which included another attraction relating to all the failed shows his co-star has appeared in.

All I remember is that I was in a large hospital room (I don't even remember if I was visiting or a patient) with several beds and something about celebrities such as Jackee who were signing autographs.
