The weird dream thread

There was one I had such a clear memory of, and I remembered so many details, but once I got up I had forgotten.

I do remember being in a competition with Aeryn which involved running.

And something about putting stuff on a camel to be carried somewhere, which is understandable because "The Simpsons" did something like that.

The main road through my town, sometimes called Number 8 and sometimes called Number 46, had changed from paved to gravel and was not connected to the new main road, Number 12.

I went to a store on the old main road and one of my relatives, or at least someone who was a relative in the dream, had to get my financial information out of the car.

There was a major flood, causing the place where some of us were to be essentially cut off from the world. We had to get out and go somewhere new, and even when we did, there was the possibility flooding would come our way. Meanwhile, we kept hoping some members of our group would show up. I was able to follow their progress, and yes, the flooding did come toward us, but not that close.

I was on the second floor doing something. I don't remember what. I don't even know where I was. But I think what I did started a fire on the first floor.

Action figures are sold based on one of my cousins.

I was in church (a church I somehow knew was mine but which didn't look like my actual church) and we were clebrating the 90th birthday of our oldest member, who's actually closer to 100, doesn't look quite like she looked in the dream, and doesn't sit where she was sitting. And there was a cake with candles but for some reason it disappeared.

I was looking up shows like I would in a Google search on my TiVo.

There is a way in real life to search for a show by title, but it's not nearly that easy. It's more like "Wheel of Fortune".

I drove Ashton Kutcher's car and also dreamed about him the same night. Sorry, that's all I remember. And I know I've had a bunch of weird dreams but by the time I can do anything about it, I've forgotten them. No it's hard enough to remember writing stuff down and that'll make it hard to go back to sleep.

I was in a house that I somehow knew belonged to myself and my father, but it didn't look familiar. I was looking for something for my father and couldn't find it. That's all I remember.

I dreamed I was on a bus with Grace Slick....also, I got banned from here.

I was out in the country and the vehicle I was in, driven by someone else I think, got stuck in the mud. At some point, I got in a car and drove through the mud just fine. Then I heard sirens and saw a great big bus.

I was in a tourist-oriented town in the mountains with lots of motels. But even though it was supposedly familiar, it didn't look like anything I had ever seen before.

On another night someone online was using a username similar to mine (not the one I use here) and I was getting in trouble for it. I was told that it's all right if it's a different name because that proves it's not me. Well, of course it's not me--the other person is trying to harass me!

I'm having these recurring dreams where I'm driving down a road, but the road suddenly drops like a rollercoater hill in front of me.

I get the distinct feeling of leaning over the edge of a huge height and about to fall down.

I had a dream Jeff and Aeryn had quadruplets and named them Tom, Dick, Harry and Moe

A lesbian couple was getting in a car. One who was apparently bisexual was still upset that at age 32 she had just lost her 33-year-old boyfriend.

I had a dream yesterday where my dad wasn't my dad, he was my boyfriend instead, weird!

AVP, you moved out of the trailer on the grounds into a dorm room in the main building.

The main building of what I don't recall. But I went inside to visit you.

I hurt my leg getting up to go to the bathroom and it had to be reported using the same system as injuries to the kids bouncing on the trampoline I saw at the mall.

The trampoline and the kids were real, and my leg did hurt briefly before I got back and bed because of the way I moved it.

I dreamed I was able to find the web site where I used to spend a lot of time communicating with people.

In reality, Google's caches still have a few pages, but that surely won't last much longer.

The radio station at 1450 in Myrtle Beach was easy listening. I mean even easier than the FM station at 105.9.

Now here's what's weird: I told my parents about this dream. But I was still dreaming. And I knew such a thing was possible because in this dream I knew 1180 AM was classical. Up until a few weeks ago, that was true in the real world.

I was at a college where there was some sort of presentation on a stage. I remember being behind the scenes but can't remember details. I just know it was weird. Then I was in a lecture hall which was supposedly a big one but it had no chairs. And it wasn't big either.

I was in a college classroom and someone sitting at a computer thanked me for my help. I didn't know what he was talking about because all I ever did was ask for help. He said it was the project where I once said I was taking my mountain and going home.

Also, Katherine Chancellor on "The Young and the Restless" was still alive.

Three construction workers sang "Y.M.C.A."

Cam and Mitch from "Modern Family" were teaching, and I was in a car with both of them. Mitch was 99 but looked half that age. Phil was there too but acting weird.

I was in the mountains and started walking from the auditorium to the highest point I can walk to without trespassing, except nothing looked like it really does.

On another night, the night before three people sat in the choir at my church when in fact someone else sang, the same three people were the only ones singing in the choir at my church and they were walking through a room I had never seen and going down a lot of stairs. One of them thought he forgot his hymnal but it was under his arm.

I saw my aunt who lives in Texas in another dream.

The librarian at the college library near where I live was a librarian at a much bigger library. I say bigger because there were many more staff members. There was a camera and I didn't want anyone to see me, so I hid. They were all dancing because of some cartoon character.

I went in my father's bathroom and discovered his toilet hadn't been flushed. It was also in the place I expected the sink to be and vice versa. The bathroom, in fact, looked nothing like the one in the real world. Then I flushed and it overflowed, getting the bath mat wet and even going into the bathtub. My father's bathroom actually has a shower, not a tub.

I got the address of an electrical substation to report a problem I could see from 150 miles away. I also saw the same substation close up in the same dream.

I dreamed I saw Mark Valley of "Boston Legal" returning from somewhere on an interstate.

And that a group of black people were taking some sort of legal action because of racism. Now I don't control what I dream but for some reason I saw them as chocolate chips (used for cookies) attached to a wall.
