^^^ To me, last night's episode was sad, what we learn at the end and the fact that Sheldon never did make it to Cape Canaveral.
God bless you and Iain (Sheldon) always!!!

Even though Sheldon and his father usually did not communicate well, it was the best road trip they ever took together. It is sad Sheldon never mentioned that to his father.
Upon reflection, mature Sheldon realizes his father was not as dumb as he thought. George, Jr. makes me laugh when he states the obvious, like "Looks like rain." He does that very well.
Mary loves her Sheldon and protects him from everyone, including the family.
Meemaw and the sister might be kindred spirits. I shook my head when she said they went to a gun range together.
p.s. On last night's episode of "Family Feud", one of the contestants was referred to as Meemaw. "Young Sheldon" was the first I heard that term.

This was a great episode. Sheldon's father really went out of his way to be nice to Sheldon (even pretending to be dumb) and George Jr. just had to put up with it. What a shame it rained. One thing I thought about was the fact that so many launches get postponed, and this turned out to be one of those that did.
I just knew Sheldon would be all packed and ready.
The girls had a good time and that was fun.
I was surprised at the amount of detail Mary went into about Sheldon's bathroom habits. We know what he does in the morning, but I wasn't aware he had another schedule.
Mary raised her siblings because her parents didn't seem to care. My mother did the same. Although she was the last to have children, meaning me, she had experience as a mother after her mother died when she was a teenager and she had to take a big role in raising her two younger sisters.

Tonight's show was great! I loved watching Sheldon pick of Georgie's mess with a pencil. I wonder if the parents ever find out about his cheating on that math test.
God bless you and Iain (Sheldon) always!!!

P.S. I wanted to help him up that rope at the end so badly.

I never had to climb a rope in P.E. class. But I didn't take P.E. after ninth grade.
I have to wonder how Mary became so religious when Meemaw clearly isn't.
Sheldon taught a class as an adult but as I recall he wasn't very good at it. I was hoping he'd be able to help George Jr. but apparently not. Now in trigonometry class we were allowed to use what was called the religious chart. Someone who had one of those took it to college and it was very valuable there. I don't remember whether it had everything that George Jr. had on his shoe. That was algebra, so probably not.
Letting Sheldon not follow rules was opening a real can of worms and I hope that doesn't go overboard.

^^^ 9th grade was my last time being in a P.E. class. I never had to climb a rope either. God bless you always!!! Holly P.S. I did shoot a bow and arrow then and I actually did better than I thought I would. You had to get at least 12 points to where you didn't have to try again and 12 points is what I got.

I saw Kevin on "Home Alone" in a special that aired on The CW. In those clips he reminded me so much of Young Sheldon.

I appreciate last night's three episode re-airing of this show so much. It was my first time seeing when Sheldon's dad got sick. When I watched George Jr. follow that ambulance, I was like, "I hope they don't end up at a different hospital should there be more than one!" Where in Texas does the family reside?
God bless you always!!!

The Principal had better be careful talking about Mary's Sheldon, but it was funny when he said they had considered Sheldon might be an alien.

I enjoyed the episode. Mary, Meemaw, and Sissy were going to miss Sheldon the most, and it was sweet that Missy tried to communicate with her twin telepathically. I think George and George, Jr. would have been okay with a temporary absence, but George had a protective expression on his face when he glanced at Sheldon on the back seat on the way home.
The teachers were hilarious when they were drinking strong alcohol at 11 AM after learning Sheldon was returning. Their discussion on how to send him out of the classroom was funny.
Meemaw is very insulting to Georgie, but it is comical the way he does not get upset.

The show would never work if Sheldon went to the type of school he needs. They'll just have to put up with him.
I was very surprised that in 1990, people that old listened to that kind of music. Today, maybe, but not then. I say 1990 because I saw a suggestion that this was a new year.
I liked how Missy reacted.
And I liked the alien comment.
And Sheldon knocked at Meemaw's door the way he does Penny's door.

Last night's re-airing was another episode I had not seen yet and to me, its official. Sheldon's mother is a complete and total pain in the butt! After ruining the arrangement that Sheldon was trying to make with the loan officer, she tells him "No." when he asked for a ride to Radio Shack! If it weren't for his dad, Sheldon never would've gotten anywhere in life! Why does he have to be the one who eventually dies???
God bless you always!!!

Demons, Sunday School, and Prime Numbers
This is one more show that has featured that darn game which I never watched anyone play. Oh well...
This was an excellent episode and I enjoyed watching it. Iain is fantastic as Sheldon and he seems so natural when he voices lofty ideas. I did laugh at the thought that his new religion, Mathology, will include why we should love prime numbers.
The woman who works in the school library is so depressed, but Sheldon thought her comments were amusing.
Meemaw's Jewish boyfriend gave Sheldon excellent advice - if you are going to live in Texas, remain a Baptist. That was cute.

I was surprised Sheldon worked so hard at learning about religion, until I realized he was studying all religions. And his pastor didn't like that. Baptists think theirs is the only one.
I thought Sheldon would be impressed that Catholics eat Jesus and drink his blood. Although I guess Baptists do almost the same thing. When we do it, it is a representation. We did it yesterday.
I didn't think Meemaw was religious. She's like Ruby on "Black-ish", apparently. Actually, Ruby acts all pious, trying to save the lost, but certain sins are all right for her to do anyway, mainly sex outside marriage and attempting to murder her ex-husband and destroying his boat. Rainbow's sister was worse. She "found Jesus" but acted about as religious as Donald Trump.
The man with the chickens was Mike on "Mike and Molly". He wasn't from the South and didn't have an accent, though.

Tonight's show was good although I couldn't help but notice the hiccup on the writer's part. If Mr. Cooper went forward when Sheldon was 13 like I've been told, that would put his brother at like 18 by then. Therefore Mr. Cooper was already gone by the time Georgie got married which meant that their bet didn't mean anything anymore.
God bless you always!!!

When Sheldon and his mom talked recently on the other show, it occurred to me that the set decorator for this show probably had to pay attention to how the house looked when adult Sheldon went back home. It wouldn't be identical, but it would have to look similar.
Being obsessed with computers is only the beginning. At this point, the Internet is not something the average person can use, though we have seen that Sheldon can.
Sheldon's mom does have a job skill. She started to show her independence in this episode.
I liked how his sister acted.
I liked the way Georgie and his father interacted. I'm not sure who would play Georgie as an adult, but one possibility is Tyler Labine. He looks like Tyler on "Kevin" and is also a loser in the roles I've seen him do. "Reaper" was on The CW and I was so sorry I never watched that. But there was another show where he pretended to be guardian to some orphaned rich kids and they put him out with the garden tools instead of letting him live in the house. That show didn't last. But the kids were so smart.

I enjoyed the episode. When I was at a Radio Shack store, I did the same thing Sheldon did. I asked the computer questions and was impressed that it responded, but it did not take long to realize they were canned responses. I felt stupid at the time, but now I don't because computers can respond to questions.
Georgie makes me laugh more than any other character on the show. He delivers his lines convincingly and lets the insults roll off of him. He thought he was clever when he explained the movie title "E.T." was derived from the first and last letters of Elliott's name. I laughed so hard at that and at his father's reaction.
Missy is not as mean to Sheldon as I thought she was. In fact, at her age, I would probably react the same way she does.
Mary loves Sheldon too much for me to not like her. She set aside money she earned rather than money George gave her for the home, so I am okay with that. Almost $1,000 for beer in 1989 is equivalent to almost $2,000 in 2018 because of the inflation rate. She used her money to purchase something that Sheldon wanted instead of spending it on herself. Good mommy.
