I was really enjoying the episode, especially the parts with Sheldon, until the tornado. I thought they'd just make the tornado something they were more worried about than they had to be. It was obvious from the episode title there would be one. It did give the pastor a reason to find out about the gambling.
Why did the pastor wonder why Meemaw was in a closet? I would think any laundromat would have an office.
But George and Missy having to get out of the car was really unsettling on a show that is usually really light. I didn't like the way the episode changed tone so drastically. However, Missy crying and realizing how naughty she had been was a good result. I wish it had happened a different way. And it's inconsistent with adult Sheldon saying how she behaved in the summer.
What I really didn't like was what happened to Meemaw's house. I did like the jokes related to her staying at the Coopers' place but again, it needed to happen a different way. I am curious how they filmed that. I saw a church in the background. Is that theirs?
And Sheldon and Mary staying in Germany even after what happened?
Just today I saw an article saying Henry Winkler was quite depressed after he was no longer The Fonz and couldn't get jobs.

^^^ I can't help but wonder if Reba McEntire's character could be the perpetrator. She's been on the ABC show named Big Sky this past season which is why she has not been on Young Sheldon lately. With Big Sky not coming back in the fall, maybe she can return to Young Sheldon. She would be the perfect person to be the one who broke into the gambling room due to the money that MeMaw could still owe her from the last time that we saw her on there. Go here for a new write up concerning the current status of this show. To me, maybe a delay is just the thing that is needed. If another year has to go by before new episodes are given to us, the powers that be will then know just how many people are loyal to the show when they see how many people tune in after a longer wait. ^^^ I wonder if there is a chance that the fans could make the show get an eighth season by writing into the powers that be whoever they are. I've read that the fans are the reason why the show named S.W.A.T. was given one more year.

Tonight's new episode was good, but what I want to know is why didn't the preacher give back whatever was left of the found money after that new TV was purchased? I believe that Officer Robin said that she found $1,230 of MeMaw's money. I highly doubt the TV was that expensive and so there had to have been money left over. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the preacher letting his police officer wife know about MeMaw's gambling space right after he told MeMaw that he wouldn't say anything about it to anyone.
When I saw Missy making breakfast, I was like, "Girl don't bust off your backend too hard because chances are that you are still going to be grounded for drinking and smoking with the preacher's niece and all of that was after you had the guts to steal your dad's truck. In other words, you have way too much of a track record now in order for a punishment reduction to be in your deck of cards."

P.S. My favorite part of the show was seeing Walker, Texas Ranger on the TV that was in the preacher's house. That show first started in the spring of 1993 and so I am guessing that the tornada was in the summer of 1993 if not sometime later.

Great episode, but as it became clear it was almost over, I wished they hadn't had anything from Germany. I didn't see how they could make it funny after the way the last one ended, but they sure did.
I was amazed at how mature and responsible Missy was. This is inconsistent with her "Big Bang" character. Also, she looks older.
When was there a police officer?
Why is "Walker, Texas Ranger" considered a family show? The new CW version is about a family but not particularly family-friendly.
I liked the music in Germany but I'm almost at the point where I agree with those who say continue the show without Sheldon.

I found an old episode which it's possible I haven't seen. I don't remember whether I retrieved it from the trash. I found two episodes there and was concerned I might have deleted them accidentally because I can't seem to figure out how to stop the remote from affecting one TiVo and not the other.

Tonight's show was good, but of course I was only left with questions. When Sheldon was shown in class after talking to Dr. Linkletter, my question was, why wasn't Sheldon like this when Paige was his challenge?
The situation concerning MeMaw only made me wonder how much of her lost money did she herself find not including what ended up in the hands of the preacher's wife. Speaking of the preacher, will MeMaw get any help out of him and everyone that goes to the church or has the church congregation turned on her as well with her being connected to the Cooper family? Also, Mandy suggesting that she and Georgie get married sooner only made me wonder if she was wanting them to get married before Sheldon and Mrs. Cooper got home from Germany because Mrs. Cooper would go crazy if they did that and as much as she normally gets on my last nerve, I wouldn't blame her.
How much longer is Mr. Cooper going to let Missy act like she is in charge of the household when she is supposed to be grounded?

It bothered me to see Sheldon in this situation, but he had it coming. And now it will help him be who he will become. I loved it when he talked to Dr. Linkletter.

Also, she's starting to become less responsible as she delegates to the others. Still, she seems to be in charge and that's not consistent with the "Big Bang" character.
I found an episode that I might not have seen on an older TiVo. The reason I say might is that there are no new shows getting recorded to cause anything to be deleted from the deleted folder. So I don't know if I saw it and deleted it. The best thing is to see which episode, come here and see if I saw it, and watch if I haven't.

^^^ Before Sheldon left for Germany, he told his parents that Missy was sneaking out at night with the preacher's niece. Drinking and smoking is how they spent their time together. Missy is supposed to be grounded for the whole summer. The preacher's niece was sent to another family member.

I agree about Georgie. He's got a job he can do and that could lead to a career. What's football going to do for him? I got really concerned about how Sheldon adapted to his situation but we knew he was going to go back to science. And his professor came through. Missy continues to improve as a character but Billy worries me. This is the one. I can delete it. |

Tonight's show was good. When Georgie held up the TV Guide headline, I googled to see when that marriage made the news. June of 1993 is when it happened and so now, we know what year the show's current setting is. The given preview at the end tells us that Sheldon and his mom come home which makes me wonder what will be happening with Mandy because she has been staying in Sheldon's room while he's been gone. What I would like to know is how things went for her when she tried out for the weather lady job before the previous season came to its end. Were the people at the news station able to look past what was going on with her personally at the time?

Really good episode.
Iain sounds like Jim. When he was on the phone I actually thought it was Jim (the narrator and Sheldon in the original series). By the way, I saw Jim in "Hidden Figures" as a character similar to Sheldon except not a genius. Just a jerk. Katherine Johnson was the genius and he was trying to stand in her way. I will not have a woman make me look bad!

It was a very good episode and I too expected a scene with the president.
On another site I go to they believe Sheldon not knocking enough led to two things: his habit of knocking a certain number of times, and his statement that his father cheated. Both of these are only familiar to "Big Bang Theory" fans. And I don't remember a lot of the details about his early life from that show. People excuse the inconsistencies by saying Sheldon can't remember accurately.

^^^ Reba plays the ex-wife of a character that Melissa's character doesn't have anything to do with and so I don't know. Reba's character works as a hairdresser and so if she were to be shown at her job again, it could be written that Melissa is there as one of her hair customers. Reba's character is also supposed to be a partner where Memaw's "casino" is concerned. Reba and Melissa's characters could cross paths in that way at anytime too.

Tonight's show was good, but I couldn't help but wonder if we have seen the last of Pastor Rob. MeMaw said that it's a seven-mile bike ride to get from Dale's house back to the Cooper's street which of course is where she herself lived. I am guessing that she sold her vehicles to have money to put towards her house recovery. The attitude that Billy's mom had about him and Missy throwing a party in her house didn't surprise me but what I would like to know is if any rules at all were given. Considering the fact that visiting a severely sick relative is the reason why she is gone, coming home to a mess would be the last thing that she needs. Speaking of mess, I pray that Missy's mess ended up on the floor and not the church collection plate. God bless you always!!! Holly P.S.
