I hope this is as good as Stephen King's "Misery".

This might have been one of their most interesting character-driven dramas. Young ladies were being abducted, kept for a while, and then killed. A CI who met Pride back in 2002 came to the station when Pride was leaving for a trip with his daughter. She was upset that Pride would not remain and help her with a missing person case. She followed him, tasered him, and tied him up in a remote cabin.
She had been investigating a string of abductions that had similarities, but no police department would listen to her. She was frustrated, stopped taking her meds, and was acting irrational and dangerous. She considered Pride her mentor and truly admired him. She demanded he look at the evidence and collaborate with her.
Although she hurt Pride, she really did know what she was talking about. The latest victim was a member of the Navy who was reported missing, and the NCIS unit did the legwork to locate the perp and rescue the victim.

I am watching episodes of NCIS: New Orleans and they are excellent.
"Viral" focused on Sebastian’s ordeal after he shot a man while on duty. Sebastian said the man shot at him before he returned fire. The NOPD could not find a gun nor traces of a bullet. The victim appeared to be a tourist on vacation with his wife.
The NCIS team was trying to capture an international assassin. Capturing him would also provide proof of Sebastian’s innocence.
I enjoyed the drama very much.

"Acceptable Loss" was an unusual episode about a pretty woman who targeted military men with high security clearance. She wanted access to files containing the truth about her father’s death. She was not a sympathetic character because she murdered three officers and the brother of another officer.
LaSalle volunteered to pretend to be the officer she was targeting and she murdered him…well, almost. His heart stopped beating for four minutes before Agent Pride injected him with something to bring him back.
In addition to almost dying, LaSalle had issues with his father. His father insisted LaSalle quit his job and come back to run the family business. His father had no respect for LaSalle's career. When LaSalle told his father he would not run the family business, his father got up and walked away from him.

"Sins of the Father" involved the U.S. Marshalls, a dangerous chemical weapons dealer, Danny's girlfriend named Emily, Dr. Wade's anger, and Pride's determination to rescue a kidnapped Danny.
Although Pride has broken rules in his determination to get justice, to save Danny, Pride went off the rails like never before.
I think Pride scared himself because he contacted Dr. Christo of the BAU and agreed to meet with her. We should now learn why Pride goes to any length to seek justice. Should be an interesting story.

“The Accident” was about the possibility that a neural implant was causing vets in a clinical trial to zap out and harm people.
We learned a lot about Patterson. He has three ex-wives and one of them was the mastermind behind the neural implant. He is also a thrill seeker who likes paragliding, bungy jumping and driving too fast.

Watched the last two episodes and now they are on a brief break until December 31.
"Mirror, Mirror" brought to a close the story arc about Clearwater. I am happy that is over, and I like the way it was resolved.
Also, Pride chose to speak to the parole board in favor of paroling his father, whom he hates. It seems the feeling is mutual.

This was a really good episode. I loved seeing Sebastian in the spotlight and he showed excellent skill. Apparently, he has gotten over his angst that resulted from shooting a man. When he and his friend was attacked, he protected them more than once. He also took charge while Pride was away. LaSalle and Gregorio were stunned at the way he started barking orders. I enjoyed all of it.

I have to be proud of Pride. He did not let a long-standing friendship stop him from investigating a crime that involved his friends. He uncovered damaging information, but also saved some lives, with the help of his team, of course.

Empathy
This is the most exciting episode I have seen for this show. The man they thought was trying to assassinate Molly was lethal, and no one he came in contact with was a match for him. He easily killed other assassins, overcame Pride's team, then later escaped from three deputies. And that is not all.
We learned Pride's mother has dementia or a similar illness. This came to light after LaSalle became upset while he was trying to get his bi-polar brother released from a mental facility. There was a nice end scene where Pride connected with his mother through music over his cell phone.
