Before moving on, I want to compliment Alex on her impressive acrobatic flip when confronting an adversary in a recent episode. Probably a stunt person, right? Kara introduced a nominated musical last night on The Tonys. And she is starring on Broadway. I had no idea. My church is part of a project to collect oral history. The woman in charge is a friend of my pastor and a doctoral student at UNC-Chapel Hill. Now J'onn's father may not be doing the same thing. There may be some Martian technology to preserve his memories. I did not know she was on Broadway. That is exciting. It probably seems strange, but I was thinking that J'onn's father would actually transfer his memories to J'onn's brain, perhaps with a mind-meld. I do not recall now what he said to make me think that. |

I did not know she was on Broadway. That is exciting. I had to look it up. I thought I would remember. She is Carole King in the musical about her life. That would be of interest to the "Gilmore Girls" fans. |

It was an exciting episode. Supergirl cannot defeat the Kryptonians by herself. It was brave of Sam to go to that creepy place again to try to get stronger. I am not sure what she needs to do now that she is there, but I hope it works.
It was unfortunate Winns' co-worker was attacked by three adversaries at the same time; otherwise, the belt would have worked.
J'onn's father offered to make a big sacrifice in order to stabilize the earth's core. We have to wait until the next episode to see what he does.

she should try and get superman because like you said she won't be able take them on herself and J'onn's father I bet dies next week have to wait and see maybe they keep him around for next season.

I think you are right that J'onn's father will die a hero's death next week. However, he never finished transferring his memories.

I hate Winn's co-worker didn't make it.
There were some funny moments, mostly with Winn.
I was pleased at J'onn's father's reaction to the news his help was needed. Not pleased that they couldn't finish the memory transfer. His mind seemed good. I don't understand the blue handcuffs.
It was nice that Kara's mother got to come to Earth. They sure got there fast.
I'm sure there's more to say but I'm running out of time before the computer's scheduled restart.

I was having so many computer problems I finished really late Friday. So I have more to say. Sam was so determined to do whatever it took, even if it meant risking her life. Ruby didn't need to be there, and she was finally convinced to leave.
Alex met Alex! Yes, I've been calling her Alex for all these years, because she was a doctor on her other show.

Episode title sounds as if someone will lose a battle. My guess is Myr'nn will lose the battle regarding memory loss. Anything else will probably be a tragedy.

I read this when you posted, but I did not have time to respond. Think of the blue handcuffs as a power dampener, similar to what is used on meta-humans in "The Flash". When J'onn's father created mayhem in the DEO because his powers were out of control, they needed him to wear the dampeners sometimes. |

I think the finale was satisfying even though we are losing (at least temporarily) some good characters.
Supergirl and Sam were standing and watching as the wraiths appeared; then, they were lying on the ground and Mon-El was pointing the blue rock at them. I wondered what was going on, and we did not learn why until the very end. I guess the comic book readers know what is about to happen, but I will have to wait until next season.
I enjoyed the episode and thought a lot of it was exciting. I am happy that Winn should no longer feel guilty about his state-of-the-art device.
