"How bad are the oncologists on The Good Doctor that not one, not two, but three different MDs would misdiagnosis Glassman with terminal brain cancer, only to discover after a biopsy that it wasn’t so dire after all?"

Melendez and Glassman were on "Pyramid" last night. They were terrible. But they got better. I'm trying to remember if anyone won the big money. I think one contestant came close but she thought Lance Armstrong was an astronaut.
I liked what Melendez said at the beginning. There were two doctors in his family but now there are three. One of the other doctors doesn't appreciate it when he says that.

The blonde doctor seemed to be following advice she was given by accepting Claire's suggestion but when Claire's idea didn't seem likely to work it gave her the opportunity to blame Claire.
I hate to see Jared leave the show because he has gone from a character I despised in the premiere to really nice. I was hoping his departure could be reversed.
Wasting hospital resources would be a problem, I guess, but they can't just ignore what might have been wrong. Once again, Shaun saved the day, but it seems to me when the man couldn't see where to put his hand, it would have been easier to figure out why.
Shaun finally knew he had to be a friend to Glassman.
Is that Shaun's old neighbor back again?

Freddie Highmore should have gotten an Emmy nomination.
Glassman was being way too picky. Maybe he'll finally be all right. I get that he's worried about consequences.
Shaun was hard on his former neighbor but I guess his reaction is understandable.
Shaun is learning to lie. Maybe it's for the best. The janitor didn't really want to go through with the surgery.
Anyone notice Shaun had a Rubik's Revenge?
Dr. Lim was lucky but she may not be out of the woods. These controversial cases have a way of coming back.

36 hours is too long for a shift. I was surprised Dr. Mark Sloan (who solved murders in his CBS series) supported long shifts for his residents. He was such a nice man but he argued patients get better care if they have the same doctor the whole time they are in the hospital. I wouldn't agree. If they're exhausted, how can they give good care?
I couldn't believe they left the woman under for all that time. Couldn't they have gone in again once they discovered the new problems? And how could her husband stay around for so long? Did he sleep somewhere? Meanwhile, that nurse shouldn't have acted like that but I don't know that Dr. Melendez should have asked her to leave. he needs skilled people if they don't do anything really terrible. Claire was the one to talk to the husband because she's really good at it. That's not criticizing her abilities. And Dr. Melendez talking to the husband later was to keep Claire from having to do something really hard. Good for Claire for standing up for the husband.
Shaun was kind of mean to Lea. The blonde doctor was wrong about how women treat Shaun. Not everyone would see him as more than a friend.
Once again Shaun came through with the solution.
I feel sorry for Glassman but I guess he's getting better. When I as in the hospital I didn't sleep much.

Forgot about Dr. Lim! She stood up for her rights but that got her thrown in jail. Shaun and the blonde doctor needed her, though, but the judge was unfair. I hope she can appeal.

It was a good episode and this is still one of my favorite shows. I have said previously that there is too much chatter while they are in the operating room, and this time it led to more discord than usual. Unless Melendez is doing something ill-advised, his team should shut up and follow his lead. Accusing him of being sexist was also wrong because I did not take his remark that way at all. But when called in by Dr. Andrews, all three of them swallowed any residual anger and handled themselves admirably.
I think Dr. Melendez and Dr. Andrews have turned out to be nicer than I first thought.
Yes, Shaun was harsh with Lea. He needed to tell her how he felt, but he did not express it kindly. I hope she understands it is not good to waltz in and out of his life.
I hope this post makes sense. I am in pain and it is difficult for me to express my thoughts clearly.

I enjoyed some of the drama, but not all of it. Dr. Glassman’s hallucinations with Maddie went on much too long and were depressing. I was amused when Shaun proudly said he kept Glassman’s secret for thirty minutes.
The rock climber reminded me of an interview I saw recently. The man also did it without gear and said mostly the same thing the girl said. He did not fall. I think they said the girl had fallen four times. I respect the parents for doing what they did to save their daughter’s life even though it broke their hearts that she cut them out of her life. It was inappropriate to mention Dr. Browne's personal background issues during the intervention between the 18 year old and her parents.
Melendez has a heart.
I think Lea handled the argument with Shaun in a selfish way, but I do not dislike her. I enjoyed Shaun’s attempts to woo Lea back into friendship. The last thing he said to her when they were doing karaoke made me burst out laughing.

I was confused when Shaun said he kept the secret for thirty minutes. During that time he went back to be with Lea and even changed clothes. Unless we weren't seeing what happened in order. Shaun is having a hard time with Lea, but she wants him to actually care about her and be interested in what happens to her.
I liked Dr. Glassman's conversations with Maddie but they got really unpleasant. Her hair color kept changing. I thought she was blonde but her hair looked red most of the time. I liked how he was finally able to resolve some issues.
Melendez visited that girl and it reminded me the choir director/organist at my church, who has been there only a few years, has a daughter who is in a group home. She comes to our church too. My pastor used to know a group of people with disabilities and they came to our church at least once. And one girl came by herself, not with a group.
The kid who needed to be in a group home was more than his mother could handle. She tried. we shouldn't be too hard on her.
The younger Shaun sure looked like Shaun. I can't remember whether we've seen him before. Is he the same actor who was in scenes with the brother?

They did a good job of casting for young Shaun.

I enjoyed this episode. The funniest thing was when an orderly ate the chocolate chip muffin Shaun had purchased as a bribe. Shaun kept trying and it turned out well eventually.
I am happy for Shaun and Lea.
I must agree with Dr. Melendez' decision to cut the doctor from his team. He would be an ineffective leader if he let his staff continue to undermine his decisions, specifically if they disobey him and go directly to the patient to offer experimental treatment that has not been approved.
I do not have an opinion on the relationship where the man was hiding his former excessive weight from his husband. Wasn't the husband on "Scandal"?

I thought the funniest thing was Shaun referring to what Dr. Glassman was not doing, and I don't mean walking. I liked how they finally got him to walk. I forgot he would have an easier time than I did.
I'm not comfortable with the Shaun and Lea living together but it was funny that she referred to about him possibly seeing her naked. If they are just friends and it's the only way to afford an apartment, then I guess it's okay. I didn't like how they went back and forth. I know the landlord probably wasn't. He's already frustrated with Shaun without being told "Yes we do" and "No we don't".
I'm confused about how Shaun goes back and forth so fast. I don't think these events are being shown in order. Now Iris I could understand ...
Claire is so smart but I guess Melendez was right. The success of the procedure depended on getting the woman to change her attitude. Only Claire's plan seemed to finally accomplish that.
I didn't know the husband. Surely he wouldn't have been that shallow, but it would be something to be concerned about if the man gained that much weight again, for many reasons. I wasn't sure how much the husband knew and I was surprised when he seemed to already know something I thought the man was hiding.

Unfortunately, the woman did become detached (emotionally) from her son. The family would eventually notice the change in her.
I did not pick up on the gastric by-pass patient's husband knowing anything his husband had been hiding. When he was told the patient could possibly regain the weight, he responded he wished he did not know that. I interpreted that as he would now worry about it.

Shaun and Lea's differences turned out better than I expected. I did not like it when he became very upset, but I understood her being frustrated. Shaun looked crestfallen when he thought Lea was going to leave, then I loved his joyful expression when she said she would stay.
I thought it was bold of Lea to come to Dr. Glassman's home uninvited, but she usually does whatever she wants. Both Lea and Shaun will need to practice compromising.
I was glad Shaun's diagnosis was correct, but it was very sad the lady needed drastic surgery. I thought the patient was unfair to Dr. Reznick. Not much time had passed since she entered the hospital and the outcome would probably have been the same.
I still enjoy Dr. Park's views when they contrast with Dr. Browne's. Dr. Browne's insistence lead to the discovery of what was really wrong with the teenager.
Although the elevator ride was very awkward, I still laughed when Dr. Reznick joined the other two doctors. I hope Melendez is moving on after his break up with the lady who did not want to have children.

Shaun reminds me of me when he with Lea. Ann Landers finally settled the toilet paper question after hearing from many of her readers, saying it should go under. Ann Landers, of course, was wrong. And I don't even put it on a holder any more. I just put it on its side on top of whatever surface is handy.
It bothered me to see Shaun so upset too. At least they may be able to live together. I thought Lea's conversation with Dr. Glassman was funny.
The actor playing Dr. Glassman actually fell. I went back to see if it was stunt man but it was really him. He needed that walker after all. I know when I came home I was supposed to use one but I didn't really need it. But his problem is balance.
Claire is so good with people and Shaun isn't. I guess we are supposed to laugh at Shaun when he comes up with an outrageous diagnosis, but he's usually right.
I was surprised Reznick was so caring. Given the nature of her problem, she was never going to keep that arm and live.
I wish they wouldn't have a life-threatening emergency every week. You care about a person and then worry they might die. That's one reason this show is not in my top ten … yet. At least they figured out what was wrong with the girl and the surgery wasn't overdoing it.

I do laugh at the way Shaun announces horrific possibilities right in front of the patient. I have accepted he will continue to do that even though he has been told to stop.

The episode summaries in my local paper and on my TiVo were so formal. Why not call them Shaun and Morgan?
Claire did such a good job in this episode. Only because of Claire's friend demanding it was Claire even in the operating room but that may have actually saved her. At least for now. But Melendez has to stand by his decision, and it apparently won't happen again.
The brother who donated the kidney would have also had risks. But he wasn't right to demand his brother do what he wanted. Shaun handled it all well.
Lea is becoming easier to take, but she is still a challenge. A dog or cat would be the last thing they need. A fish might work but as we saw it has its own problems. I wonder how Shaun was allowed to use hospital resources to get the pet store to give them a replacement free?

Another new episode.
I should mention what happened to me earlier in the week. I sneezed and my nose felt really weird. I found out why when I saw blood on my arm. My nose was running, but not in the usual way. After a few minutes of using Kleenex, it stopped, but I was worried there for a minute.
It wasn't ideal, but it appears after pressure was put on Melendez to make sure Claire didn't leave, he is willing to accept her contributions to his surgeries. Yes, the hospital can't lose two "diverse" residents.
I'm worried about Dr. Glassman.
I noticed they managed to avoid having Lea in the episode.
