Did anyone here see this new ABC show on Thursday night? I just now saw it through my cable company's On Demand feature and to me, it wasn't bad. I hope that it can stick around at least for one whole season if it can't go longer than that.

I was reluctant to watch another show with Dr. Hart of "Hart of Dixie", and I'm not a cop show type of person. Okay, "iZombie" s a cop show. But it's funny too. And yet once I found out she was on, I couldn't resist. It's been long enough and we don't have those romantic plots (not yet, anyway) that turn the show into garbage.
I was definitely not ready for George from that show. Besides, he worked with a bunch of geeks and their street-smart but otherwise clueless secretary (or so I'm told) and that's too much like my real life. That and "Big Bang Theory". Same thing, but comedy rather than action.
And it took a while. Sam was not at all convincing as a cop. And high heels? Ridiculous. She would be chasing suspects. I have to admit she did a great job catching that suspect and went on to use the same move later.
So what we have is another spoiled brat like Britney Spears who shows off what is under her dress to the whole world. Or maybe not. The more we see, the more intelligent she is. She actually knows what to do and when she started questioning people, she showed she really knows what she is doing and does not depend on writers.
Naturally she won't obey when told to be quiet and stay out of the way. And while that seemed perfectly logical to begin with, her expertise proved valuable.
Eddie doesn't need her. Or maybe he does. All those people show up wanting her. Even though he's the expert. I guess he has to hire her now.
So we know now the first person who hired Eddie after Sam started working with him wasn't who he said he was. But they found her and managed to rescue her. Even though no one was paying them to. And put themselves in a lot of danger.
Why I'm going to keep watching this is she's cute (I'm referring to her behavior0. Very good looking too.

I started watching this series as soon as it aired. It is more lighthearted than most of the cop/P.I. shows that I watch and I am enjoying it. I needed a break from heavy drama.

^^^ Amen to that. I love when there is comedy and all of my other favorite cop shows are no stranger to having some: Walker, Texas Ranger, Blue Bloods, and The Glades.

The look on Sam's face when she was in court. Eddie was obviously going to help her and she knew it. if he wasn't, she would have been facing jail.
She is really valuable to his work. He won't admit it. but he'll have to.

Holly I have read that it doesn't know past this season if there will be more. All I know is that they will have 12-13 episodes for this summer season. |

Holly I think Take Two is doing okay. It is middle of the pack for Thursday summer shows, with 2.87 viewers for the latest episode. *** I am enjoying the episodes very much. I like the rapport between Sam and Eddie. It is endearing the way Sam looks to Eddie for compliments when she does something helpful, and he reluctantly praises her. They did an excellent job of remodeling the office. The gig Sam's agent talked her into doing is ridiculous. I laughed when I saw Eddie was watching. I also hope it gets a second season. There are ten more episodes for the current season and the next episode looks amusing. |

I forgot to look for these articles online and I could have probably seen it yesterday, but I'm glad I didn't take the time. What I end up doing is reading the whole newspaper for that day if they have it. I had forgotten this girl was on "Nashville". I couldn't stand her there and I got fed up with her CW series pretty quickly. I have no time for the likes of this if I'm going to catch up on newspapers and all those shows I recorded and haven't watched yet.

Ex's and Oh's - When Sam's ex-fiancé shows up asking for help after his laptop is stolen, Sam and Eddie race to find it before a sensitive video on the hard drive becomes a viral sensation.
I enjoyed Sam's dilemma very much. She was horrified that her ex had kept a compromising video of her on his laptop. The laptop was stolen and the ex was frantic to get it back. The thief was selling the video to the highest bidder. When they found and opened the laptop, Sam realized he had taped other women also. That was embarrassing.
Of course, the case was more complicated than that and the investigations were interesting.

Don't let anyone tell you that there is less work to do on holidays. There is more, so there will be holidays.
Anyhow, I'm caught up and I'll check the DVR for tonight's episode.
I was concerned I was losing enthusiasm for the show. I wanted to laugh but if Sam was in danger, I just wasn't enjoying it. I did like seeing her pretend to be from Homeland Security. She was really good. And later she wore that ridiculous costume.
Then she was in the sex tape. I was enjoying her freaking out and hoping we'd see something. But eventually I just wasn't happy. Things got better.
Cop shows just aren't what I like. There is the one with the zombie investigating murders but she becomes a different character each week, eating the victim's brain and taking on the victim's characteristics. It's not as funny as it was.

Death Becomes Him - I enjoyed this episode even though Eddie and Sam were in danger. I never think anything really bad will happen to them; therefore, I do not become anxious. Eddie's reaction was too funny when Sam reached for his belt and started tugging it off. Eddie was a true gentleman as he tried to avoid offending Sam, but he was not agreeing to any last-day-on-earth hanky panky. Then later, the detective held up the bra and belt and asked them how long were they in captivity. That was funny.
The attempts at murder were serious, but there was a lighthearted vibe to the episode, and I like that.
Sam tracked down Eddie's (vintage) surf board and generously gifted it to him. I hope the show is around for a long time so we can learn about both of their lives and what affected them.
