This is really good. I was just watching it because of Kristin, and I assumed she would be helping the girls, but it quickly became clear she was doing everything she could to keep the company form doing just that. And she was really good at it. I had never noticed how good an actress Kristin was. But after all those years of anti-Lana posts on the WB and CW sites, I finally got the message. And she's really good at being evil while trying to come across as sweet. Here, it's similar except she's not sweet. But it looks like now that she's seen what is happening to the girls and she knows it's not her company that's doing it.
Plus she looks amazing.

I'm so happy Joanna is on the right side now. I couldn't believe her father asking where her priorities are. There does appear to be a case and one that could be lucrative for whatever law firm takes it. Right now that looks like a rinky-dink firm with no resources. Joanna will have to use her savings. Who knows how long that will last?
And the number of girls keeps growing.
I suspected the dog would provide us with the key to the case. The dog's death looks like it was related to what is hurting the girls.
I thought CBC was non-commercial. In fact, the commercial breaks don't seem to happen naturally the way they do when there were commercials to begin with.
No one is busy. I would dispute that. Those people do real work. There is a lot of industry from the sound of it.

This just keeps getting better. Now they've found real evidence. And people want this investigation to stop.
I've assumed this was in the United States but there was a reference to Winnipeg. If it really is Canada it'll be getting cold soon.
Joanna looked good when she was running but why do so many women cover their legs to do it?

Maybe things aren't going to go as well as we hoped. The one girl's mother was very upset Joanna spent time with her, and took the girl to see her grandmother.
And Joanna won't admit using her savings. At least she's getting along better with her father. But the situation looks hopeless.

I have to wonder if poor Joanna will ever accomplish anything. Nothing is going her way.
I was sort of hoping Luna was her sister.
Oh, good, now we have people who are overly religious being judgmental.
The second prom was nice.
Am I forgetting something? Weren't they playing football when the show began? The hot weather and prom would be in spring. I was thinking it would start getting colder. And if that one girl was so hot, why was she wearing long sleeves with a miniskirt and a top that was too short?

No scenes from next week, but it can't end like this.
Joanna has just given up. And who can blame her? her expert went over to the dark side after saying she didn't have a case. Now even one of the girls just cares about a cure, but what if that man's method doesn't actually work? Someone has to be liable. And it's not in their heads.
Luna is upset about something. I assume she is Joanna's sister, but I didn't think that report would have specifics. If she does know, I guess it means her father abandoned her for no good reason.

Nice to see that even after all the obstacles, there is finally a chance something good will happen. We have more evidence of where barrels are. And more connections with others who weren't athletes. So the man was afraid of getting in trouble if he came forward?
People still hate Joanna, or maybe just her family.
The one girl's mental abilities are affected. This is not what the medical expert says it is.
This has to be Canada. No one ever said anything, but Winnipeg, Montreal and Toronto were mentioned. Also, going "to university". We say college. And Joanna's law firm is in Toronto. We know that now. It was so warm, but now it should be getting colder.

I don't know whether I can link to an article I read that mentions this show. I was at a library where access to the articles is free. There might be a charge for reading the article on the magazine's web site. I'll investigate some other time. However, I did learn that this show is set in Manitoba. Which is strange because I thought Joanna's law firm was said to be in Toronto.
No time to watch yet but I had a scare. An Amber Alert came on while I was watching something I had recorded. I thought that stopped me from being able to record, but I guess not. It was all there.

Joanna did a great job convincing the judge not to let her father keep her off the case. But there are other problems. Anyway, this series doesn't have much time left. They'd better hurry.
Somehow I thought Joanna's mother was deceased but I'm glad she was able to reconnect with her. I'm amazed she was able to help.
I'm very confused. One girl's symptoms started in December? We've never seen winter on this show. If it's Canada, that's real winter. It was so hot one of the girls had to dress inappropriately. Now there are fall leaves.

I was reading somewhere it's not certain this is coming back. I always perceived it as a limited series. We do have a problem, though. CBC can bring it back but The CW is under no obligation to. Remember "Saving Hope" from CTV?

It's back!
I was able to finally watch the episode I have been saving all this time.
The ending was such that this could have been a limited series and I was pleased with the outcome. It looked like it wouldn't happen but Joanna persevered.
I do wonder, if she could just change her name, why she doesn't stay. But a second season may mean she'll be back.
Luna looked so happy when she served those papers. She will be a lawyer!

This should have been on the Vent Thread.
I was trying to recharge my cell phone. I haven't done that lately since I never use it. It wouldn't turn on and there wasn't even a light saying it was recharging. What I had to do was look carefully to see where the charger was plugged in. I couldn't find anything that plugged in to a surge protector but I found something that plugs into something else. I finally found what it plugged into, and then managed to accidentally unplug my TiVo. Twice. Actually, three times because I was checking to see what that was. I should have remembered what the plug for the TiVo looked like.
Fortunately (yes, this happened when I was taping) the episode airs tonight so I can see it.

I forgot I hadn't posted here. However, because of The Tonys I didn't get to watch last night's episode.
It's so sad that the town has gone downhill because of all the money Joanna got for the girls. I do find it distressing that one of them thinks she can act like she's rich. That money is supposed to pay her medical bills and it's supposed to last. And she has to live on it if her problems can't be cured to the point where she can work.
And the cop is really trying to help out one of the kids that might get in trouble because of all the difficulties facing the town.
Luna is so angry. I was hoping she'd be motivated to become a lawyer but right now that's not her focus.
I already knew Joanna was in big trouble because someone took control of her car and nearly killed her.
So now we have an app that prevents big companies from finding out everything about you. And we need it more than ever because a defense contractor has the technology. All of this seems like it's happening in the United States, and yet nearly all the references to places are cities in Canada.
And Joanna's client is the next Zuckerberg and he won't do what he's been told he'd BETTER do.
It's getting exciting.

This show is definitely taking place in Canada and I'm learning some information about their legal system.
A reference was made to "The Crown" making a decision. And Joanna called the judge "Your Majesty". Usually that's sarcastic and the judge considers it disrespectful.
Getting justice for Luna may not be easy. Those who have money usually get out of these situations. Luna's mom doesn't seem to have much to work with.
Joanna is expected to get things done because she's well compensated. Her mysterious disappearances aren't appreciated by her firm.

Wow.
Joanna is told she's needed on a bigger case but if they give some kid the Zuckerberg type, he won't be able to do much.
And now he's taking it down. Or is he? Will the world be a better place with it?
it looks like Joanna will have to stay on the case.
Except …
Wow. I don't care how bad Joanna's father was.
Luna wants to help her friend, but how much can she do? And she seems to be in a lot of trouble now.
Taylor's not being fair to her father, but I guess he doesn't understand. She could still be sick.

It wasn't what I thought. What Luna did was enough to get her arrested.
The cop sure is mean to Native Americans. I can say Americans because she's North American.
Luna's mom sure looked like she was in trouble.
I was surprised to see two uniformed cops investigating a murder but on TV it's always detectives. And someone said the RCMP should be involved. Oh, that's how it works.
Joanna sure is being mature about all this. Her firm is being nice.
Lots of suspects, but most of them have an alibi.
Oh yeah, that's his brother. Until he was back at home I didn't know who he was.
I hope Joanna can get Luna out of her jam.

It's hard to believe Luna is in gaol. No, really, I thought that was an English term.
I feel so sorry for Luna but at least her roommate cares about her. Enough to get taken away for beating up an inmate who bullies Luna.
On this show Native Americans (America being the two continents since this is Canada) rather than black people who are treated like second-class citizens.
Joanna has to go through so much, considering this was her father, but I'm glad she's pushing hard to get Luna freed. The prosecutor didn't seem too interested but he did help Joanna when he heard it was her sister. Even though there may be a conflict of interest that could get Joanna in trouble.
And Joanna is really trying hard to find the truth.
It appears Canadians have the same rights as Americans.
And now Taylor is in trouble too. I misunderstood how much trouble because the proof came during a weather bulletin. I found the video of the episode online today and saw that they're just putting pressure on Taylor but they can't charge her.

Things just keep going from bad to worse for Luna. Indigenous potential jurors don't get jury duty notices. One man who dismissed for no apparent reason but he looked indigenous.
I thought Luna's cellmate would get to come back from being "in the hole" but now she gets a new cellmate? And she seemed bitter already and didn't give the girl any encouragement.
Joanna is working too hard. I wasn't surprised when she fell apart. But she handled herself really well at that restaurant and when she can do what they need her to do, it looks like she'll do it really well. I liked the music at the restaurant and NOT the music at the spa.
And Joanna shouldn't have been driving. I thought surely she'd find another way to get back to Millwood.
The brother may have provided a way to get Luna out of gaol. And then we find out he's crazy. His motel room looks like Sherlock Holmes' brownstone. Now that doesn't mean he's crazy but the way he was talking, that's not going to help.
But it COULD be true the brother was supposed to be in that room, and Joanna's father was the victim.

I guess now the brother will get the help he needs.
Joanna finally fell apart. That's good. She needed to get that out of her system. But she's being pressured to go back to work. It helps that she supposedly called the feds and her tech guy escaped. And now her tech girl is a real threat but she may be the murderer.
Meanwhile Luna is turning bitter. Her cellmate is like her but she won't help her.
Nice how the cop helps the old neighborhood, only he can't be a cop.

It's over. I didn't even realize it was the last one until I heard someone say "this finale is sponsored by ...'
Once again, everything seemed hopeless. Luna finally made friends with her cellmate. She felt like she had no hope.
Joanna came up with an idea and it worked. The cop had to show that the chief was racist, and when he brought in that witness, things were looking up. Joanna had to put her career at risk, and her best witness was in the looney bin. She had to lie about deleting evidence. But all those things that were happening to her could be used to show what really happened. It all worked out. Her father's murder was an accident, and the real killer confessed!
And they got rid of that chief.
And I thought Joanna was going to Singapore. They left us hanging, again! She and her partner might stay in Millwood!

It's back! I had no idea I'd enjoy it so much.
I was getting worried when the first case was boring. But they lost. And it hit Joanna really hard. Though her hair looked great.
And one of Joanna's best friends from high school lost her kids. Someone has it in for her. Joanna is working as hard as she can to correct this. But it's not easy.
I really didn't like Cat though she is cute. But as her relationship with Luna became more pleasant I felt better about Cat. It seemed like all that girl could do was criticize, and anyone who doesn't work hard for what they get doesn't deserve it.
Luna's worried about Taylor and I don't blame her. But she's doing everything she can to help Joanna.
And the problems just keep coming. Someone faked that drug test result. Maybe both of them.

Looks like Billy and Joanna have found the solution to their problems. But a hedge fund in "The Peg" (didn't know they called it that) wouldn't be any fun to watch. And Joanna cares too much about her friend.
Everything is going against them. I did enjoy seeing Billy and his father at the track. I wish they hadn't gotten thrown in jail and I wish Billy had gotten the affidavit. The judge seems like he would have changed his mind with some evidence.
I'm worried about Taylor. At least we get to see what she's doing.
I was worried when Luna took Joanna's friend to get her test. Looks like things will work out from that, as long as no one tampers with the results.
It looks like the grandmother has been up to no good.

This show just keeps getting better. Not that things are working out for Joanna's friend. And now Joanna finds out her mother didn't need to be put away, but her father had an affair and was trying to cover it up. And Joanna was misbehaving at the time.
And Mercer managed to find her hiding place. And then promises were made after they managed to escape without getting caught. Then promises were broken.
And things are getting bad for Taylor.
And Luna gave bad advice and if it weren't her sister, her boss would have canned her.

Luna is so smart.
Now it did require her to face one of her greatest fears. But one cop has always been on her side. He wouldn't give her what she wanted, but she was persistent and now they know where the cops went. Now family services is picking on a pregnant woman?
Joanna's pregnancy test was wrong. And that's the key to the situation. The drug tests are wrong, the one school is working with family services, and there is a conspiracy.
Cat is so cute but I don't like what is happening. When two people kiss in a hot tub, I want one to be a guy and the other two be a girl.

I like this show even though it's not funny, but it was funny last night.
Joanna can't get a break. This case will take all season.
I certainly understand why people who lost their jobs due to her actions the first season wouldn't like her.
Cat and Luna were so cute sitting in the back asking people to come sign up.
And Taylor has her own problems.
What is the chief trying to do? And now Mercer has an official reason for harassing him.

Last night's episode wasn't nearly as enjoyable as others, and I'm glad I didn't put it in my top ten.
Joanna is falling apart but she gets right back to work and pushes herself. And one obstacle after another keeps coming up. But sometimes there is good news.
I don't know whether Canada has search warrants but the chief shouldn't have gone through Mercer's stuff like that and then arrested him.
A baby being born is always good for laughs. We are now in an era where you can look up how online.
