First two episodes focused on teenage drama. I saw on Twitter that people feel the same way about that as I do.
It seems like the third episode will begin to focus on Texas Ranger duties.

Well, that's good. Maybe I don't need to see the pilot. See why I have to decide if it's worth the trouble on the All American thread.

The show became very good and focused on Walker and the consequences of some undercover work he had done.

Exciting episodes showing Cordell doing things that his rookie partner does not approve of. At the end of the latest episode, he found out who was really behind his wife’s death. A confrontation took place where the person tried to kill Walker and Walker did something that is going to get him in trouble. One more episode to see how all of this ends.

First two episodes focused on teenage drama. I saw on Twitter that people feel the same way about that as I do. It seems like the third episode will begin to focus on Texas Ranger duties. I thought I was going to enjoy the teenage drama. I wanted to see Walker help the immigrants. Instead I just got the teenage daughter (who was at least pretty) getting upset with him. Yes, he should focus on her and her brother instead of taking jobs that keep him away from home. I liked his wife and it was a shame what happened to her. The rural setting is nice when they are at the grandparents' place. I do have a reason to be interested in Austin. My cousin taught at UT for many years and her mother moved there to be with her. Also, most of my money is there. At least the people who send it to me when I need it. I'm not crazy about his partner and it seems she has taken over Chuck Norris' martial arts duties. I guess that's too much to expect of Dean. Yes, he's Dean's brother but he'll always be Dean to me. Which reminds me. I recorded the finale and the episode that explains everything but never really felt the desire to watch, but since I did, then that adds to what I have to deal with. See the All American thread.

I do like the series and watched it faithfully.
The father played his grandfather on “Supernatural”. He was a better parent in Walker.
The mystery about his wife’s death lasted the entire season, but it was good to see her throughout the season.
I am not interested in Walker’s brother’s relationship drama but, otherwise, he is a good character.
I was sorry their friend was killed. I like the bad boys.

I saw two more episodes and I'm not feeling much better about the show.
However, I do like the scenes with the daughter better than anything else. That's not to say I like the daughter but she has potential.
I sort of liked the friend who helped them solve a case but then turned around and tipped off those the rangers were trying to catch.
Walker never shaves. His former partner, now his boss, told him to and he never has. And I'm liking this man better because he's not quite as by-the-book as he was to begin with.

Another observation: They have high moral standards on this show. But because he was on "Gilmore Girls", it's all right to drink and drive as long as you're not falling down drunk. Fans of that show recall Lorelai drinking whenever she and Rory ate with her parents and yet she drove home.

What I should have done was select "Keep until I delete". How did I lose five of them? The good news is this is available for free and I'll just have to start back watching one each week. I'm still not through with "World's Funniest Animals", though, after I lost the end of "College Bowl" during constant weather bulletins due to Fred. And even worse, I lost all of "Call Me Kat". I thought I would have selected "Keep until I delete" for those. That show gets repeated. I hope. Two are on this week, but not the right two. Also four "Jeopardy" episodes were lost. And I don't know why I lost all these at once.
And this is why I didn't watch one last night.

Now this is more like it. Like him or not, "Duke" got things done. It was like an episode of "MacGyver".
I didn't recognize Walker's partner but later I realized it was her. Se did a great job. It sure seemed like things were going south for a while and innocent people would die.
And August showing up there! He could have been in real danger and could have jeopardized the whole operation.
And Walker's partner's roommate is Stella's soccer coach!

I wish there was more about this show here. The latest episode I watched was the best one yet as Cordell tried to fix up his favorite bar and failed. I especially liked the flashbacks where Emily was alive. With the family involved maybe they'll fix up the bar rather than see it torn down.
It seems the bar's owner is the latest villain. And Stella's boyfriend knows Cordell is Duke, who the boy's father thinks is dead. These are negative developments.
Plus Cordell's partner's mother is the person who decides if he gets his job back, and his partner has been coaching him. But wait ... the mother was arrested.

The series continues to be good and they do answer all of the questions we might wonder about.

The latest episode I watched was even better.
Well, it was for a while. Walker's partner found out her mother was her aunt and she wanted to tell her but kept coming up with excuses. So she was not the therapist to that woman but the sister.
I wondered why the soccer team would play an underground game. Oh, they weren't supposed to be there. And then the bad guys showed up. How Walker got there so fast I don't understand, and I don't know how he figured out where they were. If Laredo is on the border, that seems a long way from wherever Walker was.
Meanwhile Walker's supervisor and brother are investigating Emily's murder and the gallery owner didn't let on she knew who she was talking to. and they're actually in Mexico.
Speaking of Emily, Genevieve was on "Celebrity Family Feud". She said her father-in-law would be mad about her answer. She and Tia Mowry were on Chris Bosh's team.

A different and more entertaining kind of adventure. Stella knows her boyfriend has a secret he's been keeping from her. But she doesn't know just how bad it is.
I'm glad the kids could have a good time while the adults were out helping those hurt by the tornado.
I think there's just one more I have to watch online.

I was all set to start watching the remaining episodes on the TiVo but I remembered I delayed watching the last online episode because of all the extra stuff I had to do to go to the beach. It's just as well because I had plenty of other stuff to do because I went to the beach.
So this Sunday I watch the last online episode, then I watch what is still on the TiVo.

And now I'm through watching this show online.
Wow. Walker came this close to killing the person who killed Emily. It would have been self-defense. If that was the person. Geri did it, so she's the one who has to live with the guilt.
And Geri put herself in danger to do it, but the rangers were there in no time.
And there was more normal stuff going on at home.

I thought I was through watching online. I double checked the episode number and it was 11, not 10. Why did I not select "Keep until I delete" for all the episodes? Now i have to watch Episode 10 online. It's just as well because somehow I ended up finishing up on the computer yesterday as late as if I had watched the episode.

I enjoyed watching them fix up the old bar.
Stella took a chance going to the prison. And shouldn't she have an ID? I don't think she actually worked there.
Her boyfriend tried to warn her things weren't safe if she was with him.
I don't think Liam is old enough or experienced enough to be a DA.

Wow. That was a hard episode to watch.
Cordell and Hoyt had to rob a bank ... or else. That was great how Hoyt was so polite. And I hated what happened to Hoyt.
The kids had to be so brave as they took instructions from the coach. The actor playing Liam, as he was about to be branded, seemed too casual about it. After all, he wasn't going to feel the pain.
The man's son was being asked to do too much.
I have one more episode and then if it's necessary to watch in order, another online episode for some reason.

Exciting episodes showing Cordell doing things that his rookie partner does not approve of. and Walker did something that is going to get him in trouble. This is the plot of every show of this type. You could say the same thing about "Magnum" and "MacGyver".

I am up to date on the episodes. I am glad everyone in the family is getting along with each other, but they are not getting along with others.
I like Walker’s partner, but she is leaving the show for personal reasons. She said she might show up in some later episodes.

If you remember which episode was the one where they robbed a bank, you know how much catching up I have to do. I don't really care for Walker's partner but she's growing on me, so I'm not sure how I feel.

A lighter episode for a change. Walker and his family moved an alpaca and four horses to their ranch. No, not a llama, and they eventually couldn't leave it behind.
And Walker's partner fought for an audience. Where did she get that outfit?
Hoyt is a good name. Axton was a good singer and songwriter. And before my parents had a washer and dryer, I remember seeing the name Hoyt.
The next episode was recorded. I couldn't remember which one was missing. The next two weeks did not have an episode, unless they were reruns.

The alpaca reference is the second time Padalecki has used the animal in his shows. In a "Supernatural" meta episode, Jared's real life wife told Dean Winchester, "It's an alpaca, not a llama, dummy." I enjoyed the reminder.

Another light episode, with Cordell getting in trouble because he's no longer a Ranger. His partner refused to help him and was bothered when a co-worker bailed him out, but they did work together on a scam involving the partner's biological mother.
There was one time Cordell claimed to be listening to a baseball game when it appeared to be a police scanner. Which team? Probably the Rangers.
The kids are having to deal with other students wanting to know about their adventure. Stella's friend doesn't like no longer being a priority once Stella had a boyfriend.

I was watching the wrong TiVo. I could have turned the other one on, but then I started watching the American "Music" Awards. I thought given the state of music today I'd be through in an hour. It took me two and after that it was too late. I'll watch the next one next week. What I don't know is whether it is the next one because there are two more episodes than episodes I have recorded.
