Two episodes over the weekend and I'm not sure what happened. The last episode I had actually watched was No. 13. The next one had no episode number but it had no "previously" and nothing happened that indicated I had missed anything. The next episode was No. 16.
So here's what happened. Walker's captain and Mickey arrested an Austin cop who was working undercover. He claimed they made a mistake, but the captain knew he was crooked. The captain's vehicle got blown up. Walker decided to return to the force. Stan was willing to let him and while there were other official steps, he was in. Jerry is running the bar.
The captain's son was visiting. He's Black, so his mom must be Black, because the captain isn't. The same cop pulls the son over and mistreats him, and Stella is with him and makes a video. The cop admits the captain went too far. Then the son, once he is out, says he was harassed not because he is Black, but because his father is a Black Ranger. Really? He doesn't look Black. Middle Eastern, Greek, Italian, maybe Spanish. But Black?
In the other episode, Liam and Stan are debating at the school they went to. There is a bomb threat so the debate is called off. The students have to go somewhere and Cordell invites them (couldn't be all of them) to his bar and says no alcohol. Cordell and Mickey investigate and there are some funny moments at the school with old photos.
Stella's friend is going to Mexico. She's not happy. Neither am I/ I wanted to see more of her and her parents. Augie's girlfriend breaks up with him.
Liam and Stan go to the ranch. Liam's parents still haven't told most of the family about the cancer.
And in one of the episodes Mickey's boyfriend gets into medical school but now he doesn't want to go, and his mother is making trouble, and Mickey doesn't want children and forget her birth control pills.
The man who confessed to killing Emily says he didn't do it. Could this be from the mysterious missing episode? Anyway, Cordell goes to his hospital room and is told Stan ordered it. Stan meets with a reporter, they get into a physical fight, and the reporter falls and hits his head. It's clearly an accident, but Stan has to fix things. So he calls his goons, runs Cordell off the road, and makes Cordell dig the grave. Cordell manages to get in a position where only he has a gun and ... cliffhanger. Oh, this isn't good.

And now I'm ready to start on season two, if I haven't missed any. I see no evidence that I have, even though the episode numbers indicate otherwise.
That was an exciting finale. Cordell took Stan hostage and claimed he was just bringing him in in his capacity as a Ranger. He was shot at by deputies who were out of their jurisdiction.
Speaking of which, I knew what city was in Travis County, Texas when this was on "Jeopardy".
And then the family joined Cordell and heard the whole story. My this time Cordell seemed to be on Stan's side. It was terrible what Stan had to do, but what choice did he have? They'd have killed Emily and Stan would be dead too.
Getting Stan into custody was a challenge because Cordell didn't know who to trust. I don't even remember how it happened.
And it wasn't over. Someone shot at Stan at the courthouse. They were right to wear those vests.
Everything is back to normal? There is a mysterious person outside.

Didn't have time to start season two. I finished up very late on the computer, partly for reasons explained in the Vent Thread.

I should have mentioned this on the Vent Thread but I forgot. I won't get started on this show for at least three weeks. CBS has shown Hallmark movies (well, they could be) for the past two Sundays. "SNL" was new. Even without these reasons, I lost Cedric the Entertainer's video show. Twice. I didn't want the man who came to install my cable card in my new TiVo to hook it up to the tuning adapter, but he did, and in such a way I couldn't disconnect it. Now it's not working right. I unplugged the tuning adapter, and somehow the cable works even though it goes into a device that is unplugged and the signal goes from there into the TiVo. I also lost a movie.
Plus because it rained on Sunday I missed the church service. I do have a portable radio but don't know what I did with it, but I don't want to run the car radio and either run my car battery down or waste gas. It's possible to hear what's going on inside but if it's raining, that keeps me from being able to hear, and opening the car door means it gets wet inside the car. If there's a video I need to watch it.
All these videos I have to watch will mean I finish up on the computer later on Sunday, when I am in the habit of watching "Walker".

Nothing to keep me from watching. I finished on the computer so late yesterday I didn't bother with the shows I missed when my TiVo messed up, but maybe next week.
Wow, things have gotten bad. The Davidsons moved back. Cordell remembers a fire. The family blamed Cordell for their father's death because Cordell had to be rescued. Liam has been replaced by a member of that family. One of the Davidsons made trouble in Cordell's bar.
Mickey is undercover and not doing it right. She can't tell her boyfriend what she is doing and yet he showed up at the bar where she was.
Even Stella is having problems with Davidsons.

I watched the first of two episodes of Cedric the Entertainer's video show and I recorded Betty White's "Saturday Night Live" episode, and while I thought I had seen it, the various sketches didn't look familiar. Even if I did see it, it was the condensed prime time version so there would have been stuff I missed anyway.
I also had a new episode of "America's Funniest Home Videos". How is this possible?
And I finished watching The People's Choice Awards.
And I'm way behind on movies but by the time I remembered I missed seeing a movie on Saturday there was only an hour and a half left before bedtime. Movies are two hours.
And yet I decided to go ahead and watch the next episode.
Wow. Mickey was lucky. Her ex knew her but didn't give her up. And if he had she would have been killed. Cordell and the captain followed her and that was somewhat entertaining.
I didn't realize until just now that Mickey was Raven on "The 100". She was good looking there but there wasn't a lot of emphasis of the girls' looks. But here, Wow!
August and this other guy, and Stella and the Davidson kid were in detention and had to find clues to escape and escape room in order to go home.
I feel so sorry for Mickey. I thought surely she'd be able to pull that guy up. Only on TV.
And they lost that evidence because it was set on fire.

Mickey is recovering, but she doesn't seem to want to talk about what happened with her boyfriend.
The Davidsons were invited to join the chili contest. Oh, good, the two top competitors are the walkers and the Davidsons. And Cordell admitted he gave it to them.
And one of the Davidsons is spying on the Walker home. And he seems to be taking over for the people who killed Emily.

Cordell discovered a camera and figured there were more, so he insisted the family eat at their bar. To catch those who were watching the family, he and his former girlfriend, whose husband is in on it, pretended to be having an affair and claimed to have the information.
Stella took the SAT but was very nervous, then the sprinklers went off and she didn't have to finish. But that seemed to be intentional.
Mickey was reckless and got hurt rushing back to the ranch.
And the man who was watching the Walkers got shot before he could shoot anyone.

I like Walker’s partner, but she is leaving the show for personal reasons. Well, it happened. First she talked to her boyfriend. So this was the Christmas episode. Liam and Cordell weren't getting along that well. I liked the little town where they went. that one guy was considerably meaner than he first appeared. He and his associates shot at Rangers. Miller isn't innocent. Augie had to confess.

Liam was drunk even though he was supposed to meet with the lawyers because of his false report.
I enjoyed all the scenes with Stella. Including with her mother. I have only heard of bocce ball in "Golden Girls". At least I think so.
The coach is being watched and the captain is making sure he's all right. I hope the captain will be all right. I never realized it before but he has the same name as a Charlotte DJ who had a nighttime show popular with truckers because the station can be heard from Canada to Florida at night. That was when the station still played music.
Augie can still play music but his shoulder is bothering him.

Having never seen the series I will just assume Chuck Norris is Donald Trump (at least what he and his followers think he is) while Jared is Joe Biden.
Never once did I think Cordell was the person who would take over if anything happened to Larry. And he didn't exactly inspire confidence.
I sure was glad Larry recovered but he needed to avoid work.
His son looks like someone I went to junior high school with. Back then. I thought I had friended him on Facebook but it was the guy who looks like Jack on "MacGyver". Different last name.
I was really hoping they wouldn't shoot the guy. He could have put his gun down.

All caught up.
I have a feeling the death of Serano won't be the end of trouble with him.
At least there wasn't a cliffhanger.
And the captain is back at work.
Liam had evidence of not only watching the Walkers but also threatening a Ranger. But only if the identity of the man stayed a secret.

But nothing recorded.

New partner for Cordell. And she uses a taser on him and puts him in the trunk of a stolen car he is investigating. She accuses him of using the name of a Ranger who is in the news. If he does that, wouldn't his face be well known? Or would it not be shown because he has worked undercover?
It was a funnier episode than usual.
Stella has a new boyfriend.
And the ranch is on Davidson property?

Oh, great. The only evidence is a yellow sheet of paper and all that controversy related to the lantern and the fire is connected.
Cordell's new partner handled a drunk Dan really well but now his wife knows the truth.
Now they're going to settle the property line dispute with a horse race?
Legally, as I recall the Walkers have a case, but more paperwork is needed.

Walker's father was walking into the bushes, presumably to bury that pesky lantern. I do not like Walker's friend observing Bonham walking away with the lamp. I want to know what Stella thinks about her boyfriend sending a text about the lantern. That was a red flag.
Walker's new partner might let him get away with a lot of stuff because she is also wild.
Is it just me, or does the show spend more time on family drama than they do on police work? I am not complaining because I enjoy it. However, I know I will fast forward to the conclusion of the horse race to see how it ends; then, I will rewind and watch it. I get anxious watching stuff like that.

I don't mind the family drama since I like the characters. I recorded American Pharaoh and when I turned the TV on, it was all over and the Triple Crown had been won. So I got to watch the events leading up to that and the race afterward. Oh, this post was made before Thursday. So we didn't get a new one? I was so disappointed.

There was a worse ending than I expected.
Did someone cut the strap on Walker’s horse?
Did someone frame Walker’s father?

No one has taken the blame for cheating in the race. And they haven't tried to get out of leaving the ranch.
I can tell you there is good news about Cordell's father. And a surprising detail about Geri which is related to the fire.

Walker's new partner saw her old captain at the Rangers' fair and found out the truth about the investigation when she got Walker to pretend he was interested for another reason. Or was it the truth?
Even the kids like Kansas. They do nice harmony, anyway.

I looked up "Carry On, Wayward Son" and its use in the series takes on a whole new meaning any "Supernatural" fan would understand.

I am glad Walker's father is out of jail. (That is ironic because when he played Jared's grandfather on "Supernatural", he was the worst grandfather.) It was not clear to me if the man who confessed to being present during the murder was charged with a crime.
Walker was not at all subtle when he talked to the Captain, but he did get some information. The missing ranger story is complicated. Are they hiding him from someone who wants to assassinate him? I can think of no other reason.
Who cut the stirrup strap?
p.s. I just learned today Jared Padalecki is recovering from a serious car accident.

No mention of a delay in filming. But it was a big deal to fans who spent thousands of dollars to go to the convention in which he was absent. They mentioned fans of "Walker" and "Supernatural" attended. This is the second time I recall Jared bailing on a convention. The first time was due to "burn out" and stress. To make up for it, he did a charity drive to help combat depression. Smooth move to avoid backlash.

"Bygones" theme ran throughout the episode. Twyla, the lady Walker conned in the first season, worked with the Rangers to trap a counterfeiter.
Stella lied to her family so she could meet with Colton. They wound up doing something good for the horses.
Bonham agreed to help with some work that needs to be done on the ranch even though he is still hurt that they lost their home.
And Captain James is working on reconciliation with his wife.

Smooth move to avoid backlash. Jared isn't exactly what I would have expected on a show based on a Chuck Norris series. If fans support him, I guess that's enough. But if he's doing all this wrong, and having these problems and not living up to the Chuck Norris image, I can't see this show continuing. If you ask me, the actor playing Liam comes closer to the Chuck Norris ideal, but I guess Jared was the bigger star after all his years on "Supernatural".

I saw the episode too. It was really good. Twyla had me fooled but she came through in the end. And she looked great in that dress. I'm confused about where they were when it was revealed Stella got into that college. They don't have a house yet. For them to work the ranch would be a solution, but they'd be working for someone. Is that $50,000 a YEAR? I also noticed in-state costs weren't that much lower.
