Need a summary of what was written. I spent more than 10 minutes answering questions and still did not get results.

Need a summary of what was written. I spent more than 10 minutes answering questions and still did not get results. I can't get to it. I'll try the web site I go to through the library. Okay, here it is. It won't be back in the Fall but by starting midseason it will have a "largely uninterrupted run" of episodes.

Chrissy co-hosted the Rose Parade coverage. Hoda and Al weren't allowed to, I assume because of COVID. I also watched some of ABC's coverage which is more professional and not cutesy, but leaves out a lot. You watch ABC for behind the scenes looks and interviews.

They crammed a lot into the episode. I thought they would focus on the whole family getting together for the party, but it was about much more than that.
As soon as they talked about the space shuttle Challenger, I knew people would be sad.*
All of the big 3 were beautiful children. Nice casting for them.
Kevin has matured. Even though he was upset about Madison's friend, he handled it well.
I thought I read Toby and Kate were getting a divorce, but it did not look like it in the episode. Must have been a misguided rumor. It was nice Toby was able to come home for Kate.
I loved Randall's generous attitude and thoughtfulness. I hope there are no more mental breakdowns for him. *** *It has always stayed in my memory that shuttle launches had become somewhat routine, so the big media networks had an agreement that one of them would show up and share the footage with the others. When Challenger failed, the onsite media got the scoop.

I was surprised there even was a CNN back then. I didn't get why the kids were drinking Tang, but when I saw the date and what they were doing, I knew it would be sad. I was already out of school and had no concept of what this would be like.
The kids handled it well. They were only five! I'm wondering when they taped this because the kids in this episode would otherwise have had to be babies when the series started. I have read that the kids already filmed their final scenes.
Toby and Kate are handling things well so far.
I had that book Rebecca read. It bothered me to see her getting so obsessed over that one detail. And it was nice to see young Rebecca.
Randall was nicer than I expected to the man who broke into his house.
I'm wondering why he was searching for information on Will. Was that a flashback?
Kevin did handle things well with Madison. And I can't believe he's too old to be The Manny.

Rebecca was having a good day. I liked her conversation with Sally but I was so glad there was a flashback because things were getting awkward.

Most awkward dinner I have witnessed, but I was amused by it. Nicky is blunt and tactless. He revealed in front of the lady's husband that she deflowered him in the backseat of the van. The husband's remarks were just as tactless.
Deja lied about her overnight visit. I am glad she had a good time, but she will have to answer to Randall in an upcoming episode.
It was nice of Nicky to acknowledge that he is finally okay with Rebecca's marriage.

Oh, wow, Randall was mad. But he was more reasonable by the episode's end.
I liked seeing the kids go to the movies but there wasn't enough of that.
Kevin isn't enjoying himself a whole lot but it's a job.
Toby and Kate just don't mean a whole lot to me but I do like Toby.

Well, it wasn't just about a funeral. We learned a lot about Jack's mom.
I liked Debbie and Mike and of course Cat Benatar. Seems like something Kat of "Call Me Kat" would have called one of her cafe cats.
And of course the kids.
Jack's father needed to know.

There was no way I would like this episode with all the emphasis on Beth. I was wrong. she was great when the girl fell.
It's not right to keep the babies from spending Rebecca's last Thanksgiving with the family. But I guess they're her babies.
I enjoyed seeing the new TV series.

I felt the same way and was reluctant to watch the episode about Beth's dance drama. However, I enjoyed the scene where Beth helped the girl and the audience was patient and applauded. I understood the point of view Beth's teacher explained to her, but I was glad she finally told him how his behavior affected her. Hopefully, that is the end of that drama.
I guess Kevin will be looking for another place to live after Toby's unkind remarks. I was happy Kevin was a success on the show because I really like him.
I am a mother and a grandmother and that makes it difficult to take sides on the holiday issues.
I wonder if Miguel bringing a date to the Thanksgiving dinner is what makes Rebecca realize she likes him as more than a friend.
In my opinion, a friend should never expect a sibling to betray her brother's secrets. But they made up in the end. Kate remains my least favorite character on the show.

I did like the happy scenes but this series isn't content o let us be happy. They have to make us as miserable as possible.
At least Kevin and Miguel made up.
I now see Madison did the right thing by not bringing those babies.
When the kids were teenagers, I don't understand the game Miguel and Rebecca were so good at.
Why not Randall handling Rebecca's affairs?

Why not Randall handling Rebecca's affairs? Those were some miserable Thanksgiving dinners. They definitely needed Jack to be there. Now I am thinking the rumors might be true about Toby and Kate heading to a divorce. I can't even remember any happy scenes. Kevin always resented Miguel being with his mother, but Kevin acted friendly when he asked for Miguel's input on the blueprints. There is a gameshow that I watched where you give clues for your partner to guess the word. The rule is you can describe it but cannot use any form of the word in the clues. If I remember the name of the game, I will come back and post it here. It's similar to Match Game, but they are not limited to one-word clues. I was positive Rebecca would choose Randall to handle her affairs. In previous seasons, Rebecca and Kate did not seem like best friends. Dan Fogelman (the show creator) is credited with writing this episode. I hope he does not plan to make the final ten episodes all about the family being miserable.

Not that it means anything since the show is cancelled, but as of November 2020 this was the most expensive show for advertisers. That would ordinarily be a good sign.

I enjoyed “The Guitar Man” and was amused when Kevin let the boy leave with the guitar. I guess Toby will be glad when Kevin returns without it.
It was nice to see Nicky happy. I like his blunt honesty, and I thought if he was at the Thanksgiving dinner, he would have told some of the family how selfish they were acting.
Everyone except the girlfriend and children was in recovery.

Well, it wasn't as miserable as it could have been, but it wasn't all that positive either.
At least there were the flashbacks and it got better later.
When I was in the hospital I tried not to take too much pain medication once it was my choice because I had heard of people getting addicted. I did pretty well with that.
I guess having been in the military Cassidy was tough enough to deal with the pain.
Young Kevin wasn't nearly as tough as he was later. I didn't see that Jack was doing anything wrong.
Eventually, Kevin was willing to let people do the work on the new house. He may have been too hard on Cassidy because the problems weren't her fault.
I feel sorry for Nicky's girlfriend getting stuck with the babies like that because I'm sure she wasn't expecting that. I doubt Cassidy's son was capable of handling it on his own. I forgot the babies were even there when both Kevin and Nicky ended up at the hospital.

Right, I did not see Jack doing anything wrong either. If he had not let Kevin try to swim, Kevin would have continued to insist on getting on the diving board. I was concerned that Kevin would get on the board when his parents turned their back. But swallowing pool water was the best deterrent. I recall that one of the few arguments Jack had with his wife was that she coddled the children too much. There should be a law against crying infants on airplanes. Polite people act indulgent, but it has to be annoying.

I didn't get that he was making the point he was a celebrity, but just like everyone else, until I heard that.

I immediately thought of five ways to transport babies other than airlines. My family travelled every year using different modes. No airplanes until they were old enough not to cry. We were told that the change in altitude hurts babies ears. It hurts my ears too, but I do not cry.

All I can say is at least we were prepared because we think Kate will divorce and remarry.
It's not as bad as I would have expected. Toby really wants to make it work, but his San Francisco job is the only way he can feel like he is doing something important. There was a job in Los Angeles. It would have made him feel he was stuck. Kate, meanwhile, is up for a promotion at her job, and Jack Jr. is learning one house but it would be too much to make him learn another.
Also, Old Toby makes several appearances in fantasies. Kate likes him better.
The annoying neighbor has taken Nicky's place. Nicky's no longer a grouch but this man hasn't advanced.
Little Kate doesn't want to go in the water.
Teen Kate has no dreams and symbolically, the Big Three are trapped in the pool because no one bothered to prop the door open.

Do you need a recommendation this week?
I can say there has not been a more pleasant episode that I can remember.
Randall and Rebecca took a road trip to pick up Deja. They had such a good time and Rebecca's memory is fine.
Rebecca also explained her decision and it's surprising why she didn't choose Randall. But when you look at young Randall in the episode, it's certainly understandable.
Randall was one of the best swimmers (his teacher was there) while his brother and sister were reluctant. And they got out of the pool they were trapped in as teenagers, but not without possible consequences.
