My neighbor called to me as I was walking home and asked if he could make a door for my basement. I said I would like him to. I told him about his cats being down there and about the incident with Vince. I mentioned that I had talked to a man who was recommended for that job but we could never agree on a time and he overcharged me the last time he did work for me (he charged by the hour and neglected to tell me that includes time spent shopping in the big box store for materials) .

I saw a black cat at my neighbors' house, but none have visited me today. The door is finished and there's a concrete block jammed in their other entrance, with a rusted can filling most of the space left. I'm more careful to either clean my cans for recycling right away or just throw them in the trash. I had a bunch of cans I was going to clean when i had time but they rusted. I should just throw them away now.

I had to go outside and get something out of the building with the rake and mower and I saw two cats which I believe to have been Sassy and Fat Britney. I didn't close the door when I went back inside because I was going to come back out, but maybe I should have. The cats might have gotten inside. This morning Fat Britney was in my yard and meowed but wouldn't come near me. Vince rubbed against me. I forgot to mention Kitty City. There were half a dozen cats in the window (and a puppy on the other side ), including one which was dark gray striped on top and white on the bottom, like the veteran's cat.

The man next door called to me this morning and said he has more work to do on that door and he also said when he finished I could paint it. I said I wasn't planning on painting it but I hope that's all right.
Fat Britney was in my yard and started to run away but I spoke softly to her and she rubbed against me in a way that made it seem like an obligation.

Vince visited this morning and meowed and rubbed against me briefly.
Other than that, I only have one cat story to report. I thought I saw a cat go into a drain on a downtown street.

Yesterday morning I saw a gray tabby who wasn't quite full grown look up at me from a ditch and a beige cat run.
Yesterday afternoon I saw a long-haired gray tabby.
This morning Fat Britney was coming down from the ladder as I opened the door to get my rake and wheelbarrow, then she ran home.
Vince was nosing around trying to figure out how to get in the basement now. He later rubbed against me and I could hear his motor.

The veteran's cat was on my neighbors' porch yesterday.
I saw something black in their yard today and when it moved I could tell it was one of the Britneys.

Sassy visited as I was taking my groceries in, but she ran when I came near her. Her face is getting fat like her brother's, and so is the rest of her.
I saw Vince in his neighbors' yard. They have a dog which they keep fenced in. Hope Vince is all right.
Later on Saturday, Fat Britney was next to my house. When I came near she escaped into my basement. Apparently the fix didn't work, so I went over to my neighbor's house, and he came over and did something else which appeared likely to work.

Normal-weight Britney dashed across the road in front of me yesterday when I was walking home, and into my yard today. She ran from me when I tried to get her attention.
I seem to recall seeing a cat yesterday. I was on a street where I was once guaranteed to see cats, but I don't think it was there.
Tuesday I saw the prettiest cat who was striped tabby on top and white on the bottom. And there was another cat with it but I didn't get a good look.

Saturday, Vince was in my yard and I was listening to "Car Talk" on the radio. I thought the guys were using cat sound effects, but the sound was coming from outside. Vince was up on the ladder and looked like he was trying to come down. Then I realized he wasn't making the sound. There was only one possibility. I went for a closer look and there was one of the Britneys on one of the structures that support the roof of the building where I keep the mower and rake. She was hissing and making other unpleasant noises. I forget which Britney, but I saw the other one in her own yard. It was probably Fat Britney showing her disapproval to Vince because she's the one that comes over. Sassy was two houses over yesterday. Vince's old home has new residents, it appears. The "for rent" sign came down and I've seen vehicles there. I passed Kitty City again and there were kittens in both display windows. ;D Mostly striped tabby or a mix of tabby and some solid color. The cat whose house is always under construction was outside drinking water. I saw a cat that looked like Sassy in the road. It was too far from my house to have been her. I was walking on Monday and saw several cats. I usually see many more on that street.

Vince visited yesterday. I heard a noise like another cat was mad at him but never saw the other cat.
I also saw Sassy this morning but not in my yard.
And a black cat who was small and thin ran toward my neighbors'. I don't know whether that was Normal Weight Britney, but I don't think she's that small.

Vince was over this morning and he rubbed against me. I pulled out the mower and that scared him.

I saw Sassy in her yard. She hesitated before jumping the fence, like she looking around was hoping for an easier alternative.
I think it was Normal Weight Britney who went down the ladder and took off when I got out my rake this morning. But she seemed fatter than usual. Not fat enough to be Fat Britney, though. But she didn't have Mommys eyes.
Vince paid a visit too.
Yesterday I saw one cat. At least I think it was a cat. Whatever it was looked malnourished and pathetic.
I also saw the veteran's cat on my neighbors' porch.

Vince was at my house twice. Once I heard noises from one of the Britneys when he was on the ladder. Another time he rubbed against me but not for long.
My neighbors had visitors that included a rather large dog.
And I went on a walk over the weekend past a house that had kittens several months ago. They're grown up and were scattered around the neighborhood.

I came home yesterday to find Fat Britney in the tall grass in my yard.
Kitty City had half a dozen cats. One was gray striped tabby on top and white on the bottom. Another was red tabby but kind of thin.

I only remember that one Britney was next door and the other was in my yard.
And that one day I heard cat fight noises.
And the veteran's cat went out to greet him when he got home.

Sassy came over Saturday when I was dumping my trash. She was generally annoying and afffectionate.
She also came over this morning. I opened the door to get my rake and she left. Then I saw her way in the back where there is poison ivy. I'm not letting her rub against me anytime soon.

Maze, I'll have to see that later. My Internet at home won't allow me to see video.
Vince was over early this morning. I got restless and couldn't stay in bed, so I went out to do yard work REALLY early. I considered going across the street and asking the woman whose kids just got on the bus if she would take Vince's photo, but before I had a chance he disappeared.
I saw Sassy from a distance and normal Britney was on her front porch.

That was cute, Maze. And the older cat was so pretty.
Vince was over Saturday morning but I couldn't get anyone to take a picture.
The woman next door was walking across the yard and Fat Britney followed. So closely, in fact, that the woman tripped, though she didn't fall. She stepped over Britney shortly after that.

That cracked me up, Kyle! Had a nice weekend.... it was rainy, but did fun stuff inside. I've decided I am going to buy a Wii.... my friends have them and we had a riot playing tennis and bowling. I let my friend's six year old daughter paint my fingernails with her "Strawberry Shortcake Spa Set"... and one of the nail colors she choose was NOT part of the set. When I went to wash it all off last night, the banana yellow on my left hand nails didn't budge. Had to commute to work with yellow finger nails.... my so-called friends did not let me rest.

I saw an orange cat yesterday in a yard that usually has several.
Sassy was over this morning. At least I think that was her. I didn't get a good look. Normal Britney was waiting for me when i got home but she wouldn't let me near her. I don't think she could possibly be Original Britney because she's too timid. Fat Britney has the affectionate nature Original Britney did.

More on the Vent thread and the weather thread, but I was outside at 5 this morning and saw a shape which may have been Fat Britney running around my yard. And a little later in a neighbor's yard.
I saw a cat under a U-Haul type truck yesterday. Nice and shady.

Sunday morning, I saw what I thought was Normal-weight Britney up on her hind legs trying to get into the building where my mower is. The door was closed at the bottom but slightly open at the top. She went up on the ladder and I could see that some fur was missing from her face. I said, "You're not Britney. You're Mommy!" She replied, "Yeeah." She came down and rubbed against me. She heard the woman come out to smoke and took off as if shot out of a cannon. When she reached the porch she rubbed agsint her legs.
Later she came back, climbed the ladder, climbed on top of the door and jumped inside.
I haven't seen her since. Supposedly she got out the way she came in. But I have moved the ladder.

Yesterday I saw one lone Tuxedo cat at Kitty City.
I also saw the cat whose house always has work being done on it, or at least has the materials ready.
As I returned to the library, I heard a woman giving directions and said something about "that kittycat store".

I heard the sweet high-pitched meow and looked and there was Sassy. She rubbed against me too. That was yesterday.
I walked on a street where I was once guaranteed to see cats, and not one.
