I saw an orange tabby across the street from me. It was all orange, so it wasn't Vince getting comfortable on someone's porch. I haven't seen Vince lately.
And yesterday I saw a cat I may have mentioned here. Very pretty. Part orange tabby, part gray, part white.

Vince was in my yard and my neighbor who took Sassy's picture appeared to be home. I should have just gone over. And then by the time she came over Vince might be gone. I'll do it the next time.
Sassy was in the birdbath drinking this morning. I also saw a cat or something while I was in the bathroom. I say "or something" because I saw a big black dog beside my neighbors' fence and ... "evidence" in my back yard.

I really need to mow my back yard. Sassy was hiding in the tall grass.

On a street where I once saw nine cats, I saw three. One was long-haired gray and one was tuxedo. I forget what the other one was, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Banjo.
I got up early this morning to put in a wash and Sassy was returning home. I saw what may have been Tiger later (it has been weeks), and at one point one of the Britneys, or possibly Mommy.
I forgot to mention the veteran's cat. That's very important today. It went under a vehicle when I passed by, and one day last week it hopped the fence and crossed over the two trash containers to get to the porch.

I think it was Mommy who visited me this morning. But she wouldn't go near me.

I was walking home today and saw Sassy heading for my house. I walked up to her and she rubbed against me for the longest time. Then she started making this weird noise. When I tried to walk away she grabbed me with her claws.

Sunday morning Sassy spent over an hour either on my back steps or trying to get inside. She rubbed against me a lot, but eventually she got tired of my not responding to her. She started making this noise that made it clear she was demanding something and wasn't getting what she wanted.
One of the Britneys, or perhaps Mommy, was in my back yard today.
The woman came out on the porch to smoke, and one of the black cats came running but must have been disappointed when she arrived on the back porch and looked in the food bowl.

I saw four cats on a street where I'm guaranteed to see cats. One appeared to be a tuxedo cat. One was a pathetic little orange patterned tabby. Another had long hair and also looked pathetic. One may have been black but I'm not sure since it wasn't nearby. I also saw a man without a shirt who looked like he was ready to give birth any day. This morning, Mommy (or one of the Britneys) dashed into my yard and scurried up the ladder to the area under the roof of the building where my mower is. It apparently didn't provide shelter and she dased back home. I also saw Sassy out in the rain. Poor kittys!

Yesterday at Kitty City, a gray cat was bothering the other cats in its section, particularly a beautiful red striped tabby whose collar said "Kit-Kat". Donna was the other cat--white on the bottom and a mix of red striped tabby and dark gray striped tabby on top. I couldn't see the gray cat's name.
The other section had three other cats.
And at the house that is always under construction, the cat was just lazy.

On one street where I walk, a tuxedo cat was in a window. It wasn't the cat's window, but that of the house next door.

I have a male Snowshoe named Zorro. He's beautiful, but a little stand-offish. I was used to a cat I had for 15 years who was glued to me.
Plus, Zorro has diabetes so I have to give him insulin injections twice a day. What a pain in the ass.

Wouldn't you be stand-offish of a person that stuck a needle in you twice a day?
My oldest dog needs me to cleanse junk out of his eyes every day and give him eye drops. He always likes to be in the same room with me, but never close enough for me to reach him. He knows something bad happens when I get hold of him.
I am taking care of a cat now that came from an abuse situation. I didn't even see him until he was in the house about 3 weeks. If I managed to touch him, he was terrified. Finally he got a little more comfortable. I didn't want to let him outside because I didn't think he would come back in if I was anywhere near the door. But when he got more friendly with me, I finally started letting him out. He loves it. He only comes in to eat or, occasionally, to nap. Right now, it is pouring down buckets and he's still out there. When he comes in, he socializes with me a while then gets down to the business of eating before he is ready to go back out.

Nah, he's been stand-offish from the get-go. I just got so used to my velcro cat that I'm stunned this one isn't following me everywhere and curling up on my lap until I get tired of it. He won't even sleep on my bed anymore!! He does love to be brushed, however.

I saw just one cat at my former neighbors' house. I forgot to ask about their cats. They have a new dog because their son didn't want him.

Sassy came over but wouldn't rub against me. She brushed against me a couple of times but that's not the same.

There was one day one of the black cats went under my car, and when I got in she ran.
Mommy was in my back yard Saturday. I know it was her because there are places on her face that still don't look like they have fur on them.
I saw what must have been kittens in my neighbors' back yard. I thought they got all those cats fixed.

I haven't seen the kittens today or even asked about them, but I did see the veteran's cat on his porch today. Appropriate.
I also saw him in my neighbors' yard when it was so hot. Those who have served in the military tend to be tougher, and I'm sure that includes their cats.

In the other section was a gray and white cat that appeared to meow but I couldn't hear through the glass. The other people thought that cat was so cute. The lazy cat was hiding behind a plant (it was hot) but I could see it. At my neighbors' house, two black cats were outside early. Later, Sassy was lazy just inside the fence. After eating tuna and cleaning my plate I took the paper towel out to Sassy. She came over later and appeared to have been eating.

At my mom's house... we have a next door neighbor that has a cat. It's a black cat that loves to be outside and we often see it in our backyard... the last few times I've been over there, sometimes when I go into the kitchen, I see that my sister has let the cat in... but only in the room that used to be a back porch, so it's easy to close that room off. Mom does not like that, but my sister loves animals and badly wants a pet again. I've noticed how my sister would let the cat be with her. I've kept it a secret from my mother (and my sister only does it when mom's not home, I don't even know if she knows I know or not). And my sister thinks I don't do anything for her...

You give cats paper towels to eat? They like them. They don't seem to eat the towels themselves, but what I cleaned up. My father used to put them in mayonnaise jars on the back porch, but I decided that was disgusting, so rather than have them smell up the kitchen, I just put them in the back yard until they're ready for the rolling trash can. I put all the trash out on Saturday. That's when I used to take it to the dump myself.

The man working at the college library told someone his cat woke him up when it was thundering. He lives north of where I do and said the storms were to the south.

No actual kitties at Kitty City. Only drawings and a screen saver on a computer screen I could see through the window. The cat whose house is always under construction was hiding in the same place. I saw an orange tuxedo cat, if there is such a thing. I don't recall ever seeing it before. I haven't asked my neighbors, but I haven't seen what appeared to be kittens or puppies lately.
