The former Texaco went down from $3.37 to $3.34 yesterday, and that's what I paid this morning when I brought the can I use to fill my mower.
Wilco-Hess not on Innes $3.30.
Both Citgos $3.31.
And on the web site for the newspaper where I go to the beach once a year, the lowest prices shown are almost down to $3.

The prices weren't this different before when they were higher.
One place was $3.33 in the morning and $3.33 in the afternoon. The new Shell was $3.34. QT was $3.39, though it's probably not that new anymore. My Exxon was $3.37 but I got full service and that's higher. I'm not sure what I should be asking for. If I'm trying to find potential problems, seems like he should be looking more closely.
But a lot of places were $3.43, and by the interstate $3.49.

$3.28 Wilco-Hess not on Innes, $3.29 at one of the Citgos (I didn't see the other one), and $3.31 at the former Texaco.
$3.32 at the former DB, and $3.29 at Kangaroo, QM (where I got about $20 worth) and Wilco-Hess on Innes.
And below $3 on the newspaper web site at the beach.

Today, Exxon was $3.31 for cash, $3.35 for cc Yesterday, Gulf was $3.54 for regular.
I saw on the news that prices are dropping and S.C. had dropped below $3.00 at some stations. None of our stations are close to dropping down that far yet.

$3.29 former Texaco. And the Shell across the street has changed to a lighted display, instead of numbers that have to be changed manually.

I saw $3.19 at one Wilco-Hess.
Kangaroo was $3.25 and I saw a few other places that low but most were somewhere around $3.30.
Across the street from my motel $3.49.

One place was $3.17, even though most places in the area were over $3.30. If you get really close you can see in really small print "with wash". And the much smaller number under that, $3.37, is not the premium price. It says "without wash".
One place was $3.53.

I almost snapped my neck looking back as I passed a station with a sign which posted a price less than $2.00 a gallon. It turned out the station had been shut for years and the numbers on the sign hadn't been taken down. That sign was enough to cause car accidents!

It turned out the station had been shut for years and the numbers on the sign hadn't been taken down. That sign was enough to cause car accidents! I've seen signs like that. Keep in mind, though, that when the economy went in the dumpster in 2008 gas prices fell along with the stock market. $3.16 was the lowest price I saw, at a Wilco-Hess. Most prices were lower as I was going home, and even acros the street from my motel, the place was down to $3.39. The former DB was $3.23 and I passed the Kangaroo but only remember it was below $3.20. At Myrtle Beach the average is below $3 and the lowest price on the web site was $2.84.

Former DB $3.19, Kangaroo $3.16, former Texaco, QM, former Accel and Wilco-Hess on Innes all $3.15 but I didn't get gas because ...
Wilco-Hess not on Innes was $3.11. Both Citgos were $3.12 though one was $3.15 when I passed the first time.
The web site says one place at the beach is below $2.80.

$3.08 former Texaco, $3.07 at the one Citgo I saw, and $3.06 at Wilco-Hess not on Innes. Which for once doesn't have the lowest price in town--I saw $3.05.
No, I'm going to wait.

Yesterday was weird. I was surprised at how low the prices were because usually in this particular town, prices are higher than in the other towns near where I live.
The new Shell was $3.07, and so was one place I was going to pass at lunchtime, so that's where I was going to get my gas. QT was $3.19 and beside the interstate I saw $3.29.
At lunchtime that place I was going to stop was $3.20. I realized I'd better head for that Shell and hope I wasn't too late. On my way there an Exxon was $3.09. I stopped and as I was about to pump the man with the blue numbers was outside with his long stick. But the pump still said $3.09 and continued to until I finished. I paid close to $50 to fill up (though my intention was to stop before that happened so I could get full service elsewhere). The sign said $3.20. As I continued into town places were still $3.09, including the Exxon where I get full-service gas (but that's the self-service price). I asked them to check my tires because it had been a month and I had also gone to the mountains. One tire did need air. I apologized for forgetting that I shouldn't fill up and said I would get gas next time.
On the way home everyone was eleven cents higher than in the morning.

$3.67 cash....and 10¢ more for cc....at Independoil. ( Holly ) Must be premium gas, right? I think the rule here is we post regular. Plus there's a .9 after every price. The former Texaco was still $3.08 on Saturday. Because it was supposed to rain today, I did what is normal for Tuesday on Monday and vice versa. Former DB $3.21. Kangaroo $3.19. Wilco-Hess on Innes and QM $3.17.
